So What's Everybody Drinking Tonight?
Me

Posted on 11/04/2008 7:36:45 PM PST by manapua

Sorry for the vanity, but what's everybody drinking tonight?

I cracked open my fridge and to my horror realized that I had run out of my collection of Belgian strong ales. Oh crap!!!

So it's some 6 month old, skunked macro lager... somehow seems appropriate. About to head onto the Scotch...

Any cocktail ideas for tonight?

White wine mixed with Smirnoff. (Should’ve gone with my first impulse and bought a bottle of tequila! lol!)

Oooh, that's good stuff.

There was a funeral-like mood at work today and a large group of us decided we'd go out for a pricey lunch before it became official that we're all facing confiscatory tax rates. Sadly, I don't see any Black Bush in my future - knowing the trainwreck that's coming for me and my wallet, I can't justify it.

BTW, I've been listening to the NRA News site all night... goes well with the alcohol:

I am on my 4th cosmo and plan to drink for the next 4 yeARS very heavy. I wonder how all these people who said “Obama is going to pay my mortgage and my gas and this and that” how they will feel when President Obama can not deliver on all his promise it is impossible for him to pay for all the things he said he would.
It is like a date before what you wish for you might be disappointed. At least I am not expecting anything oh how silly of me yes I am MORE FRECKIN TAXES

Water from one of my big, blue barrels.

LOL. Nice. I guess the only good thing about this disastrous night is that my city won't burn and I won't have to hole up and subsist on my blue barrels and tinned food for the next few days.

Just heard Virginia went to “The One”, and headed to the liquor cabinet only to remember that all my decent booze is across state at my vacation place.......sheesh.
I had to get creative and throw some Kahlua and a 2 year old bottle of Starbucks iced mocha over some ice. Hell...at least it has alcohol in it.

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale - at least until the 6-pack is gone. Then I'll toss my cookies and go to sleep for the next four years. *Sigh*

Right now I'm watching a 3rd Rock From the Sun Marathon on TV Land, drinking and Freeping...at least we have each other.
