Why wouldn't 4228 North Hermitage property owners Rahm Emanuel and wife Amy Rule not pay property taxes?
One reason may be because Emanuel and Rule declared their 4228 North Hermitage home as the office location for their non-profit foundation appropriately called the "Rahm Emanuel and Amy Rule Charitable Foundation". As a non-profit headquarters, they may consider their home as exempt from paying taxes.

Multimillionaire Congressman Rahm Emanuel (D-IL-5th) claims that he and his family resides in the headquarters of a charitable foundation rather than a single family home. As a result of this ruse, Emanuel pays no real estate taxes on his high priced property.
This is the man that President-elect Obama wants as his Chief of Staff?

Okay, I live in Alexandria VA and my property taxes are waaay too high. How do I go about creating a charitable foundation, making my house its headquarters and getting out of those bothersome property taxes? Oh, and do any of you all want to contribute to my charity?

Someone recently told me a friend of theirs has done this. They live in a state with ridiculous property taxes, so this saves a ton of money. They are planning to leave the foundation to their daughter, so I’m guessing death tax may not apply either.
I am intrigued by this idea. Our property taxes are probably lower than most, but I’m still curious how to go about this. Does anyone know?
Of course, the Democrats are hypocrites. They just want other rich people not in their power structure to pay taxes.

We need a tax person to chime in on this. Here's what I think the deal is. You can always claim the percentage of your home used for business or charity. Didn't know you could claim the sleeping quarters and residential areas?
Does anyone know if a church pays property rtax for the minister's house?

Come on people, don’t you know that in order to be a good Democrat, you must scam on your taxes, lie about your background, deny allegations tooth and nail even when there is overwhelming evidence, and claim to be a person of faith when you’re anything but.

consult your CPA
this one looks like an easy loophole
all you have to do is claim your church offerings (or your kids’ religious school tuition) as “donations” by your private foundation

I think you’ll be learning a lesson over the next 4 years. There will be no vetting of The One or his minions except for the lowly, weak-voiced patriots. The Love-fest has just begun for the MSM.
