You are EXACTLY right. They loved Clinton in the UK.....while ‘taking the piss’ out of him and my country.
I just threw up in my mouth.
I am not particularly fond of Obama (or any other socialist-liberal), but those people weren’t anti-American by a long shot. In fact, the only sure positive thing that Obama’s victory brings is an elevated sense of pro-American sentiment in the world.

I tell you what guys. I will volunteer to go to Hamburg to work on a GOP recruitment effort.
We just need that one vote.

I agree it isn’t necessarily anti-American. It certainly is anti-American principles but they will soon find out whether they like the New Amerika when they are attacked.
The world will love him.
Besides that, I really never understood why the entire world, really gives a rat’s ass about our politics. I certainly don’t care about theirs. What’s it to them who the USA elects?
My canadian relatives act like this. They lecture me on US politics, I sit there asking them, “Why is it so important to you? I don’t even know about your politics nor do I care.”
Besides the obvious “I’m going to show you how much more smarter I am then you”, of course.
How did they get professionaly printed Obama signs in Rome? Who was handing them out?

They don’t like the ‘USA’. It’s just a brand to them.
I can tell you now....Western Eurpoeans and Brits DO NOT like Yanks. I got a snoot full of it for years living over there. We are ridiculed and mocked for the most part.
You're kidding...right? The the only thing these people are celebrating is the potential, and possibly certain, decline of the USA as the world's leading economic and military power. They are celebrating our compromise in character and principles!

Because whom you elect impacts the rest of the world. You are the most powerful nation on earth, in all history, and when the US of A sneezes, the rest of us reach for a handkerchief. As simple as that.
BS. America is despised by most of the world no matter who occupies the WH -- Reagan, Clinton, Bush, Obama ....they don't discriminate. But this unusual enthusiasm for Hussein stems solely from a desire to see America weakened. ....and they know Hussein is just the guy to make that happen.
Hmmmm... Just wait till any one of these countries has a natural disaster or other crisis. Uncle Sam may not be on time with the ‘ready’. Especially, the average Joe in the US who ususally forks over $$$$ for relief and assistance. Average Joe will be pretty well strapped right here forking over $$$ for ‘reparations’ to Mr. Hope and Change supporters.
For all the wrong reasons. Do you use your thought processes?
The Italians still dress well, I see. Nice fabrics; tasteful shades of black and grey.
The Japs are weird. Captured his ears in the picture, though.
Germans who like a charasmatic socialist who hates Jews? What’s nu?
Mussolini’s party, presumably.
Why should we care? Let’s get this Republican party back in order and win some elections already!
Bring back the small government conservatives! Do like Barack and take out infomercials.
Try not to outdemocrat the democrat, ok?
Sarah Palin in 2012! Or someone just like her!
Maybe Mike Huckabee should’ve been our candidate all along? At least he’s an honorable man.
Well, they wanted him, they got him. I don’t want to hear ONE of these countries come crying when terrorism is running rampant because we don’t have someone in the White House that is a deterrent.
Most of them are jealous and don’t like us much anyway.
The same person in the UK who mocks you does it while wearing blue jeans they bought last year in the U.S. during their holiday there because it’s so much cheaper in the U.S. than in the U.K. Many Britons holiday in the U.S. to do exactly that.
They’re envious and jealous, and rightfully insecure. It’s a combination of us doing so many things right or better and them doing so many things wrong or worse with the socialist economies they’ve freely chosen for themselves, and find so hard for them to change
The reason they care is then know that their socialist economies can’t produce s*** except poverty and perversion. They are incredibly dependent on the US economy to keep their welfare states going, and they hate us for it. It’s like an moocher, they despise you for having money, but they can’t function without begging you and they refuse to change their behavior.
Yup. I was talking to my ‘socialist’ UK native hubby a few days ago and asked him ‘why all the interest in the US elections?’ Told him of the horrible opinions of the US being posted on boards by Brits and other nationalities and said they should just STFU. It’s OUR election. Then he said, ‘Well, they’re just being stupid....but we are ‘allies’. Then I asked,”If they are so adamant about the war and the dislike of our country, why are they not pressuring THEIR governments to break allied ties with the US?” He went VERY silent and looked sheepish. I knew the answer, then. THEY need US, not the other way around.
That’s want I meant by ‘the brand of the US’. They wear our ‘$h!t’and our fashions, but we sure don’t get their support.
The State Department has been infested by commie pinkos since the 1930's. I wouldn't be surprised if those signs came out of our embassy.
Most of our ‘allies’ are like boat anchors around our necks anyway. We routinely give more than we get.... and instead of thanks or moral support (pretty inexpensive tokens) we get insults. The sooner we lose them and their problems, the better.
Because we're the Joneses, the benchmark of success and they hate us for it. On the world block we have the biggest house, biggest car, greenest lawn, hottest wife with the biggest boobs, biggest dog, and a fully loaded F-16 with nuclear warheads parked out back. They love the new mayor because he's going to raise our property taxes and bring us down several notches.
I agree . I get into this with my Relatives in the UK. Don't they have enough Problem, without making Our Problem's There' but what ever happens in the US affects us. I just say Quit being so Dependent on the US. Pay back your WW2 Debt.We need the Money these days. OOps forgot Slick Willie forgave all the debt.

“America is despised by most of the world no matter who occupies the WH”
Whether you like it or not, with Obama as the prez, they see a different side of America from what they have learned over the years (through media propaganda, reality, fiction, whatever). This alone makes them re-think their existing prejudices against America and Americans.
Boston and NYY fans do not like each other, but they hardly wish each other death. It is that rivalry thing.
and remember the EU counties are socialist, and they all dislike our constitution and Christianity. They have been clear on that. So, then what are they saying?
Any pics of the Arab countries celebrating?
