While speculation has arisen that Jarrett could take Obama's place in the U.S. Senate, the New York Times reported that it is more likely she will become a senior White House adviser, thus continuing her long record of being an important influence and mentor to Barack and Michelle Obama.

Obama berates the American public for not supporting government sponsored programs to provide affordable housing for the poor and demands higher taxes to fund low income apartments for impoverished minorities.
In reality, the American taxpayer has been funding affordable housing programs for low income inner city residents, including many of Obama’s own former constituents in Chicago, but Obama and his allies have been looting the programs and pocketing the tax dollars while housing the poor in slums. While Obama and his cronies got rich, Obama condemned the program as a failure and demanded more taxpayer subsidies for affordable housing for low income residents.

Obama failed to tell the other board members of the connection that he had with his former boss. Davis earned $700,000 right off the bat for development fees. Davis owns the property. Davis’s son manages the property. Davis Sr., donated $25,000 to Obama’s campaign. No quid pro quo; right?
Her promotion came on the heels of Obama winning a US senate seat in 2005. Michelle's 2006 income showed her earning $273,618 a year in a job as vice president of community and external affairs at the University of Chicago Hospitals, and a ‘paltry’ stipend of $51,200 for sitting on the board of directors for Westchester food maker TreeHouse. Nothing untoward or was there?
