They had one forming in Ontario California. Saw videos of it on the Los Angeles news. The local authorities were starting to kick them out. People from all over the country were there.
I don’t know about Zevon, but subsistence with antique skill sets and antique tools, plus stored esentials, is precisely what we have been setting up for some time now. I know we are not alone.
buys gold and silver...as invested well
How do you drag it all around? Consider the weight.
People would know you have it. Then what? In fact if you produce gold to purchase everybody would know what you have. Be sure to stash ammo and guns. And know how to use.
What good is it if you are hungry and there is no food to buy? Planting it won’t work very well.
It is not so. Money kept by the states would be used much more efficiently because there would be no federal overhead. Every dollar sent to Washington has a 70 cent overhead associated with the cost of fed govt operation. Dura has it exactly backwards. He/it has obviously never played the grants game.
“That is to say, states like NY, CA and CT will no longer be supporting states like Arkansas, Alabama and Mississippi.
“
So, you bought into that liberal propaganda. Dummy. Those numbers included military and federal purchasing and spending. Colorado, a State that receives only 87 cents for every dollar sent to Washington was on that list as being a welfare State simply because we are also a major military complex. Liberals like to lie and you bought it.
Many of the rich states are supporting poor states to an astounding degree. This is the “hidden” redistribution of wealth on a massive scale. States like NY get about 75 cents back for every dollar they send to DC. CT is even worse, getting back about 60 cents. Meanwhile, states like Alabama, Mississippi and Arkansas get back well over a dollar in fed funds. They are simply unable to support themselves without massive cash infusions from Washington.
This system works fine during the good times, but now the rich states have taken a hit and that money won’t be flowing as readily.
Had to be blind to not see the instability and downtrend.
He is entertaining, but anybody with a few functioning lobes would be roughly in the same region.
peppercorns traded like currency
It is suggested one store a reasoonable amount of salt whether you use much or not. Alot of people do not. But others do, and it is good traading stock.
The military spending is a political issue and — sadly — in some instances a form of welfare for local communities.
Nori Seaweed is inexpensive and a good source nutrients Vitamin A & C, calcium, zinc, iodine, iron and fiber.
This is very misleading since it is a table providing figures not normalized by income. Check the average income from states. People in MS are not allowed to make much money and hence don’t pay much. Why is CA asking for billions in bailout?
You may not feel that way when order breaks down and imported essentials such as food are limited or the grid goes down.
The thing about being surrounded by people with conservative ideals is that they mostly will not be looting your home, will band together to preserve some sort of order and will have prepared to the same degree as everyone else. They will have real skills that relate to survival.
Disclosure: I live in a blue county in a blue state, but even my Dem neighbors live by much more conservative values and are more self-sufficient than the average resident of DC and environs.
Time to stock up! We are buying more food now to store.
How do you store them, and flour?
Enter the 0bama era.
It’s much better to develop high end skill sets, make a couple million dollars and ride out the storm
Many of Napolean's soldiers starved and froze to death while retreating from Moscow. Many of the starved and frozen were found with gold coins still in their pockets.
If our economy were to really collapse, a stockpile of gold is not something I'd really want to have in my house.
