Lon Horiuchi murders then gets endorsement money from HS Precision. Boycott this one gun company.

"We the People" never forget. This is one company I will not give a dime to unless they admit to misjudgment and fire the idiot who authorized payment to this murderer. What did they do give him a high five for a head shot to unarmed Vicki Weaver? My money will go to Remington, Smith & Wesson, etc.

He also states: I’d like to thank TD and Ry Jones for bringing this to my attention.

Update: David Codrea confirms that this is definitely not a hoax.

Personally, I forgive but I never forget.

"An FBI sniper by the name of Lon Horiuch shot Randy Weaver in the back. As the three struggled to get back in the cabin, Horiuch shot Randy's wife Vicki in the head as she stood in the doorway holding her infant baby. She was killed instantly. After the bullet passed through Vicki, it hit Harris in the chest. They all surrendered shortly thereafter.

Randy Weaver and his friend, Kevin Harris, were found innocent of all charges associated with the incident with the exception that Randy was found guilty of not appearing in court.

The government was found guilty of entrapment, violating the rules of engagement, Constitutional violations, destroying evidence, destroying reports and falsifying records but no one was ever held accountable. In a civil suite, the Weavers won $3.1 million in damages"

Damned if I would want his endorsement on my products, that's for sure.

We need to contact the NRA because the company claims they support the NRA. I am amazed that this gun company would use this guy to endorse their products. This murderer is well known in the gun owner community.

Defense Driving by Senator Ted Kennedy

or FedEx's new sponsor, Ted Kaczynski

OK, but seriously, HS Precision should be ashamed that Horiuchi was even contacted for an endorsement in the first place. Despicable.

Welcome to FreeRepublic! It’s been quite a while since I heard the name Lon Horiuchi. I see from the story he’s now retired. Unbelievable that this manufacturer would tout his name for publicity purposes. Let’s hope they feel the sting of such a stupid marketing maneuver.

That’s nice. Still has the same middle and lower management, still has the same name, still has the same corporate counsel that recommended they take the deal. Still no apology, still no repudiation of the agreement, still no sale.

It should be easy for the new management to repudiate the agreement, since they just bought the company. The fact that they haven’t makes their conduct questionable at best.

I think Colt was the same way as S&W.

Ruger was not a sellout but they resisted making a carry gun and were against hi caps.

I think Bushmaster was always pretty pure towards gun owners.

Colt didn’t sign the HUD agreement/extortion.

Ruger supported the Brady Bill because they couldn’t figure out how to make magazines that held more than 15 rounds and they thought they’d get an “over 15 rounds” ban that would help their business.

absolutley wrong.

the Brits were the problem now they are gone.

this is ancient history.

Liberals require lip service. Liberals need criminals to apologize to the families of victims..a feel good thing that alows liberals to give probation to violent felons because they look contrite and say “I’m so sorry” with crocodile tears in their eyes.

the middle management of which you speak BOUGHT out the brits and sent them packing.....

and they bought the company and squared this away around 8 or more years ago.....

Bill Ruger was an old man who did not want to make extended magazines...He bought into part of the Brady Bill because he was old and feeble and not thinking anymore....now he is dead.

not that he couldn't make extended mags. That is ridiculous to think the Ruger couldn't make extended magazines.

Boycott this one gun company.

You know, they sell stocks alone through Midway and other companies. Let Midway, etc. know that you won't buy that particular product - EVER - unless they can persuade H-S to fire the person involved and issue a public apology for their crass insensitivity to Randy Weaver and his family.

Oh, and Remington and a bunch of other rifle makers also use H-S stocks as standard equipment on some of their rifles. Let them know that you won't buy any rifle with an H-S stock until ....

Rinse, wash, repeat. We as a community of decent people have got to make companies realize the source of their salaries is We The People, not the overbearing and oft-times criminal government, and if they persist in trying to suck at that government's teat, we'll put them into bankruptcy.

Damn, what's next? A knife company using an OJ Simpson endorsement?

"That guy" is Mr. Cooper; until he publicly apologizes for his support of B. Hussein Obama and admits what an incredibly stupid thing it was to do, Cooper Arms is not "fine" in my book!

BHO, btw, has already named Eric Holder to head the Justice Dept.
Is that "fine" also?

Pity an otherwise classy company like H-S Precision has done such an incredibly stupid thing.

Note also that Brownell’s, Cabelas, Midway, and Chattanooga Shooting Supply are listed as “stocking distributors.” I think these companies would be interested in learning of this.

How the Government Killed All Three

In August of 1992, Randy Weaver was shot, his friend Kevin Harris was shot, and his wife Vicki, and his son Sam, were shot and killed. This incident marked a day of infamy for the federal government, as they were the ones responsible for each shooting. Randy's first book, The Federal Siege at Ruby Ridge, explained what happened to him and his family that horrific day. This book explains how it happened and why. This sequel is a must-read for every American, as it divulges the corruption behind the murders at Ruby Ridge. This book is a wake-up call; so each can see for himself the tyranny befalling our country and the urgency that exists to stand for constitutional liberty!

By Randy Weaver. Foreword by Richard Mack, edited by Richard Mack.

Never met Randy Weaver, done a couple of things with "Sheriff Mack". Richard Mack is "The Real Deal"! Would suggest some of his reading.

To this day, they have not repudiated that agreement they signed, supposedly under duress.

You can easily verify this by calling them, as I did recently, ask if that agreement is still in effect, and when they plan to reject it.

Answer is, yes, and they don't!
P on 'em.
