WND Exclusive CHANGING OF THE GUARD Stress takes toll on Obama, develops chronic facial tic Michelle said to be distraught over spasms under right eye Posted: November 29, 2008 11:40 pm Eastern

The strain of the long campaign and a frenetic transition period is beginning to wear on the face of President-elect Barack Obama, who has developed a facial tic under his right eye.

The tic on the lower part of his right orbital bone is clearly visible in his recent interview with ABC's Barbara Walters. Campaign insiders say it first emerged during the primary season and has now become chronic.

A facial tic is a repetitive, spasmodic movement often involving the eyes and facial muscles. The cause of tics is unknown, but stress appears to increase their severity.

"The patients I've treated with tic disorders had one thing in common: They knew that the tics worsened when they were under stress," said Dr. Robert T. London, a psychiatrist with the New York University Medical Center.

Learn about what America can expect from an Obama presidency in Brad O'Leary's blockbuster, "The Audacity of Deceit: Barack Obama's War on American Values."

Besides the economic crisis, Obama is having to worry about his own security. The Secret Service reportedly is dealing with more threats against him than any other president-elect in history.

"There are a lot of things that keep me up at night," Obama, 47, confided in the ABC interview...

Nothing a little Botox can not take care of. Botox is for such tics as Asprin is for headaches. Small matter.

I think the stress of the Office of the President Elect is getting to him. My, OOh my!! Wonder what will happen if he takes office?! Or is this what he’s worried about?! WILL HE ACTUALLY TAKE OFFICE or will he be the only President to be Selected and yet, not meet the basic requirements of a natural born US citizen therefore creating the largest scandal in history?

Ya know that saying about the BIGGER they are...

Exactly!!! I think this is pretty “telling”. He should not really be worried about anything at this point. He’s NOT President... YET. That phony podium is about as fake as the election.

Not to worry Mr. Prez - elect. Those terrorists, the economic crisis, fuel shortage, possible nuclear threats, mad-dog-biting-angry-liberals that you made impossible promises to, conservatives and independents who do not really like you and the rest of the world who seems intent on America’s destruction can wait. Sleep tight!!

Wait I got it - he's stressed because he won't be able to pay for that lady's gas and her mortgage! Maybe he should take a *pull* on this instead to RELAX! Hope Bong

Could be. I’m leaning toward him being somebody’s love child. Wouldn’t it be fun if it were Idi Amin! That would be Guinnes Book of Word Records HELL FUNNY. The papers would go nuts!

The weird thing is, all this speculation is needless: all he has to do is release his Birth Certificate. The real one.

Hmmmmmmm.... interesting thought, certainly plausible. He does, after all, come from Chicago. Plenty of guilty stuff to go around in Chicago.

I can’t believe it either.

I got a feeling something is coming by Jan 20, but I can’t tell you what it is. I can’t put my finger on it. I don’t know what it is.

Maybe it was just indigestion but I had a funny premonition over a year ago. One that did not make sense, so I won’t name it publicly or privately. I can only assume I’m wrong.

But so many things have happened this year, Russia/Georgia, financial extremes, gov’t bailouts, wild stock markets, etc. Maybe it’s not so far-fetched.

Hmmmm, wonder if diagnosing him with attention deficit was closer to home than not;

http://healthguide.howstuffworks.com/facial-tics-dictionary.htm

Certain medications, such as methylphenidate (used to treat hyperactivity in children), were previously thought to precipitate tics in children already prone to the disorder. However, recent studies published do not support this notion and suggest that these

medications can be used in children with tics who also have attention deficit disorder,

which commonly occurs in the same population.

Wasn’t Øbama said to be using vocabulary that had a hypnotic effect?

Eliminate Facial Tics With Hypnosis and Nlp(Neuro-Linguistic Programming)

http://www.articlesbase.com/health-articles/eliminate-facial-tics-with-hypnosis-and-nlp-226706.html

Tics can result from some nutritional deficiencies such as a lack of magnesium, but they can also very often be symptoms of other disorders such as Tourette syndrome, whose causes are thought to be neurological, and, to a certain extent, genetically inherited.

He should not really be worried about anything at this point.

I noticed a significant change in his demeanor right after he and Plugs got their first top secret briefing. You could see the stress on his face and in his body language. You can't hide that stuff, no matter how much coaching you receive. At that point I think Obammy's "chickens came home to roost." I think it was after that briefing when he realized he'd bit off way, way more than he could chew. He's clearly way out of his league....

This is why you should be tested with a small executive responsibility followed by larger and larger ones...to simply see if you can handle it. His desire to go from the on ramp to the high speed lane in one fell swoop is going to put us all in peril.

He probably will have Bell’s Paulsy by March...if he doesn’t have it already.

I’m conflicted about this. If he does not lose his cool, he can destroy our country and its institutions by his choices and legislation! If he does lose his cool, it will weaken his ability to destroy our country but make us vulnerable to our enemies.

However, we are already vulnerable now that he’s our next POTUS.

We’re screwed no matter which way you look at it. :(

Yep. The "career politicians" are one of the main reasons we find ourselves in the mess we are in. I think most of the truly qualified business people want absolutely nothing to do with gubmint or the media anal probe that comes with public office.

It reminds me of the old adage about teachers: "Those that can, do. Those that can't, teach. Those that can't teach go into administration."

The same thing is true for the majority of our current crop of politicians. If they could make a living outside of gubmint, they would. Since they can't manage to eek out a living in the private sector, they seek to become gubmint bureaucrats for life...

Regarding “first emerging during the primary season”... My theory is that durng the primary season he experienced his first actual competition. He had never had competition before. If the MSM gives him his continuous free-ride during his Presidency, maybe he can make it.

He is a very weak man and should not be POTUS.

I particuarly think he will not last one term.

He has aged INCREDIBLY in just one short month, it is incredible. I think he is like the boy that ran after the tiger, and caught it. NOW WHAT!!??

He will not be able to handle the stress and what with these international incidents in my estimation. I look for him to resign in midstream due to health reasons, or otherwise forced out under constitutional provises.

And all the while, these idiots in the streets, 52% of the American people hopeless dumbed down, shouted "Change!" and "Yes we can!" What a joke. What a letdown. What a mistake.

Either way, such a news article like this is now most assuredly making the rounds in Farsi/Urdu/Arabic/Korean and Spanish.

And as a result, we are going to be dead meat as Iranians, al Qaeda terrorists, North Korea and their nukes, and Venezuela, etc. all feel emboldened and probably move against the US on multiple fronts come February and March.

My only trust and hope is in the career generals and admirals of our armed forces who will save our Republic if need be--I am sure they would and they have true leadership capability in a crisis.
