He’s basically Guru Maharaj-ji, all grown up......

I remember him well. He was a sensation on my college campus

The Beatles were also disappointed I seem to remember reading, when it became quickly clear that Maharishi M. Yogi was quite a bit of a dirty old man too, who couldn’t keep his eyes or hands off all the young girls around the
“camp”
.

Lots of gurus such as Satchinanda and Trungpa Rimpoche turned out to be abusive and or horn dogs. Da Free John had his run of the pretty women. One person wisely chalked it up to the Kali Yuga where even the gurus are f***** up.

You’re probaby really calm.

Do you have a hard time sitting down for 20-30 minutes and repeating a mantra in your mind?
Is that your point?
I would say really calm people should not do TM.
Chills them out too much

I meant that if you do it and “it works”, that must mean it has made you very calm and peaceful. A good thing.

No because I'm not doing it. I will be doing again in the future. I am an on and off practitioner
If I were doing it I would probably be calm
I am not a faithful practitioner but I did get initiated and get my mantra the real way where you forked over $20
I did not get mantra from internet but that is just as good

BTW for this couple in original article that got killed  .... I looked up the organization he was with.
With them you meditate while listening to a CD that is supposed to sync up your right and left brains
