There has always been a desire to maintain credibility and integrity on Free Republic. That is eroding with each new, Obama, birth certificate story. Many of those creating this ruckus claim are flying a false flag of Constitutionality when it is actually an effort to paint all Conservatives with the broad brush of conspiratorialism of the most dangerous kind. Thank you.

Obama’s CAIR Lawyer

A Hillary Clinton supporter and former Pennsylvania Deputy Attorney General named Philip Berg is suing Senator Barack Obama in a Philadelphia Federal Court. Berg’s suit, filed in August, wants Obama to produce his birth certificate claiming he does not meet the citizenship requirement to be President. Rather than just product the birth certificate in Court, Obama’s legal team September 27 filed a motion to dismiss. One of the lawyers filing the motion was Joe Sandler of the Washington law firm Sandler, Reiff, and Young.
Sandler is an interesting choice because he has worked for the Council of American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) in several attempts to intimidate organizations and silence speakers. CAIR is an organization with terrorist ties, and has been as an un-indicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas Funding trial now being re-heard in Dallas, Texas.
In 2007 Sandler sent a threatening letter to the Young Americas Foundation in an effort to intimidate YAF into retracting a speaking invitation to terrorism researcher Robert Spencer. Sandler followed up with a threatening letter to www.Townhall.com columnist Mike Adams for writing about the Spencer incident.

I lurked for two years or so before signing up to the FRee Republic, and I lurked some more before I cautiously posted a response to an existing thread. Then I did that for quite a while longer: it was at least a year before I posted my first thread. And even longer before I posted my first Vanity.
My first Vanity didn’t pretend to tell FReepers what to do or not to do, or talk about their Credibility.
IMO you should lurk a while longer, build some credibility.
