Crime in Chicago has been in the news lately, but it is nothing new. Historically it dates back over a hundred years. From the tale of the Gray Wolves

The 1890s Chicago City Council was notorious for corrupt political practices orchestrated by a faction of its aldermen known as the Gray Wolves. So named because they were viewed as preying upon the defenseless public, the Gray Wolves were led by First Ward aldermen “Bathhouse” John Coughlin and “Hinky Dink” Mike Kenna, and Johnny Powers of the Nineteenth Ward. These elected officials were not only skilled at trading votes for favors, but once in office they excelled in making municipal decisions to profit themselves financially.

TO the present, it is a compelling historical subject.

It seems the Olympic suicide flu is spreading through Chicago. Michael Scott another dirty political partner of Valerie Jarrett decides to blow his brains out.


We all know the Daley motto, dead men tell no tales and Scott won’t be talking. Of course we also know that suicide in Chi-town is like going for a swim w/lead sneakers in NJ. This is the second Daley inner circle pay-to-play thugs to die. The first was convicted dirtbag Kelly who accidently took an overdose of aspirin and rat poison the week he was heading for prison. Rumor was both of these were singing like canaries.

Where in Chicago could anybody find someone to make a murder look like SIEUicide? Michael Scott was a longtime partner of Jarrett who rose through the ranks of the Daley machine in the same Black Power slumlord circles. They both owned Real Estate companies just like Rezko that are used as a business to launder bribe $$. He was also on the same Chicago Boards where all the power and Pay to Play is funneled into the machine. He was also a force in the Obama circle of commie black leadership that ran their side of the Daley syndicate. He was so deep in the corruption that he was being investigated for his taking bribes and favors as Chairman of the Chicago Public School Board.

The real corruption he was being investigated was his connection w/Jarrett on the Olympic Committee where he was a member, that was going to develop properties near the village. This was in

Republicans on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, led by Rep. Darrell Issa, have issued a scalding report on ACORN and the SEIU. The main thesis — that ACORN and SEIU are, operationally, in effect the same organization, an organization that illegally channels restricted money into political activity — is argued persuasively.

The odds are vanishingly small that Eric Holder’s Justice Department, which could not be bothered to prosecute armed New Black Panther–party thugs brandishing weapons to scare off would-be voters, is going to do much about an organization at the heart of its boss’s political coalition and fundraising operation. Issa’s report may be the closest thing to an indictment ACORN ever sees — which makes its flaws all the more of a shame.

As for his primary argument, Issa pulls no punches, writing: “ACORN is a single corrupt corporate enterprise composed of a series of holding companies and subsidiaries that are financially and operationally dependent upon the main corporation. . . . ACORN and SEIU’s illegal agreements, and the crimes committed in furtherance of these agreements, constitute a criminal conspiracy.”

Among Issa’s findings: “ACORN has received $5,609,338 from SEIU. Anthony Hill, a state senator from Florida, was simultaneously employed by SEIU and ACORN. Newly reviewed documents show Senator Claire McCaskill (D., Mo.), former Governor Rod Blagojevich (D., Ill.) and Congressman Gerry Connolly (D., Va.) have received the support of SEIU’s ACORN affiliates. Insiders claim that, despite SEIU Treasurer Anna Burger’s statement to the contrary, SEIU has never cut ties to ACORN.” It has been widely noted that SEIU and ACORN often share mailing addresses, office space, and employees.

Was Skolnick correct? Skolnick does not document his claims so I checked into his allegations.

“Beyond the pale” would certainly describe where Rahm Emanuel’s family came from. His father’s family came to Palestine from somewhere in the Ukraine in 1917, according to what Dr. Benjamin M. Emanuel told me the other day. Dr. Emanuel now lives on the appropriately named Locust Road in Wilmette, Illinois.

Benjamin, speaking with a thick Israeli accent, told me that his father’s name was Ezekiel Auerbach and that his mother’s name was Pinina or something like that. He said it meant “pearl” in Hebrew. Asked about his role in the Irgun, Ben told me he had been a “simple soldier.”

Yes, Ben, but serving as “simple soldier” in a terrorist organization makes you a terrorist. And the fact that you served in a terrorist organization 60 years ago makes no difference. You know, same rules for Nazis and terrorists.

Think the Chicago Way political machine is all about corrupt Democrat politicians and their cronies? Think again. It’s bipartisan. While Democrats have run the Machine out of Chicago for decades, a supporting cast of Republicans has long participated in Machine enterprises.

Chicago Tribune reporter John Kass uses the term, “the Combine” to refer to the combination of Illinois Republicans working with Democrats to make hay for themselves regardless of who’s driving the tractor. As Republican power-broker Bill Cellini once said,

When we’re in [Republicans], we’re in. And when you’re in [Democrats], we’re in.

This month, the University of Illinois released a study entitled “Curing Corruption in Illinois: Anti-Corruption Report Number 3.” Here are some of its findings:

Since 1972 there have been three governors before Governor Blagojevich, state legislators, two congressmen, 19 Cook County judges, 30 aldermen, and other statewide officials convicted of corruption. Altogether there have been 1,000 public officials and businessmen convicted of public corruption since 1970…Corruption in Illinois seems endemic in both political parties. (p.3)

Here’s now corruption in both political parties, the Combine, works.

William F. Cellini, long-time GOP state power-broker seconded Gerald Ford’s nomination for President at the 1976 Republican National Convention. For four decades, regardless of which party ran the Illinois state government, Cellini did well, while attracting little attention.

That relative obscurity ended in October 2008 when Cellini was indicted by U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald’s office for conspiracy and extortion. The indictment, read here, describes how pay-to-play works in Illinois politics. Here’s an excerpt from Count 2 (of 4) in the indictment:

As part of the conspiracy, CELLINI, [Stuart] Levine, [“Tony”] Rezko, and Co-Conspirator A [identified by the Chicago Tribune as former Gov. Rod Blagojevich Chief of Staff Alonzo “Lon” Monk who is cooperating with the Feds] agreed that they would use their influence and Levine’s position [as a Trustee] at TRS [Teachers’ Retirement System of the State of Illinois with $30 billion in assets] to prevent [John] Rosenberg’s firm, Capri Capital, from receiving a planned $220 million allocation of TRS funds unless Rosenberg and Capri Capital agreed to raise or donate a substantial about of funds for the benefit of Public Official A [Blagojevich].

When Rosenberg threatened to expose the plan, CELLINI, Levine, Rezko, and Co-Conspirator A [Monk] acted together to prevent Rosenberg from telling law enforcement about the extortion plan. As a result of Rosenberg’s threat, CELLINI, Levine, Rezko, and Co-Conspirator A agreed that Capri Capital would receive the $220 million allocation, but that Capri Capital and Rosenberg would receive no further funds from the State of Illinois. (pp. 14-15)

Alonzo “Lon” Monk, ex-Chief of Staff to Blagojevich, signed a Plea Agreement in the case against Blago. One section discusses the “Pension Obligation Bond (POB) Deal:”

One of the ways in which Blagojevich, Rezko, [Christopher who committed suicide] Kelly, and Defendant [Monk] tried to obtain money for themselves from their control over the State of Illinois government related to the re-financing of $10 billion in Pension Obligation Bonds (“POB”) by the State of Illinois in 2003…

Defendant understood that the lead firm would make the most money from the POB sale. Initially, Defendant understood that Kelly and Rezko were pushing for Investment Firm A to be chosen either because Investment Firm A would make a contribution to Blagojevich or because Defendant, Blagojevich, Rezko, and Kelly would make money if Investment Firm A was chosen…[The $10 billion in bonds was subsequently issued by the State in one day.]

After the POB issuance, Rezko and Kelly told Defendant in additional conversations about the amount of money that Defendant, Blagojevich, Rezko, and Kelly would make from the POB deal. Defendant learned from those conversations that Individual A, who Defendant understood either had received or was going to receive money from Investment Firm A for acting as a consultant on the POB deal, was going to give Rezko $500,000 that would be held in a separate account.

Defendant understood that the $500,000 payment was for the help that Rezko had provided to Investment Firm A and Individual A relating to the POB deal, and that the money would later be split between Defendant, Blagojevich, Rezko, and Kelly.” (pp. 10-12)

The Chicago Tribune identified “Individual A” as Bob Kjellander (pronounced Shell-an-der), a high-profile Illinois Republican and former Treasurer of the Republican National Committee.

Kjellander’s friend, Cellini, goes on trial next November. Kjellander has not been indicted.

Obama would like to govern in the bipartisan Combine style of Illinois politics. The MSM, with their criticism of uncooperative Congressional Republicans, clearly shares Obama’s wish to spread the Combine nationwide.

That’s the day regulators announce which troubled banks they’ll close. Broadway Bank in Chicago, owned by Giannoulias’s family, must attract at least $75 million in capital by late April to meet terms of a consent order with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. prompted by losses on commercial real-estate loans. Even if successful, the family could lose control before November’s election, dealing a blow to Democrats and an Obama friend.

Some of the Broadway loans that have generated controversy involve Michael Giorango, a convicted bookmaker and prostitution-ring promoter. It has also made loans to convicted Illinois influence peddler Antoin “Tony” Rezko and a family accused of having connections to organized crime.

On February 23, 2008, Rogers, owner of Ariel Capital Management, and one of Obama’s chief fundraiser, became the first African-American winner of a Woodrow Wilson Award for his service to the Princeton alumni community, the Chicago community, the African American community and the financial community.

Rogers is co-chairman of Jesse Jackson’s annual Wall Street Project minority conference (AKA The Annual Shakedown), chairman of the Chicago Urban League, a member of four corporate boards and was a leading campaigner for Princeton basketball legend and United States Senator Bill Bradley’s 2000 United States presidential campaign.

Three of the boards he serves on are Fortune 500 companies: McDonald’s, Aon Corporation, and Exelon Corporation.

(Obama’s chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, helped create Exelon. when Emanuel was at the investment bank Wasserstein Perella (now Dresdner Kleinwort). In his 2-year career there Emanuel earned $16.2 million, according to congressional disclosures. His biggest deal was the Exelon merger. David Axelrod was Exelon’s PR man. Emanuel e-mailed Exelon’s John Rowe on the eve of the House vote on global warming legislation and asked that he reach out to some uncommitted Democrats. “We are proud to be the President’s utility,” says Elizabeth Moler, Exelon’s chief lobbyist. “It’s nice for John to be able to go to the White House and they know his name.”

Rogers is a trustee of the University of Chicago. He has served numerous civic, educational and arts organizations as a director or trustee, including the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition, the Oprah Winfrey Foundation and the Chicago Symphony.

At Princeton, he was a trustee of the University from 1990 to 1994 and more recently has served as a member of the Association of Black Princeton Alumni (ABPA) and the Princeton Varsity Club board of directors, as well as the Alumni Schools Committee. He has been an advocate for greater diversity in upper-level corporate positions.

In the early 1990s, Rogers served as a fundraising leader in Project Vote voter registration efforts led by President Barack Obama (aided by ACORN).

(There was criticism of the financial ties and close cooperation between President Obama’s campaign and ACORN and its sister organizations Citizens Services Inc. and Project Vote. The groups came under fire during the campaign after probes into possible voter fraud in a series of presidential battleground states, including Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, New Mexico and Nevada. ACORN and its affiliates are currently the target of at least 14 lawsuits related to voter fraud in the 2008 election and a Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act complaint filed by former ACORN members.)

Rogers was part of the inner circle of the Barack Obama presidential campaign. He is a long-time Obama associate who serves as the co-chair of Obama’s Illinois finance committee and who has been a major Democrat fundraiser.

He served along with Bill Daley, Pat Ryan, Penny Pritzker and Julianna Smoot on Barack Obama’s 2009 presidential inauguration committee.

Politics: Another bank failure is nothing new these days — except if the bank is run by the family of a U.S. Senate candidate who profited handsomely and lent millions to a convicted felon. But then, that’s the Chicago way.

‘I did not run for office to be helping out a bunch of fat-cat bankers on Wall Street,” President Obama said in a recent interview with “60 Minutes.” Speaking to those bankers, he said: “You guys are drawing down 10, 20 million dollar bonuses after America went through the worst economic year that it’s gone through in — in decades, and you guys caused the problem.”

Not all those fat cats, apparently, are on Wall Street. Some are on Main Street in the president’s hometown. One of those “guys” recently won the Democratic nomination for the U.S. Senate seat once held by Obama.

He’s an Obama protege and fundraiser. His name is Alexi Giannoulias, and his family runs the Broadway Bank in Chicago, a financially troubled institution that the feds appear ready to seize and shut down. He is running for U.S. Senate from Illinois.

Last Friday, Crain’s Chicago Business reported that the Giannoulias family stood to collect more than $10 million in federal tax refunds even if the bank does fail. “It’s quite likely the bank will fail,” the Chicago Tribune reported Giannoulias as saying last Wednesday, unless “they can raise the capital to keep the bank going,” an amount estimated at $85 million

One of the people Giannoulias cared about, apparently, was Michael “Jaws” Giorango, a Chicagoan with multiple convictions for bookmaking and promoting prostitution. As Ed Morrissey reported when he ran his Captain’s Quarters blog, Giannoulias approved some $11.8 million in loans to Giorango and associates after Giorango was convicted in 2004 for running a prostitution ring.

In answering questions about Broadway’s loans to Giorango during a 70-minute meeting with the Tribune editorial board, Giannoulias, the newspaper reported, “at first contended he was unaware of Giorango’s criminal history. That contradicted Giannoulias’ comments in 2006 to the Tribune, in which he acknowledged knowing Giorango had a criminal background.”

Boston Blackie’s owners arrested in check-kiting scheme (Illinois Senate Race)

A father and son who operated the Boston Blackie’s burger restaurants were charged Thursday with ripping off nearly $1.9 million from two banks in a check-cashing scheme, and authorities said they arrested the father on the U.S. border as he was trying to enter Canada.

The allegations caused a new round of political embarrassment for Democratic U.S. Senate candidate and state Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias, whose family owns Broadway Bank and has long known the father and son.

The Blackie’s operators are accused of writing bad checks from their accounts at Broadway to other banks as part of their alleged scheme. Longtime Blackie’s operator Nick Giannis gave Giannoulias more than $114,000 in campaign contributions for his treasurer and Senate campaigns.

Giannoulias was in a state of “shock and disbelief” at the news, according to his campaign, which announced he would donate an equivalent amount to local charities.

Giannis, 62, his son, Chris, 38, and restaurant manager Andy Bakopoulos, 38, were charged with defrauding Charter One and Washington Mutual banks. Chris Giannis also was charged with two counts of being an organizer of a continuing financial crimes enterprise. Nick Giannis was arrested by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers in Detroit while attempting to enter Canada after he failed to surrender to authorities and investigators sent out a nationwide alert.

Prosecutors said the men participated in a so-called check-kiting scheme in which they wrote checks from bank accounts that didn’t have enough money and deposited those checks at Charter One and Washington Mutual. They then withdrew money from their Charter One and Washington Mutual accounts before the checks actually cleared, or in some cases stopped payments on the checks.

Broadway Bank, owned by U.S. Senate nominee Alexi Giannoulias’ family, was defrauded in an alleged check-kiting scheme by the owners of a popular Chicago restaurant, Boston Blackies.

Nick Giannis and his son, Chris, are charged with stealing nearly $2 million.

Chris posted bond and was released Friday from Cook County Jail. His father Nick remains jailed in Detroit.

Alexi Giannoulias said Friday in a statement he was “shocked and appalled” at the arrests Thursday of principals in the Boston Blackies restaurant chain.

Thirty-eight year-old suspects Chris Giannis and Andy Bakopoulos were picked up in Chicago while Blackies founder 62-year-old Nick Giannis was detained in Detroit allegedly trying to leave the country.

Giannoulias reportedly has known the elder Giannis and son for decades. Not only has Nick Giannis donated $119,000 to Giannoulias’ campaigns for treasurer and the U.S. Senate, the Giannoulias family’s troubled Broadway Bank has made business loans to the Boston Blackies chain.

Justice, CIA clash over probe of interrogator IDs

The CIA and Justice Department are fighting over a secret investigation into a controversial program by legal supporters of Islamist terrorists held at Guantanamo Bay that involved photographing CIA interrogators and showing the pictures to prisoners, an effort CIA officials say threatens the officers’ lives.

The dispute prompted a meeting Tuesday at CIA headquarters between U.S. Attorney Patrick J. Fitzgerald and senior CIA counterintelligence officials. It is the latest battle between the agency and the department over detainees and interrogations of terrorists.

Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. angered many CIA officials and Republicans in Congress by reopening an investigation last August into whether CIA interrogators acted illegally in questioning senior al Qaeda detainees.

According to U.S. officials familiar with the issue, the current dispute involves Justice Department officials who support an effort led by the American Civil Liberties Union to provide legal aid to military lawyers for the Guantanamo inmates. CIA counterintelligence officials oppose the effort and say giving terrorists photographs of interrogators has exposed CIA personnel and their families to possible terrorist attacks.

As part of the disagreement, a senior Justice Department national security official removed himself from the counterintelligence probe last week after opposing CIA security worries.

Donald Vieira, a former Democratic counsel on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence who in September became chief of staff at the Justice Department’s National Security Division, recused himself from the counterintelligence investigation into the recent discovery of photographs of CIA interrogators in the possession of defense lawyers at the prison in Cuba.

The investigation has been under way for many months, but was given new urgency after the discovery last month of additional photographs of interrogators at Guantanamo showing CIA officers and contractors who have carried out interrogations of detainees, according to three officials familiar with the investigation. They spoke on the condition of anonymity.

Findings of the investigation to date produced some signs that the senior al Qaeda detainees at Guantanamo gained intelligence on CIA interrogators through their lawyers that could be used in future legal proceedings.

CIA counterintelligence officials have “serious concerns” that the information will leak out and lead to the terrorists targeting the officers and their families, if the identities are disseminated to terrorists or sympathizers still at large, said one official.

“They have put the lives of CIA officers and their families in danger,” said a senior U.S. official about the detainees’ lawyers.

The case is being pressed by the counterspies who only recently were able to alert senior agency, Justice Department and White House officials to their concerns.

Details on Mr. Vieira’s recusal could not be learned, but the Justice Department team recently added Mr. Fitzgerald, the U.S. attorney in Chicago who led the controversial 2005 investigation into the public disclosure of the identity of CIA undercover officer Valerie Plame.

The recusal is said to be related to Mr. Vieira’s past work on the House intelligence committee on detainee policy before 2009, one official said.

Mr. Vieira could not be reached for comment, and Justice Department spokeswoman Tracy Schmaler declined to comment.

A CIA spokesman also declined comment, as did Mr. Fitzgerald, through a spokesman.

According to the officials, the dispute centered on discussions for a interagency memorandum that was to be used in briefing President Obama and senior administration officials on the photographs found in Cuba.

Justice officials did not share the CIA’s security concerns about the risks posed to CIA interrogators and opposed language on the matter that was contained in the draft memorandum. The memo was being prepared for White House National Security Council aide John Brennan, who was to use it to brief the president.

The CIA insisted on keeping its language describing the case and wanted the memorandum sent forward in that form.

That resulted in the meeting and ultimately to Mr. Vieira withdrawing from the probe.

CIA Director Leon E. Panetta and his chief of staff, Jeremy Bash, a former chief counsel for the House intelligence committee, at first were unaware of both the scope and seriousness of the case.

However, both officials began addressing the matter after inquiries were made from members of Congress. Since then, Mr. Panetta and Mr. Bash are getting regular updates on the dispute, said the officials.

The legal underpinnings of the counterintelligence probe stem from the 1982 law that makes it illegal to disclose the identity of clandestine CIA and other intelligence officers. The law was passed after CIA defector Philip Agee in the 1970s disclosed the identity of Richard Welch, the CIA station chief in Greece, who was assassinated in 1975 after the disclosure.

The law was tested in the Plame case, amid press accusations that senior Bush administration deliberately leaked the name to embarrass her husband, Joseph C. Wilson IV. However, no one was prosecuted under the statute for the disclosure.

The Pentagon also is involved in the investigation in the photographs compromising CIA officers’ identities at Guantanamo because the military provided the lawyers currently representing some detainees. A Pentagon spokeswoman in charge of detainee affairs had no immediate comment and said she was unaware of the case.

The officials said the photographs of the CIA officers found recently at Guantanamo were obtained by a joint program of the ACLU and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers called the John Adams Project.

The project, according to a Washington Post report in August, hired contractors to photograph CIA officers who were thought to have carried out terrorist interrogations. Those photographs were then to be provided to defense lawyers representing some of the Guantanamo detainees as part of an effort to identify the interrogators, for possible use as witnesses in military or civilian trials.

Joshua Dratel, a lawyer representing the John Adams Project, declined to comment directly on whether his group hired investigators to photograph CIA officers and supply them to military defense lawyers.

However, Mr. Dratel said in an interview that “none of the John Adams Project lawyers have done anything inappropriate or contrary to the protective order or any other rules that apply” to the prisoners.

ACLU spokesman John Kennedy also declined to comment on whether the project obtained photographs of CIA officers. However, he said none of the John Adams Project lawyers disclosed the identities of CIA officers to detainees held at Guantanamo.

Details about the investigation into the photographs remain closely held, but one official said CIA counterintelligence and security officials were alarmed by the discovery at the prison.

“What it says is that somebody is going out and finding these agents, taking their pictures, and taking them back to Gitmo, trying to get these guys at Gitmo to confirm who they are and where they are from,” one U.S. intelligence official said. “CIA is afraid this information will become public and jeopardize the lives of the agents.”

A second source said the probe also has heightened an ongoing political dispute among CIA, Justice and White House officials over the issue of terrorism detainees.

After the Bush administration’s Justice Department closed its investigation into alleged wrongdoing by CIA interrogators, Mr. Obama’s Justice Department team reopened the case into whether they broke the law while questioning terrorism suspects captured in the early 2000s.

The Justice Department, under Mr. Holder, also favors conducting civilian trials for some terrorism suspects, rather than holding military tribunals. It also has sought to treat captured terrorists more like criminal defendants in legal cases, rather than as enemy combatants captured in wartime.

The smartest genius President evah is nothing more than a carboard cutout. A fraud. Doesn’t exist. We don’t even know how he did in school because to this day his transcripts are sealed. Turns out now that when he was an instructor at the Chicago, his colleagues who were actual Professors didn’t like him and didn’t want him. Obama’s position was obtained through political channels.

Is the President’s resume accurate when it comes to his career and qualifications? I can corroborate that Obama’s “teaching career” at Chicago was, to put it kindly, a sham.

I spent some time with the highest tenured faculty member at Chicago Law a few months back, and he did not have many nice things to say about “Barry.” Obama applied for a position as an adjunct and wasn’t even considered. A few weeks later the law school got a phone call from the Board of Trustees telling them to find him an office, put him on the payroll, and give him a class to teach. The Board told him he didn’t have to be a member of the faculty, but they needed to give him a temporary position. He was never a professor and was hardly an adjunct.

The other professors hated him because he was lazy, unqualified, never attended any of the faculty meetings, and it was clear that the position was nothing more than a political stepping stool. According to my professor friend, he had the lowest intellectual capacity in the building. He also doubted whether he was legitimately an editor on the Harvard Law Review, because if he was, he would be the first and only editor of an Ivy League law review to never be published while in school (publication is or was a requirement).

Consider this: 1. President Barack Obama, former editor of the Harvard Law Review, is no longer a “lawyer”. He surrendered his license back in 2008 possibly to escape charges that he “fibbed” on his bar application. ...

4. A senior lecturer is one thing. A fully ranked law professor is another. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, “Obama did NOT ‘hold the title’ of a University of Chicago law school professor”. Barack Obama was NOT a Constitutional Law professor at the University of Chicago.

5. The University of Chicago released a statement in March, 2008 saying Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) “served as a professor” in the law school, but that is a title Obama, who taught courses there part-time, never held, a spokesman for the school confirmed in 2008.

6. “He did not hold the title of professor of law,” said Marsha Ferziger Nagorsky, an Assistant Dean for Communications and Lecturer in Law at the University of Chicago School of Law.

7. The former Constitutional senior lecturer cited the U.S. Constitution recently during his State of the Union Address. Unfortunately, the quote he cited was from the Declaration of Independence, not the Constitution.

10. By the way, the promises are not a notion, our founders named them unalienable rights. The document is our Declaration of Independence and it reads: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal,that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

11. And this is the same guy who lectured the Supreme Court moments later in the same speech?

When you are a phony it’s hard to keep facts straight.

President Obama’s Occidental College transcripts have never been released. His Columbia transcripts are, likewise, AWOL. And his Harvard Law transcripts also haven’t been made public. Finally, it’s reported, he never published any articles while at Harvard, yet somehow served as Editor of Law Review. That would make him unique among editors, according to insiders.

Even John “D Student” Kerry was guilt-tripped into releasing his transcripts.

Curiously, since I relayed a report of Obama’s “teaching career” at Chicago (he was apparently never a law professor, as some have claimed), the Illinois Bar has decided to partially redact what little public information it had available on its website related to the President’s legal status.

Broadway Bank had already lent millions to Michael Giorango when he and a new business partner, Demitri Stavropoulos, came to the bank in mid-2004. Although both men were preparing to serve federal prison terms, the bank embarked on a series of loans to them.

Alexi Giannoulias took a senior position at the bank at about the same time and used it as a launching pad for his political career. But as he campaigns to step up from state treasurer to the U.S. Senate, he has tried to distance himself from the bank’s business with the pair and has been reluctant to detail his role.

Broadway is now suing to recover millions of the pair’s delinquent loans as the bank struggles to avoid a federal takeover.

Ever since Barack Obama ‘s election as president, there has been anticipation among scholars at the University of Chicago’s Law School that one of their own could be headed to the U.S. Supreme Court bench in the next few years.

That anticipation was heightened late last week with news that Obama , who taught constitutional law at the school from 1992 to 2004, soon will be making his first Supreme Court pick.

Almost every short list of possible nominees to succeed Justice David Souter includes three individuals with strong ties to the Hyde Park law school: U.S. Appeals Court Judge Diane Wood, Obama regulatory czar Cass Sunstein and U.S. Solicitor General Elena Kagan.

Even if Obama does not pick one of the past or present faculty members this year, feelings run strong on campus that he will before he leaves the White House.

“It’s more likely than not that at least one of these three will be nominated within his tenure,” said U. of C. law professor Geoffrey Stone , who was the law school’s dean when Obama was hired.

“There’s definitely extra buzz on campus,” said Douglas Baird, a law professor who recruited Obama to the faculty. “They will be naturally on the short list, but not because he is sentimental about the law school, but because they fit the ticket.”

Heading the list is U.S. Solicitor General Elena Kagan Kagan, the first woman to serve in that post — the federal government’s top Supreme Court advocate. She formerly served as the first female dean of Harvard Law School, where she graduated.

Also reportedly on the list: federal appellate judges Diane Wood and Merrick Garland.

Some astute researchers found the old newsletters from the Chicago Democratic Socialists of America (DSA). Guess who was in their Spring 1996 newsletter, making a soaring Marxist presentation at a Chicago Socialists rally?

According to Bruce Bentley from the DSA Update, “About 50 activists attended the Chicago New Party membership meeting in July. The purpose of the meeting was to update members on local activities and to hear appeals for NP support from four potential political candidates. The NP is being very active in organization building and politics. There are 300 members in Chicago. In order to build an organizational and financial base the NP is sponsoring house parties. Locally it has been successful both fiscally and in building a grassroots base. Nationwide it has resulted in 1000 people committed to monthly contributions. The NP’s political strategy is to support progressive candidates in elections only if they have a concrete chance to “win”. This has resulted in a winning ratio of 77 of 110 elections. Candidates must be approved via a NP political committee. Once approved, candidates must sign a contract with the NP. The contract mandates that they must have a visible and active relationship with the NP.

Blagojevich’s Wife Received Tens of Thousands From Antoin Rezko, Prosecutors Allege

By Peter Slevin CHICAGO — Illinois businessman and Democratic fundraiser Antoin Rezko was so anxious to help his friend, then-Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich (D), that he funneled tens of thousands of dollars in payments to Blagojevich’s wife, federal prosecutors contend in a document unsealed Wednesday.

Patti Blagojevich did no work for the payments, which were allegedly disguised as real estate commissions and other payments from one of Rezko’s Chicago companies. To make it appear that she had earned them, prosecutors allege, she showed up from time to time at Rezko’s offices - usually carrying her infant daughter and soon leaving.

“Rezko was willing to do whatever it took to get her money, whether it was from a monthly retainer or through hiring her to work on his development at Roosevelt and Clark,” the prosecutors wrote in a 91-page document. The document was made public by U.S. District Judge James B. Zagel, who is due to preside over Rod Blagojevich’s corruption trial starting June 3.

“Rezko did not seem to care if she actually did anything to earn the money,” prosecutors continued. “Rezko was only concerned about ensuring that Blagojevich did not have to worry about his finances.”

Patti Blagojevich is named as a “conspirator” in the document, but has not been charged with a crime. Prosecutors cited her alleged participation amid evidence that her husband worked with Rezko and other insiders in illegal money-making schemes that began soon after he took office in January 2003.

Rezko, currently in prison, is better-known nationally as a friend and fundraiser for Barack Obama during the first decade of Obama’s political career in Chicago. He did not contribute to Obama’s presidential campaign.

But a newly released, 91-page filing from federal prosecutors alleges that Rezko secretly funneled tens of thousands of dollars to the former first couple by setting up a sham $40,000 real estate commission for Patti Blagojevich. Prosecutors say the money was then used to pay for work on the Ravenswood Manor home.

The company overseeing the work on the home was a Rezko company, Chicago Construction Services.”

Whispers have long swirled that some children get spots in the city’s premier schools based on whom their parents know. But a list maintained over several years in Duncan’s office and obtained by the Tribune lends further evidence to those charges. Duncan is now secretary of education under President Barack Obama.

As we watch Obama govern, we don’t need to look far to find where he learned Chicago-style politics. One of his professors was Alderman Edward M. Burke, boss of the Chicago City Council.

Ed Burke

After Alderman Fred Roti was convicted on 2 RICO, 5 bribery and 4 extortion charges, the Outfit lost much of its leverage over city business. Over time, Burke stepped into the void and centralized legislative power in his own office.

As chair of the Finance Committee, Burke gained control over the purse strings, and the City of Chicago carries a big purse. The Chicago Sun-Times reported:

When city workers get hurt on the job, they usually turn to a handful of lawyers tied to City Hall. And the city often fights back by hiring lawyers with ties to Ald. Edward M. Burke, chairman of the City Council Finance Committee, which has sole authority to settle workers compensation claims against the city. Injured city workers most often turn to Frederic Krol Sr., who went to prison for five months in the 1960s for bribing a federal prosecutor and temporarily surrendered his law license. The city has paid more than $65 million to settle 3,750 workers comp cases Krol has filed since 1980, records show.

Burke had familial influence over the restructuring of Chicago’s judicial system in the wake of Operation Gambat. Here’s how.

Anton Valukas was U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois when Robert Cooley wore a wire in Operation Gambat. After serving as U.S. Attorney from 1985-1989, Valukas returned to practice law at Jenner and Block. In the wake of the Operation Gambat trials, a special commission was tasked to study how judicial practices in Illinois could be reformed. Illinois Issues reported:

Appointed to chair the study, due December 31, 1993, was Jerold S. Solovy, senior partner in Chicago’s Jenner & Block law firm. Solovy headed a similar commission that studied Cook County courts from 1984 to 1988 in the aftermath of the federal Operation Greylord of the early 1980s…The new Solovy commission has the authority of the state’s highest court behind it and will take in the entire state judicial system.

One of the attorneys appointed to the Solovy commission was Alderman Burke’s wife, Anne.

Ed Burke is now in charge of slating the Democrat Party judges for elections in Cook County.

Burke also has familial influence in the remapping of ward boundaries. On February 17, 1997, in an article entitled “Role In Two Suits Raises Ethics Issues,” Chicago Sun-Times reporters Adrienne Drell and Charles Nicodemus pointed out Burke’s ties to the law firm of Jenner & Block.

Ald. Edward M. Burke (14th), whose decisions on hiring lawyers in the City Council ward remap case have funneled $7.5 million in city fees to the prominent Jenner and Block law firm, holds co-counsel status with that firm in two recent lawsuits, court records show. Burke’s links with the firm do not appear to violate any laws or regulations…

Managing partner Jerold Solovy – who is the lead attorney in the remap case – was treasurer of the unopposed 1996 campaign for Illinois Appellate Court justice of Anne Burke, the alderman’s wife. And prominent [Jenner and Block] partner John Simon served as her campaign chairman. The firm provided $14,414.15 in services and money to the campaign.

The firm hired Burke’s daughter Jennifer A. Burke in June, 1995, shortly after she graduated 173rd in a class of 385 from Chicago Kent College of Law. In making new hires, the firm usually draws top students from the nation’s leading law schools. Two weeks ago, Burke, whose name has been linked to the federal investigation of ghost payrolling at City Hall, hired Jenner and Block partner and former U.S. Attorney Anton Valukas to represent him in that inquiry.

So, the man who chaired the commission to reform the judicial system in Chicago over which Burke gained control was the treasurer of Anne Burke’s successful campaign to be elected a judge. And, he also received $7,500,000 in fees from the City Finance Committee that Burke chaired. Plus, the former U.S. Attorney during whose tenure allegations against Burke surfaced was Burke’s attorney during a ghost payrolling investigation.

The quote above mentions “the federal investigation of ghost payrolling at City Hall.” Here’s how ghost payrolling works.

Document No. 101317 of the Illinois Supreme Court of the State of Illinois, dated May 18, 2006, told the story of Burke’s ghost employee, Joseph Anthony Martinez-Fraticelli. He was a newly minted attorney hired by Burke to a succession of city jobs for which he performed no work at all. That eventually led to him losing his license to practice law. Burke, who hired him, was never held accountable. Martinez cleaned up his act, paid restitution, and was reinstated to the bar by the Illinois Supreme Court.

Before Anne Burke became an Illinois Supreme, both Ed and Anne attracted attention in the murder case against Herbert Cammon. On January 22, 2008, Karyn Mehringer, co-founder of Illinois Family Court Accountability Advocates, requested that the Illinois Supreme Court investigate Alderman Burke and his wife, now Illinois Supreme Court Justice Anne Burke, concerning the Cammon murder case. Mehringer wrote:

Herbert Cammon’s case was a murder case in which it was alleged that Herbert Cammon, a gay black man, murdered his wife with the help of his gay lover by stabbing her over 40 times and leaving the knife sticking out of her mouth. It was alleged that he murdered his wife to obtain the proceeds of a $250,000 life insurance policy. The case was originally assigned to Judge Arthur Cieslik. [Judge Cieslik lived in the 14th ward.] After a mistrial because of a hung jury, Ed Burke approached Judge Cieslik and told him to withdraw from the case. When the judge refused to withdraw from the case, he told the judge, “What’s the big deal. It’s only a f***ing n***er.”

… Anne Burke also requested that the judge withdraw from the case saying, “My husband was the one who put you on the bench.” When the judge finally withdrew from the case due to media pressure initiated by the attorneys, the case was assigned to Judge Tom Maloney. Judge Maloney dismissed the case in a bench trial. Cooley revealed that he was wearing a wire when the aforementioned events took place such that the FBI was fully informed. Cooley revealed that he was in communication with Judge Cieslik and he tried to encourage the judge to not let the case go. He also reported to the feds that the case would be assigned to Judge Maloney who would fix the case.

Judge Tom Maloney, mentioned above, is the only judge in U.S. history convicted of fixing a murder trial. He received a 15-years prison sentence. There’s no indication that the Illinois Supreme Court ever investigated Justice Anne Burke in response to Mehringer’s complaint.

Anne Burke was selected to be an Illinois Supreme Court Justice after Cooley made allegations against her and her husband in his book When Corruption Was King. No Chicago Tribune or Chicago Sun-Times editorials questioned Anne Burke’s ethics or the wisdom of having the wife of the powerful Chicago City Council member on the Illinois Supreme Court…especially an attorney who once represented two members of the Chicago mob.

Just last week, on April 9, when this story appeared in the Chicago Sun Times, its connection with Anne Burke was noticed by Newsalert, a local Chicago blog.

Three reputed mob burglars, two of whom were convicted of stealing the 45-carat Marlborough Diamond, were arrested on a Bridgeport street this week— allegedly as they were on the verge of robbing the home of the late, feared mob boss, Angelo “The Hook” LaPietra, federal prosecutors said today. Charged in the case were Jerry “The Monk” Scalise, 73, of Clarendon Hills; Art Rachel, 71, of Chicago — both convicted of the Marlborough Diamond theft — and Robert Pullia, 69, of Plainfield.

Scalise and Rachel are associates of the Outfit. The “Marlborough Diamond” theft was covered by the Sun Times back on April 26, 1987:

Two Chicago jewel thieves are being held for ransom in British prisons, according to their Windy City lawyer. The ransom demand: location of a $1 million gem and information on the crime syndicate. Attorney Anne Burke said that’s the real reason the Brits are holding onto her clients, Joseph “Jerry” Scalise and Arthur “The Genius” Rachel. Burke said Scotland Yard detectives recently have been visiting Scalise in his prison on the Isle of Wight in an apparent effort to learn the whereabouts of the Marlborough diamond.

In addition to being a convicted thief, Scalise is a reputed hit man for the Outfit.

The grisly nature of the chop shop business in the late 1970s was underscored by 14 unsolved murders of individuals linked to this most lucrative enterprise. Several of these killings were linked to Dauber who was to eventually find himself outside the mob’s good graces, and especially with “Butch” Petrocelli and Jerry Scalise, a thief with a proclivity for jewelry. Scalise who had traveled to merry old England and snatched the famed Marlborough Diamond several years earlier from a British arcade…

Legal documents from 1989 show that attorney Anne Burke represented Scalise and Rachel in their effort to be extradited from England to serve their sentence for the jewel theft in a U.S. prison. So, in that case, she was a mob lawyer. Here she is later swearing in the Pat Quinn as Governor of the State of Illinois.

A. Burke & Gov. Quinn

Alderman Burke’s power is such that he can ignore the rules in the City Council. For example, Barack Obama’s friend, neighbor and financial supporter, “Tony” Rezko, knew to go to Burke for results. In October 2007 the Chicago Sun-Times asked,

Why did Ald. Edward M. Burke vote to approve Tony Rezko’s plans to develop the South Loop’s biggest piece of vacant land even as he [through his law firm] was working for Rezko on that same deal?

Burke says: I forgot to abstain.

The much-conflicted alderman says he meant to sit out the vote. He’d even sent a letter to the Chicago Board of Ethics in August 2003 saying he would abstain from any Council votes on Rezko’s plan to put as many as 5,000 homes and stores on a 62-acre site along the Chicago River at Roosevelt Road.

But then Rezko’s project came before the City Council on March 31, 2004, and Burke cast his vote — in favor. “An error occurred,” the alderman said in a written response to questions, “and Rule 14 was not invoked.” That would be the Council rule under which aldermen are supposed to abstain from a vote when they have a conflict of interest. Of course, it’s up to the alderman who has a conflict to invoke the rule.

Burke’s legal work for Rezko’s Rezmar Corp. is referenced in records on the 62-acre site Rezko wanted to develop with $140 million in city subsidies. The project fizzled, and Rezmar sold the land.

So let’s see if we have this straight: Burke forgot to invoke a rule against himself based on a clear conflict of interest between his role as a voting alderman on a project while also providing legal services to a bidder. The project involved $140,000,000 in city money.

Accusations against Alderman Edward M. Burke are not new. Several appeared in Robert Cooley’s book When Corruption Was King. Former FBI Agent John O’Rourke said this about the veracity of Robert Cooley’s testimony.

…Mr. Cooley has previously provided information that has been independently verified and found to be reliable by the FBI.

Here’s the question: Why hasn’t The Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission of the Supreme Court of Illinois (ARDC) opened an investigation concerning Cooley’s allegations against Alderman Burke? And why hasn’t the Chicago media demanded it? Cooley says,

I sent a letter that offered to provide the necessary information, but never got a response.

This is politics Chicago-style, where President Obama learned how big government works, with Alderman Ed Burke as one of Barack’s tenured teachers.

Wake up to the West Texas Organizing Strategy (WTOS)
Businesses, institutions and politicians need to learn the difference between communities of interest and radical political groups masquerading as such.

As was discussed on Pratt on Texas back in 2007, the West Texas Organizing Strategy is an official arm of the radical Chicago-based Industrial Areas Foundation. You’ll find them listed on the IAF’s website among a few dozen other hives of Saul Alinsky socialist groups around the nation. That Lubbock has one should be a concern to Liberty lovers.

From the IAF website: “The current generation of IAF organizations began in the mid-1970’s and was the product of the insight and effort of the person who succeeded Saul Alinsky as executive director of the IAF...”

Quoting again: “The leaders and organizers of the Industrial Areas Foundation build organizations [such as the WTOS] whose primary purpose is power… and whose chief product is social change.”

This is where Obama’s change rhetoric is rooted. It’s not about fixing problems but, about remaking the United States into a government controlled economy. Individual liberty and opportunity are opposed by this group, in that they preach that a poor person cannot escape poverty on his own initiative. That’s a philosophy which runs counter to the entire experience and success of the American people and is a justification for government control.

The WTOS is rooted in America’s most successful group of radical social revolutionaries. Texas politicians and institutions should stop treating them as an innocent community interest group – they are Obama’s very radical, completely political, community agitators of the worst type.

Today in United States v. Rod Blagojevich: following up on his 2008 claims that then-Senator Barack Obama was one of a few people who could testify to his innocence, his defense team issued a motion today to subpoena the President to testify in court. Most of the juiciest bits involving Obama’s role in choosing a new Senator are blacked out, or so we thought. It turns a lucky PDF glitch gave us VIP access. Who wouldn’t want to see the blacked out part? Let’s investigate!

Most of the non-blacked out portions of the motion are predictably tame general knowledge: the seat in dispute belonged to the President; the FBI did speak with the President about this case at some point in time. A “labor union official” close to the President (who may be SEIU President Andy Stern) is said to contradict public statements on the case by Obama directly. The credibility of money man Tony Rezko being crucial to the case, the defense would like the President to testify about it. The defense also spends significant amount of time bringing up previous cases of sitting presidents being subpoenaed to testify in relevant cases. What the defense didn’t want you to see is the allegation that an Obama “supporter” offered Blagojevich “fundraising” in exchange for the seat. In other words: Blagojevich didn’t try to sell the seat; an Obama “supporter” tried to buy it.

Former governor Rod Blagojevich’s defense team asked Thursday to issue a trial subpoena to the President of the United States of America.

The motion, intended to be heavily redacted, was improperly edited — the full document was easily viewable if the text is copied and pasted to another document.

Blagojevich’s lawyers allege that Rezko admitted breaking the law by contributing “a large sum of cash” to a public official. Blagojevich’s attorneys say that public official is Obama. Obama said that Rezko never relayed a request from a lobbyist to hold a fundraiser in favor of favorable legislative action. But the point may be moot: regardless of Obama talking/not talking to Rezko, Blagojevich’s attorneys say that Obama refused the request regardless.

Redacted portion: However, the defense has a good faith belief that Mr. Rezko, President Obama’s former friend, fund-raiser, and neighbor told the FBI and the United States Attorneys a different story about President Obama. In a recent in camera proceeding, the
government tendered a three paragraph letter indicating that Rezko “has stated in interviews with the government that he engaged in election law violations by personally contributing a large sum of cash to the campaign of a public official who is not Rod Blagojevich. &hellip Further, the public official denies being aware of cash contributions to his campaign by Rezko or others and denies having
conversations with Rezko related to cash contributions. &hellip Rezko has also stated in interviews with the government that he believed he transmitted a quid pro quo offer from a lobbyist to the public official, whereby the lobbyist would hold a fundraiser for the official in exchange for favorable official action, but that the public official rejected the offer. The public official denies any such conversation. In addition, Rezko has stated to the government that he and the public official had certain conversations about gaming legislation and
administration, which the public official denies having had.

2. Obama may have overtly recommended Valerie Jarret for his Senate seat
Blagojevich’s defense team basically alleges that Obama told a certain labor union official that he (Obama) would support Valerie Jarrett’s candidacy for the Senate seat. Jarrett, referred to as “Senate Candidate B”, is now a senior advisor to the president.

Redacted portion: Yet, despite President Obama stating that no representatives of his had any part of any deals, labor union president told the FBI and the United States Attorneys that he spoke to labor union official on November 3, 2008 who received a phone message from Obama that evening. After labor union official listened to the message labor union official told labor union president “I’m the one”. Labor union president took that to mean that labor union official was to be the one to deliver the message on behalf of Obama that Senate Candidate B was his pick. (Labor union president 302, February 2, 2009, p. 7).

Labor union official told the FBI and the United States Attorneys “Obama expressed his belief that [Senate Candidate B] would be a good Senator for the people of Illinois and would be a candidate who could win re-election. [Labor union official] advised Obama that [labor union official] would reach out to Governor Blagojevich and advocate for [Senate Candidate B].. . . [Labor union official] called [labor union president] and told [labor union president] that Obama was aware that [labor union official] would be reaching out to Blagojevich.” (Labor union official 302, February 3, 2009 p. 3).

3. A supporter of President Obama may have offered quid pro quo on a Jarrett senate appointment
Redacted portion: Supporter of Presidential Candidate Obama is mentioned in a phone call on November 3, 2008, having offered “fundraising” in exchange for Senate Candidate B for senator (Blagojevich Home Phone Call # 149).

4. Obama maintained a list of good Senate candidates
Redacted portion: President-elect Obama also suggested Senate Candidate A to Governor Blagojevich. John Harris told the FBI and the United States Attorneys that he spoke to President’s Chief of Staff on November 12, 2008. Harris took notes of the conversation and wrote that President’s Chief had previously worked as Blagojevich’s press secretary. Obama agreed of Staff told Harris that Senate Candidate A was acceptable to Obama as a senate pick. I’d vote for that.....Hope FItz is watching his back. IIRC WHen Berg first filed his case he consulted with the FBI and others and was told they had more than he did, but were waiting to present in a Court of Law.......and we wait and get worse everyday.

The judge presiding over former Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s corruption trial called an emergency meeting Thursday evening after information that was intended to remain under seal was released to the public in a defense filing to subpoena President Barack Obama.

Judge James B. Zagel scheduled a 6 p.m. hearing in his chambers to question attorneys about why the redacted information was readable, according to reports.

But Blagojevich’s attorneys denied that interpretation. When asked whether the meeting concerned the redacted documents, attorney Sheldon Sorosky responded simply “no.”

The defense motion, filed Thursday afternoon, request to call President Obama as a corroborating witness and argued that Obama could verify that Blagojevich didn’t try to sell his seat.

The filing contained several paragraphs that had been blacked out electronically. However, the underlying text was easily viewable in the electronic cersion of the document if a reader simply copied-and-pasted the paragraphs into another program.

The failure to properly redact is a relatively common one in government circles.

The failure of Chicago-based Broadway, which was unable to raise the $85 million it needed to remain independent, was anticipated, and its worsening health has weighed on Giannoulias’ Democratic bid for President Barack Obama’s old Senate seat. The bank had been struggling in recent years with real estate loans gone bad, losing $75 million last year.

Giannoulias worked for his father at Broadway before entering politics, and during his successful run for state treasurer in 2006 he used his banking experience as one of his chief qualifications. But in the Senate race, he has tried to distance himself from the bank’s troubles.

Tucked away on the 10th floor of South Beretania apartments in Honolulu, Hawaii is quite a woman, the one engineered profile online suggests for Madelyn Lee Payne Dunham, the grandmother who raised Barack Hussein Obama when he was abandoned by his mother, but for the wonder woman profile which was created online, the one question jumps out that no one has noticed:

If Madelyn Dunham was thee woman as her profile states who paved the way for all women in banking, thee woman who raised Barack Obama, then why is Barack Obama running away from this woman, why is she hiding in an apartment in Hawaii, when her presence would have gotten her the entire Hillary Clinton feminist vote as we are told in her profile that Grandma Dunham was better than the invention of the wheel for women?

I have stumbled across the answer in this as it is so old that even the internet servers are being scrubbed of the stories which lead to Madelyn Dunham.

The first red light which went off for Grandma Dunham was when I was attempting a profile search which all living people have. “Someone” has scrubbed Madelyn Dunham’s profile in spots and is listing her as 40 years younger. Mr. Obama’s sister, Mya, is listed as a relative, but not one Barack Obama is listed.

As an example if one uses as a control, Henry Kissinger, who is oft times blamed for all things globalist and who should be one person who could have his profile information scrubbed, one can find Dr. Kissinger listed with family and associates.

So if Doc Kissinger is in the system, why is Madelyn Dunham, the paver of banking ways for women and raiser of messiah not listed?

I believe the key starts out with Mrs. Dunham’s choice of employment at Bankho, or the Bank of Hawaii starting in 1960 where she was elevated after 10 years in 1970 as Vice President. That is quite a meteoric rise from bank teller to executive in that short of period of time. Mrs. Dunham’s expertise was in Escrow Accounts which are used as 3rd party money transfer accounts between two people who basically do not trust each other and still need a deal to be done.

It was during this period that the Democratic machine in Hawaii was killing bank examiner bills, because at the same time the two largest banks in Hawaii were making a huge push into the Pacific Rim from 1963 to 1970. You thought opening doors to China began with Kissinger and Nixon? Nope someone was paving that way a decade before and 30 years before Bush 41 set upon what is termed his policy to modernize China.

Bank of Hawaii is listed as the largest bank in Hawaii of that period and expanded into the Pacific Rim buying up assets during the Vietnam War.

It is into this which Madelyn Dunham was being promoted as an expert in money transfers for her entire career and this is why she is being hidden away and planted stories are abounding about old Gram banking leader and Stanley Ann, anthropologist, and no one is mentioning what these two women were setting up in an international Marxist or globalist scheme which has yet to come to fruition, until their Barack hits the stage.

On March 31, 1980, Jimmy Carter enacted the Depository Instituions Deregulation and Monetary Control Act of 1980 which would phase out all savings rate ceilings on consumer accounts and deregulated the banking industry. People have heard nonstop it was Reagan or Bush who started all of this deregulation when the fact is comrade Carter initiated what was to become the biggest economic rape of the world. Rush Limbaugh has invested a great deal of time noting Jimmy Carter and his housing act started this housing mess, but it was the banking rape which Carter set into place which America is being rocked by now.

I ask people to keep with this for the punchline as the situation is laid out, because you will not believe what the Obama women were setting up for the globalists.

Mrs. Dunham would retire in 1986 from the escrow fund of Bankoh. Her daughter who was an anthropoligist would then go into, banking. Huh? You might question. Yes she went into banking in Indonesia setting up microfinance for poor women there.

What on earth is microfinance?

Ever heard of a progressive changing their name to a liberal? That is exactly what microfinance is. Microfinance is in the late 1980’s, a savings and loan for destitute 3rd world types. If people remember history in BCCI and other savings and loans raping American small investors in the Bank of Coccaine and Crime International, then you know what Stanley Ann Dunham has now set up as the largest loan system to a billion people in Indonesia. Microfinance is the term no one has yet figured out which is the next derivative as the globalist cartels have set this monster up in every impoverished nation in the world.

Getting ahead of the story, the Rothschilds are currently in India providing microfinance for poor Indian farmers with the money being crop seed which fails and they can not repay. The end result is the Rothschild cartel owning Indian farmland while Indian farmers commit suicide. The cartel though is enjoying record exports of tainted grain grown on poisonous ground being sold around the world, including to Americans.

So Gram Dunham leaves the bank running the new world escrow service forming and Stanley Ann is setting up savings and loans in the 3rd world as she happens to find her way to New York too running the World Women’s Banking created the United Nations in 29 poverty nations around the world.

Follow this now please, World Women’s Banking was brainchild of Stichting INGKA Foundation of the Netherlands. INGKA owns an international furniture outlet chain, but holds it’s assets in a $36 billion dollar account making it the richest on earth. For a modern tax rape in the United States, this is exactly what Bill Gates and Warren Buffet are doing as they keep their assests out of tax coffers while preying on consumers. I ask you to remember that Buffet has billion dollar foundations for each child and raped over 31 billion dollars out of the markets which people lost in the last months.

This is what the Dunham women were setting up for the 3rd world and is about to be sprung.

Now we come to Bank of Hawaii dumping huge amounts of money into Asian markets in a money transfer in the 1990’s. Of course that money loaned did not stay in Asia in the least, it instead was part of the Bill Clinton Indonesian, yes Indonesia again, Riaydi and Lippo Group money funneling campaign funds into the Clinton reelection bid with Al Gore. What people missed in this was the money from the Chinese was not just about bribes to the Clintons. The Indonesians, Chinese and Clinton globalists were after the real prize of the New York Stock Exchange offering up the communist Chinese Xiamen International Bank to both the Hang Seng and New York.

It would be Hawaii’s Democratic machine which would use billions of dollars in Kamaehameha School funds with Bishop Estate to underwrite the public offering of Xiamen.

This should be sounding familiar in the same corruption engulfing Illinois in funds being embezzled there and Barack Obama and Joe Biden’s names popping up in funds allotted to them. Do you remember what William Ayers was after in his Chicago school initiatives was federal funds and Tony Rezko was playing with Chicago real estate making slums for blacks.

Are you seeing a Marxist pattern here in moving money around in public funds, real estate, poor people in housing and massive market collapse?

So the money went out of Hawaii while the Chinagate money came into the mainland. Soon enough the Asians who dumped their excess in the American markets had their economies tanked. Hawaiian investors lost record sums, but that means the cartels gained billions.

Bush 41 would send in the FBI to Hawaii for all this Democratic coruption, but being replaced by Bill Clinton, it would be Webster Hubbell number 3 at Justice under Janet Reno would shut down the investigation. Suppose they have on average 1000 dollar loans which would talley 2 trillion dollars, plus the sewing machines, materials, grains etc... all these poor people were sold like the Indian farmers. That would make a 4 trillion dollar profit already from Stanley Ann Dunham’s microfinance “helping the poor”. Now crash that debt system just like the Obama backers crashed the United States derivative markets to assist him. E-mails and other records of Dr. Eric Whitaker — one of President Obama’s best friends — have been subpoenaed by a federal grand jury, the Chicago Sun-Times has learned.

The investigation involves “faith-based initiatives” and health-awareness campaigns funded by the Illinois Department of Public Health when Whitaker ran the agency for former Gov. Rod Blagojevich, according to copies of subpoenas obtained under the state’s Freedom of Information Act.

Obama has said he recommended Whitaker for that job, which Whitaker landed in April 2003. The president’s friend resigned in October 2007 to join Obama’s wife, Michelle, as an executive at the University of Chicago Medical Center.

The Star Players in the ShoreBank Story

The Shorebank story is quite complicated and filled with literally hundreds – if not thousands — of individuals who have been in some way involved in the unfolding of an intriguing saga.

It has been difficult to narrow down the field of characters in order to focus on just a few. Some of the names are familiar, and some are relatively unknown (except, perhaps, within the context of their own circles of influence).

The original founders of Shorebank probably didn’t dream that this bank would have the worldwide influence that it now has. They were all very active in their communities and had a desire to see the South Shore neighborhood re-built to its former state of safety and community life. The neighborhood had suffered economically and was becoming run-down and plagued by crime.

Their hope was to re-invest and re-enliven this neighborhood of Chicago. They made loans towards the renovation of many of the buildings which were deteriorating and in disrepair. They also invested in new building projects to benefit the residents of South Shore.

For 30-plus years Shorebank has seen its founders’ dreams realized; and beyond those dreams, Shorebank has become the catalyst for international financing — especially that directed toward low-income people in many countries of the world. The Community Reinvestment Act, passed into law in 1977 during President Jimmy Carter’s term of office, encouraged financial institutions to make loans to low-income borrowers.

Ron Grzywinski (one of the original founders of Shorebank) was the only banker to testify before Congress in support of the Community Reinvestment Act.

Its passage was instrumental in paving the way for Shorebank’s success.

The bank steadily grew financially and facilitated the renewal of poverty stricken areas through the rest of the 1970’s and early 80’s, catching the attention of then-Governor Bill and Hillary Clinton of Arkansas (in fact, according to the IFA, Bill is still advocating on behalf of ShoreBank).

Because Shorebank was lending to run-down neighborhoods, the Clintons, along with Shorebank, decided to establish the Southern Development Bancorporation in Arkadelphia, Arkansas in 1988.

They hoped that the poor in Arkansas would be helped by the loans they could obtain. Hillary’s former roommate at Wellesley College, Jan Piercy, joined Shorebank in 1984.

In this video, Hillary Clinton speaks (in September 2008) about Shorebank. The “Ron” she refers to is Ron Grzywinski, one of the founders of Shorebank (founded in 1973).

As one of the founders of Shorebank, Mary Houghton has been one of the motivating forces for the promotion of lending to lower income clients for the purpose of social change. She also has been very involved in community activism and has served on many organizations. As a recognition of their hard work, both she and Ron Grzywinski have received numerous awards.

Jan Piercy

Jan Piercy was Hillary Clinton’s former college roommate.

“He has been active for over twenty-five years in community and civic organizations, including service as President or Vice-President of the Boards of City Colleges of Chicago, Crossroads Fund, Businesspeople in the Public Interest, the Center for Neighborhood Technology and PROCAN, as well as on the Visiting Committee of the University of Chicago Law School, and the Advisory Committees for the (Chicago) Mayor’s Technology Advisory Committee, Brookings Metropolitan Economy Project and Brookings Urban Markets Initiative.” (emphasis added)

The organization Businesspeople in the Public Interest (BPI) received $375,000 in grants from the Chicago Annenberg Challenge during the time that Barack Obama was Chairman.

Weissbourd was a great supporter of Barack Obama during his campaign for US Senate in 2003-2004. He also was a part of the Obama-Biden transition team.

Adele Simmons

Adele Simmons is currently Director at Shorebank.

Howard Stanback

Howard Stanback is presently on the Board of Directors for the Shorebank Neighborhood Institute. He has also previously served as President of the Hyde Park Community Association and is a former Board Chairman of the Woods Fund.

His wife Michelle Obama grew up in the South Shores neighborhood of Chicago where Shorebank first began.

He served on the Woods Fund board along with Board Chairman Howard Stanback, who is currently head of Shorebank’s Neighborhood Institute.

He also was chairman of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC) during the time that Business People for the Public Interest (BPI) was approved for $375,000 in grants. Ron Weissbourd, former Exec VP for Shorebank was serving on the board of directors for BPI during the same time period.

During the 2008 Presidential campaign, while still a Senator from Illinois, Barack Obama visited Kenya, the former home of his biological father.

He promoted the application of microfinancing (an activity for which ShoreBank has been a major promoter) as a way to fight poverty world-wide.

Chicago’s Shorebank donated $1 million to Kenya and also assisted in setting up financial institutions in Kenya and many other locations throughout the world.

Although the connections between ShoreBank and George Soros are indirect ones, Mr. Soros has been very involved in promoting microfinancing as a viable avenue for bringing about social/economic change.

In an April 2004 article in Investment News, George Soros is quoted regarding microfinance:

“I believe there is a market of socially conscious investors, be it foundations or individuals, who would invest in microfinance if they knew where to go,” he said. “Right now, microfinance is tiny compared with the market that needs to be served. The real challenge is to figure out how to bring [microfinance] to the macro level. Just lending money alone won’t lead to a scaling up.”

Shorebank has recently experienced major financial losses prompting federal regulators to issue a “cease and desist” order. Until the situation is resolved (by raising more equity), the order will remain in effect.

Mr. Grzywinski, 73, and Ms. Houghton, 68 … are passing leadership of the holding company to George Surgeon, the ShoreBank veteran who was named CEO of the bank in early November….

In Friday’s letter to employees, Mr. Grzywinski wrote that he and Ms. Houghton next year “will continue to focus on raising capital and providing oversight of ShoreBank Pacific, the international companies and all the non-profit affiliates so that all of George [Surgeon]’s attention can remain focused on the Midwest bank.”

It appears as though the ship may be sinking and people are running for their lives.

ShoreBank seeks financial rescue from state of Illinois

Prodded by the likes of U.S. Sen. Richard Durbin and U.S. Rep. Jan Schakowsky, Illinois Finance Authority officials met earlier this month with ShoreBank executives to discuss raising tens of millions for the bank through an IFA bond offering.

Banking experts say they’re not aware of any previous bank bailout by Illinois or any other state. (emphasis added)

Federal bank regulators usually handle such bailouts. And banks the size of ShoreBank, with assets of $2.5 billion, don’t ordinarily attract attention at the upper levels of government.

But ShoreBank has been lauded by presidents for making loans in economically disadvantaged areas many lenders avoid.

And its political ties run all the way to the White House, where President Barack Obama and the first lady are former neighbors of ShoreBank executives.

Mr. Brandt says the IFA, an economic development arm of state government, won’t consider similar assistance for Illinois’ numerous other small banks beset by the same real estate loan troubles.

“We’re not in the business of saving banks,” he says.

Still, a ShoreBank rescue would almost certainly trigger requests for help from other struggling local banks, some of which also serve low- to moderate-income communities. Rejecting such requests could trigger political repercussions from officeholders intent on saving banks in areas they represent.

An IFA bond offering could raise $30 million to $50 million for ShoreBank, depending on how much the bank gets from others. The rest of the capital could take the form of equity from private investors, and possibly an infusion of funds from the federal government’s Troubled Asset Relief Program.

In minutes from the January 9th’s IFA board meeting, Chairman William Brandt indicated saving ShoreBank was still a priority for him. He explained that ShoreBank deserved special consideration for IFA assistance due to its unique social mission, but acknowledged the situtation was still fragile.

Should Illinois Taxpayers be forced to bail out any bank with Illinois funds?

Is this a case of Shorebank being “too big to fail”? Or perhaps “too politically connected” to fail? What about smaller, less politically connected banks? Shouldn’t the Illinois Finance Authority (IFA) consider bailing them out also?

The above article presents but a few of the many individuals who are personally invested in the success of Shorebank.

It will be interesting to watch this situation continue to unfold. With Illinois being virtually bankrupt, how will Illinois residents respond to a bank bailout if it is, in fact, approved by the IFA? We’ll definitely be keeping a close eye on the outcome.

Prodded by the likes of U.S. Sen. Richard Durbin and U.S. Rep. Jan Schakowsky, Illinois Finance Authority officials met earlier this month with ShoreBank executives to discuss raising tens of millions for the bank through an IFA bond offering.

Banking experts say they’re not aware of any previous bank bailout by Illinois or any other state. (emphasis added)

Federal bank regulators usually handle such bailouts. And banks the size of ShoreBank, with assets of $2.5 billion, don’t ordinarily attract attention at the upper levels of government.

But ShoreBank has been lauded by presidents for making loans in economically disadvantaged areas many lenders avoid.

And its political ties run all the way to the White House, where President Barack Obama and the first lady are former neighbors of ShoreBank executives.

Mr. Brandt says the IFA, an economic development arm of state government, won’t consider similar assistance for Illinois’ numerous other small banks beset by the same real estate loan troubles.

“We’re not in the business of saving banks,” he says.

Still, a ShoreBank rescue would almost certainly trigger requests for help from other struggling local banks, some of which also serve low- to moderate-income communities. Rejecting such requests could trigger political repercussions from officeholders intent on saving banks in areas they represent.

An IFA bond offering could raise $30 million to $50 million for ShoreBank, depending on how much the bank gets from others. The rest of the capital could take the form of equity from private investors, and possibly an infusion of funds from the federal government’s Troubled Asset Relief Program.

In minutes from the January 9th’s IFA board meeting, Chairman William Brandt indicated saving ShoreBank was still a priority for him. He explained that ShoreBank deserved special consideration for IFA assistance due to its unique social mission, but acknowledged the situtation was still fragile.

Should Illinois Taxpayers be forced to bail out any bank with Illinois funds?

Is this a case of Shorebank being “too big to fail”? Or perhaps “too politically connected” to fail? What about smaller, less politically connected banks? Shouldn’t the Illinois Finance Authority (IFA) consider bailing them out also?

The above article presents but a few of the many individuals who are personally invested in the success of Shorebank.

It will be interesting to watch this situation continue to unfold. With Illinois being virtually bankrupt, how will Illinois residents respond to a bank bailout if it is, in fact, approved by the IFA? We’ll definitely be keeping a close eye on the outcome.

One nondescript page -— containing 19 names and a note to Gov. Blagojevich from his chief of staff -— shows the clout Antoin “Tony” Rezko once wielded in state government.

“Rod, Here is a list of candidates that Tony Rezko wants to be put on non-paying boards. What are your thoughts?” Blagojevich’s former top aide, Lon Monk, wrote in a note faxed to the governor along with the Jan. 20, 2003, list.

Of the 19 people named on the document, obtained exclusively by the Chicago Sun-Times, 10 wound up being appointed by the governor to a state board or commission -— or got a spouse named. Others wound up with contracts underwritten by taxpayers, or their children got state jobs amid a Blagojevich hiring freeze.

The governor, meanwhile, got more than $830,000 in campaign contributions dating back to 2001 from 15 people on the list, or from their businesses, state records show. The Blagojevich campaign called that figure an “inaccurate representation of the facts.”

There is nothing illegal about Rezko, a recently indicted former top fund-raiser for Blagojevich, making recommendations about who should serve on state panels, or with panel members giving political cash to the governor. The state boards oversee activities ranging from investing pension funds to building affordable housing.

But the wish list comes to light at a time when federal prosecutors are alleging Rezko, in a case involving one state panel, schemed to trade a public pension deal for $1.5 million in contributions to Blagojevich.

All across America every day, after meeting with their attorneys, criminals go before a judge on plea day and enter a plea of “not guilty”.

Yesterday was plea day for the Obama transition team before the American public.

Announcing they would conduct their own internal review – which basically consisted of asking their staff to check their cell phone records, with all the ceremony one might observe from a doorman at Oz, White House attorney Greg Craig, steps from behind the curtain with a brief written report to declare everyone free of taint and stain.

What did anyone truly expect him to do?

He is the attorney for the White House. He is not an investigator, not a prosecutor, not an independent counsel, he is their attorney. And although it is Christmas, he is under no obligation to hand the American people or the FBI, a gift wrapped confession from anyone on the Obama team.

So, as could only be expected, Craig declared the Obama transition team innocent based upon the Obama Team’s own internal review – which stated that none of their people had suggested or considered pay for play with Blagojevich.

It does not say that they didn’t know about it. Which is a felony in and of itself.

It does point out that close friend and personal advisor of Obama, Dr. Eric Whitaker, was approached for information by Blagojevich’s office.

No small wonder. This is not only very telling, but very interesting. According to Lynn Sweet of the Chicago Sun-times, Obama and Dr. Whitaker have been extremely close friends since Harvard, and are in fact so close, that Obama highly recommended Dr. Whitaker to Tony Rezko, sleazy wabbit found all along the Obama Nation bunny trail, for a job as the Illinois Director of Health, where he never applied, but was subsequently hired for, after being approached by Rezko, and Governor Blagojevich’s staff.

E-mails and other records of Dr. Eric Whitaker — one of President Obama’s best friends — have been subpoenaed by a federal grand jury, the Chicago Sun-Times has learned.

The investigation involves “faith-based initiatives” and health-awareness campaigns funded by the Illinois Department of Public Health when Whitaker ran the agency for former Gov. Rod Blagojevich, according to copies of subpoenas obtained under the state’s Freedom of Information Act.

Obama has said he recommended Whitaker for that job, which Whitaker landed in April 2003. The president’s friend resigned in October 2007 to join Obama’s wife, Michelle, as an executive at the University of Chicago Medical Center.

On Friday, Whitaker defended his work as the state’s former top health official, saying he developed “new methods” to help “African-American and other minority communities” get better medical care.

“The faith-based outreach programs at issue in this inquiry were recognized during my tenure by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and others as national models for increasing awareness and preparedness planning for minority populations,” Whitaker said in a statement. “The programs were functioning well when I left the department in 2007.”

All told, Gov. Quinn’s administration turned over copies of six subpoenas sent to four state agencies that show authorities have been seeking information about a variety of health-awareness grants and programs that have cost taxpayers millions of dollars.

One sent to the health department seeks “any and all records” involving “faith-based initiatives” on subjects including “emergency preparedness,” “HIV/AIDS,” “cervical/breast cancer” and “pandemic flu” (see sidebar).

Five subpoenas came from a federal grand jury in Springfield, while the sixth came from a grand jury in Chicago. The most recent is dated March 30.

On October 1, 2006, Mayor Richard Daley appointed Martin Nesbitt as Chairperson of the Chicago Housing Authority succeeding Sharon Gist Gilliam.

Nesbitt was appointed as a Commissioner of the Authority on July 9, 2003. He served as Vice Chairperson of the Board since January 17, 2006. Chairman Nesbitt is president of PRG Parking Management, also known as the Parking Spot, and manages the strategic and operating services of the off-airport parking facilities.

The chairman is also vice president of the Pritzker Realty Group, L.P. where he procures new real estate investment opportunities, retail investments and developments for the Pritzker Group. Prior to joining Pritzker, Chairman Nesbitt was a partner and investment manager at LaSalle Partners and was responsible for the firm’s parking assets. He acquired, financed and managed a $100 million portfolio of parking assets in preparation for its public offering. While at LaSalle, Chairman Nesbitt also managed several specialty fund portfolios of non-traditional real estate investments with a combined market value of more than $1 billion.

Prior to joining LaSalle Partners, Chairman Nesbitt was employed by General Motors Corporation in the area of borrowing and financial planning. There, he was responsible for managing the company’s long-, short- and medium-term borrowing requirements which included the placement of more than $25 billion in debt annually. While at General Motors, Nesbitt was also involved in the securitization and sale of $4 billion in auto loans, an industry first. He was quickly recognized and rewarded at General Motors with one of the company’s GM Fellowships which sponsored his graduate education.

Tale in national spotlight, thanks to Clinton January 24, 2008

All of a sudden, seems as if everybody’s talking about Barack Obama and Tony Rezko. Even Jay Leno.

Rezko already was a big story in Chicago, accused of influence-peddling in the Blagojevich administration and set to face trial Feb. 25.

But Monday, he became national news — and an issue in the presidential race. That’s when Hillary Clinton blasted Obama for having represented “your contributor, Rezko, in his slum landlord business in inner-city Chicago.”

Having a hard time keeping track of the facts? Here are eight things to know:

1. They met in 1990. Obama was a student at Harvard Law School and got an unsolicited job offer from Rezko, then a low-income housing developer in Chicago. Obama turned it down.

2. Obama took a job in 1993 with a small Chicago law firm, Davis Miner Barnhill, that represents developers — primarily not-for-profit groups — building low-income housing with government funds.

3. One of the firm’s not-for-profit clients — the Woodlawn Preservation and Investment Corp., co-founded by Obama’s then-boss Allison Davis — was partners with Rezko’s company in a 1995 deal to convert an abandoned nursing home at 61st and Drexel into low-income apartments. Altogether, Obama spent 32 hours on the project, according to the firm. Only five hours of that came after Rezko and WPIC became partners, the firm says. The rest of the future senator’s time was helping WPIC strike the deal with Rezko. Rezko’s company, Rezmar Corp., also partnered with the firm’s clients in four later deals — none of which involved Obama, according to the firm. In each deal, Rezmar “made the decisions for the joint venture,” says William Miceli, an attorney with the firm.

4. In 1995, Obama began campaigning for a seat in the Illinois Senate. Among his earliest supporters: Rezko. Two Rezko companies donated a total of $2,000. Obama was elected in 1996 — representing a district that included 11 of Rezko’s 30 low-income housing projects.

5. Rezko’s low-income housing empire began crumbling in 2001, when his company stopped making mortgage payments on the old nursing home that had been converted into apartments. The state foreclosed on the building — which was in Obama’s Illinois Senate district.

6. In 2003, Obama announced he was running for the U.S. Senate, and Rezko — a member of his campaign finance committee — held a lavish fund-raiser June 27, 2003, at his Wilmette mansion.

7. A few months after Obama became a U.S. senator, he and Rezko’s wife, Rita, bought adjacent pieces of property from a doctor in Chicago’s Kenwood neighborhood — a deal that has dogged Obama the last two years. The doctor sold the mansion to Obama for $1.65 million — $300,000 below the asking price. Rezko’s wife paid full price — $625,000 — for the adjacent vacant lot. The deals closed in June 2005. Six months later, Obama paid Rezko’s wife $104,500 for a strip of her land, so he could have a bigger yard. At the time, it had been widely reported that Tony Rezko was under federal investigation. Questioned later about the timing of the Rezko deal, Obama called it “boneheaded” because people might think the Rezkos had done him a favor.

8. Eight months later — in October 2006 — Rezko was indicted on charges he solicited kickbacks from companies seeking state pension business under his friend Gov. Blagojevich. Federal prosecutors maintain that $10,000 from the alleged kickback scheme was donated to Obama’s run for the U.S. Senate. Obama has given the money to charity.
