You should set it up for her on one of the free online survey sites. Survey Monkey, etc.

I qualify and would gladly take a couple minutes to whip through such a version, but I hate doing things like this when I have to cut, paste, format, etc. Many others are likely to feel the same.

Hmmm...most have already begun FReepmailing me which is fine. This 7th grader is a dear friend’s daughter and I was hesitant to put her contact info on the web.

Every person is a help.

Well, that didn’t take long.

Actually, she’s from a very fine conservative family. Mom stays home to raise the children and shuttle them to and from Christian school, while dad engineers parts (under multi-level clearance) for secret missiles to protect our country.

This may have come from the fact that one or both of her grandparents have smoked and/or b/c it’s still occurring.

the population. “

Comments to add - My motivation for quitting was my newborn daughter. Nothing less ever budged me no matter how many times I had tried to quit before.

I remember my doctor looking me right in the eye and asking if I wanted to lead her down the isle at her wedding. When I, of course, said yes, he replied, “Well then you better quit smoking or you’re going to be dead.”

Quitting is the hardest thing that I have ever done by far.

Good luck in the science fair.

Please, I’m not questioning this girl’s values nor her patriotism. It’s just that I was being satirical about government’s ever expanding encroachment into matters (especially medical) that were dealt with in the private sphere until recent decades.

Please keep them coming! I’ve been forwarding them to my girlfriend and she tells me her daughter is really excited about how many responses I’ve been able to forward to her.

While some of you may not mind, I took the liberty of deleting your FReeper names from your posts and FReepmail.

Also, I am certain that this is *not* about marijuana or other substances which you may have smoked, snorted, etc. This survey is only about collecting data from smokers and chewers of tobacco.

Having mentioned all that, I desperately need to run a few Christmas errands while my husband has the kiddos. Will check back in later and hope my box is overflowing upon my return!!!

Thanks again guys!

A year after chemotherapy and remission, the cancer returned. She realized that she was going to die and felt ashamed that she had ended her own life by smoking.
