Governor Sarah Palin celebrates the first day of Hanukkah with members of the Jewish community in downtown Anchorage.
Atta girl! You go girl!
SO AWESOME!!! Great photos, thanks so much for posting the link. Sarah cares about all people, makes me so mad when people bash her, makes me sick, look at this woman, she gives it her all every single day, yet mean spirited drones can say nasty comments about her. We need more Sarah’s in this world and less Obama’s and we would be in much better shape
The liberal, Commie ‘RATS in the MSM are going to trash her and Trig for this.
I’m sure MSNBC is hoping for a video of Gov. Palin lighting a Menorah and a rabbi in the background performing a circumcision.
Im sure MSNBC is hoping for a video of Gov. Palin lighting a Menorah and a rabbi in the background performing a circumcision.
Yep, you can be sure they are waiting for that. If not, they won’t report on this, or on Sarah not accepting any pay increase, or her budget plans for next year, nope, if its something positive to report on Sarah, they won’t report it
I LOVE for her to come to my house to celebrate Hanukkah with me
Tread lightly, Governor Palin. Read the New Testament again. Take to heart the writings of Paul.
Gov. Palin should have brought that rifle with her to the MSM interviews! Would love to see Couric or Gibson’s head mounted on the wall!
“Tread lightly, Governor Palin. Read the New Testament again. Take to heart the writings of Paul.”
What do you mean?
Thanks for the post. Sarah brightens up every room she is in.
Maybe she's sticking to the Gospel according to Jesus over Paul...
Dare to dream;-)
“Gov. Palin should have brought that rifle with her to the MSM interviews!
I’d like to have seen her instruct the MSM in shooting, drilling and living in Alaska (not the silly “where is Matty” bs).
I’ll even admit to seeing Oprah and jumping on couch boy on a snowmobile (just woke up, couldn’t find the remote). If Opie-rah wants Sarah, go to Alaska (heck, have jumpingcouchboy take her there by snowmobile)
Well, they have the chance to do so now, don’t they.
Hey Matt (all), wanna learn how to kill, skin and prepare your food? (not just choosing it off of a menu?)
Don’t you all just love the ‘holiday’ specials that have been on about preparing food for the ‘holidays’?
Where did that meat come from? (all those ‘special chefs’ that appear on the shows every day for ratings... )
Thank you Gov Palin
A student of the Holy Word of G-d knows that Yah'shua shalom b'SHEM Yah'shua HaMashiach Adonai
was conceived of the Feast of Chanukah and born
on the Feast of Tabernacles.
She always seems to stand out, doesn’t she?
The article said — “Governor Sarah Palin celebrates the first day of Hanukkah with members of the Jewish community in downtown Anchorage.”
Jesus celebrated the Festival of Lights with others in Jerusalem, too... It’s something that all Christians should keep in mind.
She is a defender of all faith groups...as all true American leaders should be. She won’t sell out like we’ll see Barry the socialist do.
I was hoping for a direct answer from you, but thanks anyway.
Would you prefer that Mrs Palin were anti-Semitic?
She’s showing outreach to other Abrahamic religions, focusing on COMMONALITIES, exactly as the liberals _claim_ to do.
But she’s reaching out for real.
Sarah is so lovable. Happy Hanukkah to our Jewish Freepers.
And would you have the same response if she celebrated with a Muslim group?
This woman is incapable of only one thing: INCAPABLE of a bad photo LOL! What a treat. Notice the appropriate BLUE top, also on Piper, that’s not by accident, I do believe Sarah is well aware of Scripture and traditions, and thanks XeniaSt for that!
Yes, any group of individuals (no matter what race, creed or color) who value the founding principles on which our Nation was created .
In many of Paul’s writings he never validated Jewish ceremonies over salvation in Christ. Paul pleaded with his Jewish brethren to accept Christ as the Messiah. Besides, I’ve never known of one (non-messianic) Jew who celebrated Christmas. She needs to tread lightly. I’m not judging her motives or intent. I just don’t want her feeling pressured to celebrate Kwanzaa or Ramadan or the ‘winter solstice’ next year.
Guess you haven’t read John 10:22? Jesus celebrated Hanukkah. Guess forgot - Jesus is A JEW!
Wow are you unread in Scripture. Have you read Acts 21 and 22? Paul was in the Temple offering sacrifices, so your contention about Paul’s departure from Judaism is kooky.
Not “was” - **IS** a Jew. And sadly, many Jews celebrate “Christ-Mass”
I'm not judging your motives or intent either, but regardless of what you might interpret into Paul... a Governor or President is Governor or President for ALL citizens. Not only the religion you hold true. There's that thing called 1st Amendment.
Beside that Hanukkah reminds us of an event in the history of God's relationship with his people that is historically and spiritually important for ALL of us. All free men can learn something from the Maccabees.
I often enough joined Jewish friends in their celebrations of Hannukah, and I don't let anyone question my faith.
Not regarding you specifically... but it gives me some headaches how sweet and innocent threads get soured by negativity.
Thank you for explaining your opinion. I appreciate it and you answered my question...and I learned something new. :)
As one who certainly understood and believed in the nature of His own divinity and salvation of others via substitutionary atonement, clearly Christ was —and is— Christian.
Correspondingly, it is inaccurate to contend that His religion was one that to this day rejects all of those tenets.
Christ cannot be identified as an adherent of a religion that rejects Christ.
The difference between Christian and non-Christian religions is Christ.
Thus, it is imperative for Christians to, in fact, focus on the difference.
“Jesus celebrated the Festival of Lights with others in Jerusalem, too... Its something that all Christians should keep in mind.”
But she hates the Jooooooooooosssss!!!!!
Clearly a ‘Right Wing Hate Monger’. /s
I have been asking for some years now,the only biblical reference to Hanukka I can find is in Maccabees. The Maccabees are included by the Catholic Church as legitimate books of the Bible but not accepted by the Jews or Protestants,as understand it. Wouldn't that be funny if this great Jewish festival's legitimacy is dependent on scripture only recognized by Catholics?
John 10:22 At that time the Feast of the Dedication took place at Jerusalem;
John 10:23 it was winter, and Jesus was walking in the temple in the portico of Solomon.
John 10:24-30 (King James Version)
24 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.
25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me.
26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.
30 I and my Father are one.
OK, that all just rocks! That just spins my dreidel! Awesome. Where can I get a daughter just like Piper?
