Luckily, we do have several Young Guns (Sarah among them) in the Conservative movement. More power to all of them!

I ordered a copy just the other day. Along similar lines, I wish there was a little coffee-table book around, photographically covering the Guv’s political career up to now. There was a lot of chatter about a potential memoir/autobio a few weeks back. But, for the time being, I’d love to see a nifty picture collection.

My supermarket has been filled with magazines screaming worshipful headlines about Obama and his family. There are “historic” editions of his story and campaign. Other than a mean issue of US magazine, and the newsweeklies when she was nominated, there’s been NOTHING on Palin. You’d think the press guys would like to make a few bucks, but they’d rather die than do anything that would help her political career.

Win or lose next Tuesday, admirers of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin can gaze at her all year round with the release of the 2009 Sarah Palin calendar, filled with original photos from Anchorage-based photographer and friend-of-Palin Judy Patrick. The 13-month calendar–the first of its kind–includes dozens of original portraits and candid shots of the Alaska governor on the job and with her family. July’s pictorial, for instance, features Palin wrapped in the American flag, with a sidebar of pictures of her and her children. “This flag photo was taken just days after the terrorist attacks on 9/11 in 2001.
