There might be a chance to stop this, though — make it enough of a national embarrassment and even Obambi might insist that the name not be changed.
I’m always disgusted by naming or re-naming things after living politicians, anyway. All the Robert Byrd type stuff is particularly loathsome, since it is powerful pols using PUBLIC funds to honor their own fat a##es.
Rule should be that NO public funds can be used on infrastructure to honor ANY living pol — certainly not a pol currently in office!
