Two hours before Springsteen sang 'The Rising' and Tom Hanks quoted Lincoln, the crowd attending the pre-inaugural 'We Are One' concert Sunday on the National Mall was showing clear signs of Obama-mania.
A group of five African American twentysomethings strode down 17th Street toward one of the security checkpoints, singing "Obama my lord' to the tune of 'Kumbyah, my Lord.'
Everyone was wrapped in Obama scarves and Obama toques, and screams went up when the giant JumboTrons showed images of Obama ahead of the concert.
Not everyone was joyous. A woman wearing security credentials kept shouting "You are about to enter a CIA security checkpoint. All bags and purses must be open."
The scene was much more relaxed inside the security checkpoint, located near the World War II memorial. There was plenty of elbow room and the sight lines along the Reflecting Pool were fine.
David Kopro and Ann Drorbaugh, a couple from Olympia, Wash., were among the few folks in the crowd carrying anti-Bush placards. They drew a crowd of folks wanting to snap pictures. Whenever an Air Force helicopter flew overhead, the crowd - assuming Bush was inside - cheered and shouted goodbye. But that was the extent of the ill will.

If Obama succeeds it will be good for the country and to do so he will have to abandon much of the liberal nonsense his worshippers credit him with. Good for the country, good for Obama, bad for liberal idiots.
If Obama fails, it will be because he will be a faithful practitioner of leftist nonsense. Bad for the country, bad for Obama, bad for the short-term future of the wild left and the electorate will turn on Obama in 2012 as they did their former hero Carter.
Jesus said: "Many will come in My Name. See to it that you are not deceived!" He was talking about the "End Times" when He said that. So these morons who elevate Obama to that position will be very sorry when they finally stand in Judgment before the real Messiah!
