England's Scotland Yard estimates that security costs for anti-Israel protests last week exceeded $1.4 million. In one protest alone, more than 12,000 angry Palestinian sympathizers in London smashed windows, destroyed a car, and set Israeli flags ablaze.
Across Europe, police took to the streets to prevent full-scale riots. In Paris, 30,000 protesters denounced Israel and pelted police with stones. Norwegian police used tear gas to disperse several hundred rock throwers in Oslo. Swedish police arrested forty-seven demonstrators at an anti-Israel rally Norrmalmstorg. These demonstrations are not surprising. The Gaza war is the latest excuse for Islamist violence on Europe's streets. In 1989, Iran-inspired extremists firebombed London bookstores during the Salman Rushdie affair. In 2005, Muslims torched cars, destroyed property, and battled police in the Paris suburbs. Should Jews Leave Europe Before its too Late ?
How about Europe arrests the islamofacist and other terrorists that break their laws? How about the Europeans grow a set of balls and stop kissing the islamofacists butts and allowing them to destroy their society’s
Jews in Europe are not helpless, unless they make themselves that way. They should take a lesson from the Sikhs and become a militant religion. The Sikhs were caught between Muslims and Hindus, so carved out a place between the two. Sound familiar?
The way to do this is to change expectations within the Jewish community. For example, all women and girls should carry either a small knife or other bladed weapon. It should be unthinkable that a woman or girl would leave home without it, any more than she should go barefoot.
And Jews should likewise find a religious obligation in learning self defense, to strive to be martial artists.
The lesson should be clear on the street: if you mess with a Jew, he will hurt you. Even a modicum of resistance works wonders. Flight is not an option.
To go where? Here isn’t going to be much more friendly. Heck, some of Europe is actually making some right decisions in the face of these financial woes. They have some soul searching to do when it comes to multiculturalism policies, but they’re poised to come out of this downturn in much better shape than the US at the current rate.
Good post. I think it applies to all groups that are oppressed. You can’t run forever, and usually the sooner you confront evil, the better the outcome. The right to defend yourself from death or harm is the most basic of all rights.
I know a Jewish family who emigrated from France or Belgium. They said Europe is finished for the Jews. Sadly, 78% of Jews in America voted for .....
We are going to get the same thing here that Europe has. Europe has not elected any Islamists to lead any country yet either unlike another unnamed country.
Unless jewish people believe in the second amendment and arm themselves they will be safe nowhere and that includes USA.
He said that he no longer felt safe in London, either as a Jew or a gay man, due to all the Arabs and Pakistanis -- and that he'd much rather be a gay secular Jew in Tel-Aviv then in London.
When the Jews who barely practice Judaism start making aliya, that's a good sign of a Jewish community in trouble.
Yes, they should leave, but if they come here they’ll just end up voting liberal for some unknown, twisted reason.
Jewish history is replete with heroes and heroism - but most of us choose other, more comfortable role models instead. I fail to understand how a people for whom the absolute horror of the Holocaust remains a LIVING memory can support any politician who favors gun control, abortion, or any other of the liberal shibboleths.
The way I see it, every Jew has a solemn duty to own at least one firearm (and ample ammunition) for every family member, and to be be proficient with both the weapon and its proper use.
“Never Again” has become a “please don’t bother me” supplication instead of the absolute duty of each of us.

***Should christians leave America before it’s too late? At least the jews have a homeland that would welcome them. Like Jesus in Luke 9:58, in many respects a christian has no place to lay his head.

I am of the belief that all girls should be raised with the idea of carrying either a small knife or another bladed weapon, and never feel truly comfortable in public without one.
It brings with it psychological premises that are the essence of effective self-defense:
“I must have a knife because girls carry knives. All girls should carry knives.”
“I must carry a knife because there is a reason to carry a knife. There are threats to me in the world for which I need to be armed.”
“If I do not have a knife or bladed weapon, I must get one. If other girls do not have a knife or bladed weapon, they need one as well.”
“How can I make things around me into a weapon?”
“What or who in my surroundings is a threat to me?”
If girls have integrated these ideas into their lives, the odds of them being successfully attacked drops sharply. Even more, they extend that self-protection to other girls as well. And very soon, men realize that attacking women is a lot harder.
