Two words that do NOT belong together:
I’ve got that whole not paying for garbage removal thing down to a science. I compost my kitchen scraps, recycle all of the junk mail and other miscellaneous paper, plastic, glass and metal that I can. Paper that can’t be recycled goes in the wood stove. Stuff that can’t be dealt with in the above manner is collected until I have a whole kitchen size trash bag and then I get somebody else to throw it away for me. I get made fun of for having so many trash cans to make my system work, but, that’s okay. I also have the cleanest trash of anyone that I know. It works very well, saves money and it keeps me from having to haul a big trash can down to the end of my lengthy driveway. I think it’s terrible that that man is being done that way. Where has our real freedom gone anyway?
One more reason to NOT recycle. The system discourages it.
I am an ardent conservationist, but on financial grounds, i refuse to participate in those silly curbside recycling programs. It is simply not cost effective to the municipality.
I outridgth refuse to waste the overpriced water the city sells me to clean out empty cans and bottles.
Besides, the bin is a great place to store more useful things.
