Here is video of Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchinson of Texas talking about the Obama Economic Stimulus Plan with Sen. John Kerry on Meet the Press. Here they focus on the opposition to Obama's plan. Moderator David Gregory plays a clip of Rush Limbaugh challenging Republican Senators to stand up and fight Obama's Plan. Hutchinson says without hesitation that she would "fight this bill as it is, absolutely." John Kerry (aka "Lurch") is his usual blowhard self, praising President Obama and blaming the Republicans for playing "politics." Hutchinson was outstanding in this interview. . . . . . . After voting for that ridiculas socialized medicine crap I suspect her email and phones are rather on fire. This explains her sudden conservative out burst. She doesn’t mean it guys. Another McCain.
She sorta talks a good game with the first few words but after that it sounds wishy washy to me. We lose, because any “bipartisan compromise” is still going to lurch (no pun intended to Lurch Kerry) us further to the left.

She better fight it, if she doesn’t, she has ZERO chance of being the next Gov. of Texas...

As for John Hussein Kerry— I thought we were done with him in 04. No such luck I guess.
Look Hutchinson may be more moderate than conservative but if she is running for Governor of Texas in 2010 she knows she will need a strong conservative contingent. Republicans all know that Rush has an average listening audience of 20m. As a politician you cannot afford to offend that many people. Thus her strong assertion that she would oppose the stimulus plan. Don’t let anybody tell you that Rush doesn’t impact American politics.And the reason he does quite simply is that he is right 98.6% of the time.
I just kept wishing she’d “reach across the aisle” and backhand that silly SOB Kerry right upside his smirking piehole.
Like Rush said, Hussein is trying to change the focus from the Democrat plan to something else....hopefully it won’t work.

My first thought was she has a lot of making up to do after that ridiculous vote last week.
I think her sudden conservative outbursts (she voted NO on Geithner) is due to her running for Texas.

Can’t they find a real conservative in all of Texas? What happened? Did they all die at the Alamo?
