Dem Sen. Stabenow Says She is Ready to Lead Fight for Fairness Doctrine - Audio 2/5/09

Here is audio of Michigan Sen. Debbie Stabenow talking with liberal radio talk show host Bill Press about bringing back the Fairness Doctrine. Bill Press brazenly asks Stabenow if it is not time to bring back the "Fairness Doctrine," as he wined about the failure of numerous "progressive" talk shows around the country.

Stabenow says she is ready to push for consideration in the Senate this year of some kind of "standard," whether it is called the "Fairness Doctrine" or something else, to ensure talk radi is not dominated by conservative voices.

There you have it folks. Democrats are enraged that Obama's Stimulus Plan is having a hard time in the Senate right now, and they blame conservative talk radio. They have hated Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and others for years. Now, they are ready to make their push to silence their voices. This will be the "mother of all battles" when it commences. Be assured, it is coming. . . . . . . . . . (Listen to Stabenow Talk the Fairness Doctrine)

Bill Press, part of the long line of fair and balanced ‘journalism’ from CNN.

Watch for the words “community” and “localism”....not so much “Fairness Doctrine”.

What's amazing is that he's forwarded this to Hannity and Levin. I don't know if there are other conservative hosts on the list. Maybe he actually sees this an attack on the First Amendment.

Does that senator want to do for the rest of the country what they (liberals) have done to their own states?

I know Rush was never big on using his show to get people to call Washington to lobby these goons, but I think it’s time that he, along with ALL the other radio host, filp the switch over to doing just that.

They are our greatest national link to each other, and this is a real emergency!

so CNNBCBCABCMSNBSPBS will have to air some conservative views from now on?

I think we demand it in this new ‘fairness’ bill.

Definite conflict of interest here.

Senator Stabenow’s husband is a former co-founder of the liberal “Air America” talk radio network.

Not only that, but he was caught and admitted fault in a prostitution sting (paid $150 for a “Lewinski” last April)

Here is the email I sent to Sen. Stabenow -

“Dear Senator,

Your focus on the Anti-First Amendment Doctrine (aka The “Fairness” Doctrine) is abhorrent and treasonous. Allow me to recommend some reading material to you:
1. The Constitution of the Republic of the United States of America
2. The Bill of Rights

I am fascinated by the fact that the Anti-First Amendment Doctrine targets ONLY conservative radio talk shows and NOT liberal news organizations to include NPR, PBS, ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, the New York Times, The Washington Post, the LA Times, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, the Chicago Tribune and The San Francisco Chronicle to name the more prominent organizations. Would you care to comment on that, Senator?”

Correction: Stabenow’s husband, Thomas Athans, is the co-founder of the liberal TalkUSA Radio network.

RIGHT! Let’s tar and feather Stabenow and run her out of town on a rail.

... except who the heck could lift the rail??!?

Athans was a VP of Air America in April 2008, when he was caught with the hooker.

I am really hoping the libs try to shut down conservative talk radio. They don’t know what kind of fight they’re in for. Bring it on, libs.
