Dem Sen. Stabenow Says She is Ready to Lead Fight for Fairness Doctrine - Audio 2/5/09
Freedom's Lighthouse ^ | February 5, 2009 | BrianinMO

Here is audio of Michigan Sen. Debbie Stabenow talking with liberal radio talk show host Bill Press about bringing back the Fairness Doctrine. Bill Press brazenly asks Stabenow if it is not time to bring back the "Fairness Doctrine," as he wined about the failure of numerous "progressive" talk shows around the country.

Stabenow says she is ready to push for consideration in the Senate this year of some kind of "standard," whether it is called the "Fairness Doctrine" or something else, to ensure talk radi is not dominated by conservative voices.

There you have it folks. Democrats are enraged that Obama's Stimulus Plan is having a hard time in the Senate right now, and they blame conservative talk radio. They have hated Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and others for years. Now, they are ready to make their push to silence their voices. This will be the "mother of all battles" when it commences. Be assured, it is coming. . . . . . . . . . (Listen to Stabenow Talk the Fairness Doctrine)

Dem Sen. Stabenow Says She is Ready to Lead Fight for Fairness Doctrine

Guess what, Senator Stabenow (is that even actually her name? Stab-(m)e-now ??? /laughs) ... anyways, the so-called *fight* for the Fairness Doctrine was settled, oh, some two hundred and twenty years ago with the adoption of the "Bill of Rights" in the US Constitution ... and guess what, Senator StabMeNow ... it didn't pass muster then, and it won't pass muster now.

Good Grief! What is is with these frickin Liberals?

I dare them! They have no idea what they’d be messing with if they try to silence Rush and all the other conservatives in talk radio. Rush alone has MILLIONS of listeners. And I think it would awaken the “silent majority” too. It wouldn’t be pretty for the democritters.

This is from the similar article linked by Drudge:

closing of liberal station Obama 1260

Get it - this was brought up over the closing of a liberal talk station named OBAMA 1260! The only other info I have on the station is this linked from the same article:

The change coming to Obama 1260 won't please its liberal listeners.

The talk radio station, which changed its name during the campaign, is switching to financial news. Its syndicated hosts -- such as Rachel Maddow, Ed Schultz, Stephanie Miller, and Bill Press -- will be dropped in the process.

Of course the station was never considered a campaign contribution. So again, the preface for bringing up the fairness doctrine is the closing of a station named, not Liberal 1260 or Truth 1260 (ha, ha), but OBAMA 1260. One of the most blatant examples of liberal hypocrisy I have ever seen. I actually thought it was an Onion article for a second.

Just how much influence can we really have? Especially for someone like me who lives in an ultra blue state?

It is my belief that people in Congress almost never listen to their constituents unless it is a real close election.

It’s fair now. We can’t help it if the dem/lib/lefties dont’ have anyone smart enough or sharp enough to hold an audience like Rush and Sean. Remember Franken? Wasn’t he going to be the do all be all with his show?????? The dem/lib/lefties just can’t hold an audience. This will end up being a BIG FIGHT for sure and it will be censorship and if that is the case...then there are a lot of other things out there that should be censored and the politicians and crybabies won’t like that. This will NOT go away quietly and doubt it will ever happen.

Talk radio that leans to the right has always been the clearest proof of pro-Dem bias in the MSM. It trounces any form of liberal talk radio because it feeds a void that liberals don't have due to the leftward echo chamber of the MSM, entertainment, academia etc.

Worst case scenario is Rush etc. go to the web, sell monthly passes for whole show downloads, special offerings, etc. Then someone will create a mega-pass where one pays say $15 and gets a potpouri of shows where the show royalties taken out of the $15 go proportionally to the shows most downloaded. Something to that effect.

The fact that there is one medium (radio) that they don't control enrages them. They want to control ALL the media. It's not enough that they control the movies, TV, commercials, music, literature, newspapers -- have I forgotten anything? The Fairness Doctrine will be interesting because then THEY TOO will have to abide by it. Which means that all the liberal media will have to be balanced with a conservative viewpoint. That includes NPR, all the liberal newspapers, liberal websites, etc etc. I say, bring it on. After years of being saturated with liberalism, we need to have it balanced with conservatism. One tiny medium (radio) isn't enough.

I hope Stabenow does get her hearings. Televised hearings. With Rush Limbaugh testifying. She will rue the day. But somehow I think she’s not sincere about hearings. And if she is, it will be a kangeroo court with little Republican participation allowed. That in itself would be an interesting thing to watch.

Why was this picture of the Dangerously Incompentent Deb not on billboards all over Michigan when she ran for re-election in 2006????? She is a total moron, but there’s just not enough of us outside the Detroit-Flint-Saginaw corridor to beat Dems in any statewide contest.

Now THIS is one CREEP that needs a BIG Freepin’, imho!

(I can’t believe how FEW hits the Stabenow articles are
gettin’!). :(

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/search?q=quick&m=all&o=time&s=Stabenow&find=Find

EVERY time they bring up reviving the UN-Fairness doctrine
(previously known as the Fairness Doctrine), we need to
RESOUNDINGLY push back!

Because once they FORCE Censorship of Rush, Mark Levin,
Laura Ingraham, Sean Hannity and ALL the great talk-radio
Kings and Queens, what can we do ???

And they WILL LIKELY try to shut us down here on the
Internet, too!!

We MUST give this woman a RESOUNDING FREEPIN’, I tell ya!!

I want to compose a GOOD email telling her my VEHEMENT
objections to her CENSORSHIP Doctrine. That is what it
is, CENSORSHIP!!

It’s not ENOUGH for them that they already OWN the ENTIRE
Mainstream Media including almost ALL the TV News (we DO
have FOX, which IS Fair and Balanced) and 90% of the PRINT
media (Newspapers, Magazines, etc.) !! They want to TOTALLY
shut down the Conservative Voice!

Just G-R-R-R-R-R-R-R !!!!

Pingin’ several of my ping lists here. What say YOU, folks??

Ping! Ping! Ping!
