Because contained somewhere in this mass of quips, quotes and conjecture are more than a few incriminating truths, if anybody could ever find them. It would take a lifetime of searching the way this thing is arranged.

The writers here are sometimes obsessive gathering information from far and wide to post here. All of the information is on a common theme...conservative principles, save for the intrusions of a few left wingers who can’t hold themselves back. Other than them I feel there are a fair number of lurkers from the left.

It is not quite like a wall where people stop by to pin their thoughts on stick notes but it is near to it.

Maybe, in my ignorance, I am missing something about the organization but if I am it is not apparent to me.

I see now how you came upon this thread.

I would say that any suggestions on improving things should be sent to the FR management. I manage quite well, though I've had several years to get used to the place compared to your relative registration date.

Even though you didn't say as much, your "FREP" obviously does mean Free Republic. As you may note simply using "FR" works the same and is more readily recognized.

It is not quite like a wall where people stop by to pin their thoughts on stick notes but it is near to it.
So you're British/Aussie? Your phraseology is indicative.

There are a fair number of them that try to pawn themselves off as conservatives as well. Time tells.

I always think of things like that as selling your soul and my mother ingrained the fact into us that even though no one else may know what you did the Lord does. It would never be worth it to me.

Do you remember this old story?

I am curious if you believe that this report has anything to do with the recent news about Hank Paulson's new book, ON THE BRINK - regarding Putin's efforts to get China to drop its Freddie & Fannie bonds.

I do remember it well. This is all very odd though because Paulson loves Obama

Hank Paulson feared there would be a run on the dollar during the early phase of the financial crisis when global concerns were focused on the US. When the crisis escalated and went global with the failure of Lehman Brothers in September 2008, the dollar rallied – but Mr Paulson had to grapple with a firestorm of financial failures.

He feared Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley would go down along with Washington Mutual and Wachovia.

“The timing could not have been worse since we were months or weeks from the election so you had the collision of markets and politics.”

Although a Republican, Mr Paulson found it harder to deal with John McCain than Barack Obama – raising the interesting (and unanswered) question of which candidate Mr Paulson voted for.

Paulson, doing the closed door session we heard about from KUCINICH of all people, scaring the living $hiite out of Reid & Pelosi (or were they in on it all along—hence their rush to personal riches and rags-for-all-y’all), talking to 0basoros and the Demfasicsts 1st, and on his knees to Pelosi after 0bama flew off the handle in the Oval Office....

Fascinating. Not only do these people keep their jobs, but also they increase their personal fortunes AT THE EXPENSE OF THE COUNTRY’S and its citizens’. I wonder where they think they’ll go if it really DOES hit the proverbial fan.

I suspect they were all in on it but that is just my opinion. Paulson also claimed Russia told China to sell the Fannie/Freddie and they were selling. Some people on the other hand are questioning if we were trying to avoid a war with China because the banks sold them toxic loans.

” Bush was not himself the last year.. it was more pronounced as the summer wore on...”

I read something just a very short time after that he was threatened by something like a release of Bio Chems in this country if he didn’t get on board

up and until that point I gave him credit for being dumb as a fox, Texas poker player .. he was 180 in character at the time he said it had to be done

whatever it was that go to him we may never know

if you are responsible for the lives of 300M people, do you call a bluff just because you can say who it was that caused what was killing them off?
