If the foundations be destroyed, what shall the righteous do?
Recently I felt compelled to send out an URGENT message warning of an impending great calamity such that will cause even Gods elect to tremble.
One Bishop asked, Is there no further word: How should the righteous respond to such a word?
I can only answer by sharing what the Holy Spirit is speaking to my own heart and what I am to do. I shared that I was led in a practical way to lay aside a months supply of food because I have witnessed the panic in the wake of terrorism. That has to be a personal word for every individual.
This is what I hear the Holy Spirit speaking to my heart concerning my own spiritual response to impending calamity. It is simply this STAND STILL AND SEE THE SALVATION OF THE LORD.
And Moses said to the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will show you today The Lord shall fight for you, and you shall hold your peace (Exodus 14:13-14).
This is the attitude of faith in the face of calamity. What could Israel do on the brink of the Red Sea? Pharaohs army is pressing in, mountains are on both sides, and there is an impossible sea ahead. The flesh cries, Do something!
The flesh cries hopelessness. Can Gods people dry up the sea? Level a mountain? Fight a great army without having weapons? They are in what appears to be a dreadful, frightening situation. Gods people tremble and in this hour of trembling comes a word from God. In essence:

You may be confusing your neighborhood "fortune teller" with prophets.
Once again, David Wilkerson is not a prophet, so we're not talking about him.
Prophets (of God) in the Old Testment only speak what God gives them to speak. No more, no less. If they lied, they died (stoning).
I understand how you feel. I guess we all just want someone to tell us what we have to do to make it better. Just as long as he's not a Christian preacher. Right?
If it walks like a duck, and talks like a duck...it is not a duck? All denials to the contrary...he is still predicting the future!
At the risk of being called a nut I will point out that this summer NASA is planning to fire two missiles into the Moon. It is called the LCROSS mission. Personally I do not view NASA as having a great track record of success nor do I feel comfortable with this plan. Back during one of the Apollo missions they had hit the moon in a similar fashion and it was reported that the Moon wobbled and rang like a gong for over three hours. Now they want to double down and hit twice in one of the poles of the Moon.
If this Pastor is having a real premonition then could it be that this is what he is sensing?
Thanks for your intelligent insightful comments.
It seems to me that far too many people mistake God for Santa Claus and that Santa has a very short list of bad little boys and girls. Hey, when was the last time any American children that we know of got a lump of coal for Christmas and not a ton of toys?
50,000,000 abortions in the U.S. since 1973? Far too many people think that God should be thanking them for helping to keep children from growing up underpriviledged, or possibly even abused.
"Word of the Lord," prophecies, fortune telling...I'm still waiting for Pat Robertson's catastrophic revelations that were supposed to happen in 2006, then 2007. Many a Christian preacher has gotten a bit of fame and morphed into an attention whore.
I trust my Bible and a few men of the faith who have proved to be reliable - as the Scriptures direct. Anyone who says God told him that bad things are going to happen either lives under a rock or wants attention.

His church is in New York City. He was there during the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center Towers. I suspect that's why he believes in putting aside food, particularly in light of the severity of the "calamity" that ". . the Holy Spirit is speaking to my heart and what I am to do." (His statement.)
Food is not really a critical issue as long as we’re talking about a short term/localzed disruption. Most American adults have plenty of stored fat and can live for three to four weeks without consuming any food whatsoever. Available food should be allocated to children, the elderly, and the sick first; then, to adults who are doing hard physical labor; then to other adults. The canned goods in your pantry right now are likely enough to feed your kids for a month or more. It’s important to make sure your kids get a complete protein in every meal (meat, tofu, cheese, or a mixture of beans AND corn) plus the necessary vitamins.
For stockpiling, a couple of Sterilte tubs full of dried beef, dried milk, rice, and canned vegetables will suffice. Beef Jerky + canned veg + dried milk + rice will sustain life for a long time. You should also lay in some multivitamins to compensante for the unbalanced diet you may have to eat.
Water is the critical need. Don’t stockpile water itself until the crisis actually comes; it’s too heavy and hard to store. Instead, make sure you have plenty of plain, unscented bleach on hand, along with a water filter of some sort. Also, it’s aa good idea to keep on hand at all times a selection of CLEAR (transparent) plastic soda bottles (two liter capacity each). Clean these with bleach and water, then cap and store them empty. These bottles can be filled with FILTERED water and capped; when left in direct sunlight for an hour or two, the water in the bottles will be sterilized by solar UV rays, becoming suitable for drinking or cooking.
And you can never have enough can openers, toliet paper, matches, candles, and firewood.
As for firearms — I keep on hand a .22 Short squirrel rifle for small game and a 12-ga shotgun for self-defense. You’re the best judge of your own needs.
