Unlike other politicians, Hunter isn’t afraid of the Ann Coulters and Free Republics of the world. He likes them.

Hunter: It was a libertarian candidate. Libertarian candidates have a way of sounding normal for about a half an hour. Then the last 10 minutes when they tell us they want to legalize drugs, we fall out of our chairs. It was a great first exposure to a libertarian candidate. (laughs). 30 minute speech, normal for 28 minutes. Ain't that the truth!LOL
Good interview! Thanks pissant!

Let’s hope so. Our country needs a Reaganite as badly as it did in 1980.

One thing I notice is Duncan Hunter’s respect for Mike Huckabee. I’m wondering if Hunter as a candidate would benefit having Huckabee help him with organization?

I think he was mainly using Huck’s experience as a reason to believe that you don’t have to be an annointed candidate to compete. Huck was the only one of the cahs poor candidates to elevate. Hunter sees hope in that. Not so much for Huckabee, but for himself going forward.

Only if Huckabee isn't interested in either POTUS or VPOTUS.
There's not a small-goverment bone in that Christian Socialist's body.

He’s been out slamming Obama and all the stimulus packages, so my guess is Huck is going to run.

No one is perfect, and Hunter's falling for the Huckabee shtick drops him down to "only" about 99% in my book.
Also, as I remember, the initial "anointed candidate" was Giuliani. Romney also looked strong at first. McCain only emerged as dominant after early challengers eliminated each other.
