Hi upsdriver! Yes, I only wish he’d written it before running in ‘08.

McCain isn't running for President, I don't think Hunter will - or should. Neither is qualified to run the country. AND I am not cheerleading for McCain, you are trying to obfuscate here. Nor did I want him to win the nomination last year... anymore than I wanted Hunter to win the nomination.

It is too early to start spamming FR with Hunter for President stuff the same as you spammed it to defeat McCain for President because your guy didn't win the nomination. My guy didn't win the nomination, either, but I picked my chin up off the ground and supported the United States of America in the election. You, OTOH, did every thing you could to help defeat the USA in the election...

I did?? Point to one sentence, after the primary was over, where I asked or urged ANYONE not to vote for McCain. I didn’t. I, OTOH, put principle before party. If a guy is a global warming believing, free speech curtailing, gun grabbing, Amnesty supporting, tax raising, socialist bailout voting RINO, he will never get my vote, whether the name is McCain, Snowe, Specter, Giuliani, or Obama.

POint to one urging folks to vote against Mccain. They are figments of your imagination.

Yes, I liked Rudy. I think he had a good record of being frugal with money and a proven record of fiscal discipline and tax cutting. I know people here didn't support him because, unlike Romney, he refused to flip-flop on his prior positions... I still don't believe he would have done what Obama is doing, though, and out and out encouraging our abortion laws to be turned upside down. I "believe" he would probably have his shoulders to the grindstone concentrating on trying to turn this economy around without putting us in the poorhouse.

He supported our military and the WOT and wasn't afraid to call it thus...I KNOW he wouldn't be turning Gitmo loose on our shores, he wasn't a global warming fanatic like McCain, Huckabee and Romney... in fact he actually said what none off the other candidates dared say about it... that he didn't believe it was manmade.

However, that is all water under the bridge. I didn't like Romney or Huckabee any more than I liked McCain, but just as I did with McCain I would have sucked it up and supported any of the others had they won the nomination... I truly believe you fight it out in the primary and then suck it up and support the right side.

What is most sad is how few people even bother to vote in primaries and how many people vote for the person the MEDIA tells them is the front runner so they can say they voted for the winner...

You don’t remember the vanity you posted, as I recall on a Friday, after McCain’s last townhall where he made those stupid statements about Obama being a nice guy???? You were off the charts that day.

I said he just lost the election. Did I sound happy about it? And guess what, I gave quite a bit of support to McCain, vicariously, by highlighting Sarah Palin.

And Guess what else. I was right. He stepped on his John Thomas that day, and he never recovered.

We all knew he stepped in it that day, but having a hissy fit didn’t help anything. We have got to start using our heads and try to save this nation before it’s totally lost. Did you see the latest DRUDGE headline??? But for right now the last election is over, the next has not started yet, and we have to every one of us stop cheer leading anyone — including Palin (who I “think” I like) and watch and wait and then put them all through the paces without tearing FR apart like the last election... Sanity, pissant... no mob rule..

I’m being proactive. I’m going to support Hunter if he runs. And I’m going to encourage him to run and start early. No one else interests me in the least at the moment.

Hunter will never be president, no matter how early he starts. He has zero executive experience and he doesn’t have the charisma to move to the font tier.

Then you work for whatever RINO you want. So simple.

I’m not going to work for anyone until I see who is running and what they are all about... but if you mean by “working” for someone for pay then I think it’s time for people on FR to be open and above-board and state clearly to everyone here they are working for a living for a certain candidate and donating here accordingly... JMHO

"Hunter/Pence 2012!"

Yeah! Things were a little busy here over the past day, and I just now saw the post above this thread.

We'll do it! I'll start some little networking and get people to lean toward Hunter now. ...about a year before I can become more of an asset.

...hope you're ready for votes from all kinds of people, including Democrats. All kinds of voters are sick and tired of the special interest candidates, special interest leadership and dishonest distractions that we've seen for so long. ...will start writing some strategic suggestions in notes, too.

Every American should be respected in efforts toward building the USA and achieving greatness without special interests trying to get in the way.

“Hunter/Pence 2012!”

Thanks for the ping. I’m with you on Hunter (he got my write in)...but not sure about Pence. IIRC, he was pushing that whole revolving door “touch back” amnesty scheme, wasn’t he?

Most Americans are through with special interest constituents and inexperienced, dishonest candidates who are throwing our Nation into the third world dump for bribes...,er, investments from tyrannical foreign nations. We’ll support Duncan Hunter, regardless of what Hillary’s fans and political associates contrive against him and his supporters.
