It was apparent that Barack Obama had a new teleprompter at last night's press conference. His head was not bobbing back and forth from left to right. He looking straight ahead in a fixed, glazed eyed, deer in the headlights stare into space as he read the speech. This was early evidence that he fired his trusty teleprompters that stood faithfully by his side and worked so well for him from the beginning of the campaign. His unblinking stare would have gotten any other citizen who did this while driving his car a police test for impaired driving. This firing of his two trusted aides should be an ominous warning for Treasury secretary Tim Geithner.
Barack's new teleprompter did let him down just like a failed Commerce Secretary appointee when it caused him to stumble during the speech reading. After the word flub, the TV audience could see several reporters look over their right shoulders to see the offending teleprompter standing quietly in the center of the room behind their backs.
The spiffy new teleprompter looked like a 52 inch wide screen model that was probably a a Taiwanese, Mexican or Malaysian national. The new teleprompter was hired soon enough before e-verify can be implemented to escape close immigration scrutiny. Thus, Obama avoided illegal foreign employee problems faced by Zoe Baird.

It looks like the new teleprompter has it’s own security force standing next to it.
Did everyone see Rahm Fish Head and the other Bambi aides passing their Blackberry around? I wonder if it could make inputs to the real Obama aide?
Of COURSE the new teleprompter has its own private security force. Can you imagine what would happen if someone were to walk over and unplug it (or better yet, sabotage it)? Obama would have nothing to say while people scurried about trying to get it working again. (Unless he has backup ear plugs telling him what to say, like the youtube video of him at the campaign stop, where he stumbled around for a few seconds: “uh ... uh .. wait a mpment... I can’t hear myself ... uh ... “)

LOL! That’s funny. Glad to see someone has the same sense of humor and does something about it.

I'm not a technical person, so I have a question that I hope some Freeper can answer for me. I understand that Bambi's aides were seated in the back, passing blackberries around during the press conference. Would they be able to send responses to Obama for the questions asked by the press, from their blackberries to the large monitor he was reading from?
No. PBS showed a side shot during the questions, and the teletubby, sorry - teleprompter, was off.

I’ll go a step further.
His message will be recorded and broadcast while he lip syncs.
Questions will be answered by someone else using a voice altering device.
He will hear the voice through an ear bud and lip sync it.
Watch for a slight delay from his mouth.
