I have received several Inquiries about The Sarah Palin Defense Fund. A spokesperson for the Governor gave me the following information on it:
A legal defense fund should be up and running soon so keep your eyes out. I don't have the details to reveal now.
The fund is a grassroots effort led by Alaskans, and many Alaskans and Americans have contacted us to inquire how they can assist. We cannot thank you enough!!
Since her rise to national prominence, Governor Palin has been the subject of an onslaught of frivolous ethics complains by Democratic operatives. She now owes more than a half million dollars to an Anchorage law firm.
Make no mistake about it. These silly filings are so her Democratic opponents can say "Governor Palin has been the subject of ten ethics complaints." It is just plain dirty politics. They know the Governor was elected to fight corruption and this is an underhanded way to attack he squeaky clean image. It is the same way they used the silly wardrobe story to under cut her "just an average hockey Mom" image. Notice they never investigated how much the campaigns spent on Barack Obama or john McCain's suits.
Recently the Governor fired back calling the ethics complaints partisan, false and frivolous, starting with "the politically motivated Troopergate probe." She said the legal bills all stem from her actions as governor.
Even though the complaints are all based on her actions as Governor, she must use her own money to defend herself. She makes $125,000 a year. The legal bills are four times that amount.

I work for some.
I’ll donate $500 on the first day it is officially established. She’ll have $500,000 raised in a few days, I’m sure. There will be more law suits coming, so she’ll have to raise at least $1 million.
The severity of the financial strains this lawsuit terrorism put on her family hasn’t been known until March 20.
I hope that there are some Conservative lawyers who will in future side with her.
How is a donation to this fund treated for tax purposes? Is it considered a political contribution? If so what is the limit?
Per Bill O'Reilly the limit is 1000 USD each. I think they are tax deductible, but don't know for sure about these matters. Maybe a lawyer Freeper can help out.

Why doesn't her law firm counter sue those bastards for legal fees, defamation, and for harassing her and her family through the legal system and for the financial damages incurred instead of constantly being on the defensive? It's always conservatives being harassed with silly lawsuits by Leftist DemonRAT lawyers and the political persecution mobs they represent. I never hear of any counter suits against these Democrat Party political harassment groups for their misuse of the legal system. This must change! Make them pay for evil actions.

If Sarah had even an inkling as to how the “media” was going to treat her and her family, I wonder if she’d have send “thanks but no thanks” to McCain. Wouldn’t blame her a bit if she had.

while we are at it... how about getting the names of those trying to hurt the Palins by pushing frivolous lawsuits? why not bring them out into the open? how about a few lawsuits against liberal candidates, forcing them to defend themselves?

It was nothing less than criminal how the left demonized and lied and misled about Sarah. If all of us will just even do a little bit to help her, it will be taken care of. She should be tormented NO MORE.

Still, there's bound to be something you could do to help the licensed Alaskan lawyers to save Sarah some money.
Just the act of hundreds of lawyers around the country volunteering to help Sarah might deter the frivolous charges being made against.
