The Oklahoma City bombing was a domestic terrorist attack on April 19, 1995 aimed at the U.S. government in which the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, an office complex in downtown Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, was bombed. The attack claimed 168 lives and left over 800 people injured. It was the largest terrorist attack on American soil in history before the September 11 attacks.

I think the perp who destroyed the Branch Davidian Complex outside of Waco Texas should be brought to the Bar! Hanging, Scalping, Firing Squad and dismemberment would be too little given the little children who were killed!
Prayers up for all the victime of that horrific event.
Sadly...tragically...we have learned little from that attack.
So little talk and in fact ignoring the clear ties to Islamic Terror at the time. McVeigh and Nichols were not "right wing christian militia"". They were tied at the hip to Islamics and they were used as a Reichstag event at the time when our own governmental infiltrator warnings went unheeded.
With all the hype and demonizing of conservtives going on now, I fear there may be more such events in our future, while hoping and praying it is not so.
Prayers up for all the victims and those affected.
What is that amazing book by the woman who did all that research, connecting the Iraqis to the bombing? That was a brave piece of work, and quite the convincing argument that more needed to be done to understand who really was behind this act of terror.
Was it The Third Terrorist or something like that?
Sadness for all who lost their lives on this day.
The government just *@* murdered those folks, you all better think long and hard about that
Ted was a wise man.

"Another Conspiracy Theory intrigued me because I could never disprove it. The theory seemed unlikely on its face: Ramzi Yousef or Khalid Sheik Muhammad had taught Terry Nichols how to blow up the Oklahoma Federal Building. The problem was that, upon investigation, we established that both Ramzi Yousef and Nichols had been in the city of Cebu on the same days. I had been to Cebu years earlier; it is on an island in the central Philippines. It was a town in which word could have spread that a local girl was bringing her American boy friend home and that the American hated the U.S. government.
Yousef and Khalid Sheik Muhammad had gone there to help create an al Qaeda spinoff, a Philippine affiliate chapter, named after a hero of the Afghan war against the Soviets, Abu Sayaff. Could the al Qaeda explosives expert have been introduced to the angry American who proclaimed his hatred for the U.S. Government? We do not know, despite some FBI investigation. We do know that Nichols's bombs did not work before his Philippine stay and were deadly when he returned. We also know that Nichols continued to call Cebu long after his wife returned to the United States. The final coincidence is that several al Qaeda operatives had attended a radical Islamic conference a few years earliler in, of all places, Oklahoma City.
