It is time to unleash hell on the National Republican party establishment. We need to "blacklist" any Republican who speaks out against Governor Palin is an unfair way. We can put their name on a "wall of shame". and actively seek to defeat them in GOP primaries or undermine them in any way possible.
It is time to get nasty. These are the kind of tactics that got President Obama the nomination and ultimately the Presidency in 2008. It it time we take notes and play the same game.
And we need to play their game in a general election. We need to dig up trash on the Democrats and go after them as they have us.
We have so many resources at our finger tips. It is time to use them in a more effective way.
starting with John McCain
( McShame ? )
McCain, Gingrich, Specter
a few off the top of my head.
And who gets to decide what’s unfair?
Not for just those who are anti-Palin, but those who have cooperated with the enemy.
Elephants have long memories, we should too.
I am an American first, Texan 2nd, and Vote Republican.
Way too passive.
We need to vigorously pummel (figuratively speaking of course) any and every such RINO.
Kay Baily Hutchison
Blacklist? Great idea. Freedom of speech is so over-rated.
I think most of us know when a Palin hater is a Palin hater. Any comments about her family. Anyone who repeats the Main Stream Media talking points.
we know it when we see it.
...and his vile offspring Megan “Chubby” McCain!
(1) What's your definition of "blacklisting?" So far, Palin's views on border security and limited government are not known, and she made some global warming comments that had conservatives' scratching their heads.
(2) Is Palin even running in 2012? You don't know if she is or not, so hold your fire until she does.
(3) Sorry, but RINOs have 1st Amendment rights too. Last time I looked, Palin is a grown-up who can more than handle her own. I'm sure she can handle the GOP establishment. She's been down this road before.
I say this as a Palin supporter, but by all means I'm not in favor of treating her with kid gloves or giving her a pass on issues that conservatives hold dear.
We do. :o)
Of course you can start working against those who turn on your favorite or line of thought.
by “blacklist”
I mean within the Republican party. they can say and do whatever they want. but we will not support them, we will not vote for them, and we will work to defeat them.
You entirely miss the point. Freedom of Speech is fine. The Republicans who attack Palin have every right to do so.
But her supporters have the right to attack them for helping the liberal establishment and work for their electoral defeat.
Me.
“And who gets to decide what’s unfair?”
Well, me of course.
Reading this thread causes me to wonder if the Republican Party will ever be unified again in my lifetime.
Me too.
So does it include those who oppose her in a presidential primary race IF she runs?
To add two “conservative” commentators we should boycott and dismiss: Peggy Noonan and Debbie Schlussel.
Schlussel is pretty popular among Conservatives, but she turned on the Palins like a liberal, calling them “pretentious stupid white trash” and worse.
It will.
We are not hitching a ride on the train anymore. We are taking over the train. and now they will have to hitch a ride with us.
We are taking control of our party.
The reason why we fracture are those Republicans who attack Conservatives and don’t listen to Reagan’s 11th Commandment:
“Never speak ill of another Republican.”
I see nothing wrong with calling those Republicans out that attack Palin’s family or character, using liberal talking points.
I agree
Is Ma Palin running for the GOP nomination in 2012?..... If so she may need the help of some of those supporters whom you may choose to blacklist. Seems kinda early in the game to start all the infighting amongst the party.
Unity comes about not through subtraction, but through addition, through mutual respect within the party even when people disagree on some points. That’s the way Reagan unified the party.
I don’t see a Reagan on the horizon, unfortunately. Time will tell if Palin has those same skills.
You seem to lack understanding of the meaning of freedom of speech. No one is calling for imprisonment by the gov’t for people because of their words. You don’t get freedom from consequences of your speech, nor do you get freedom from being offended by the speech of others, despite what many seem to think.
There’s nothing wrong with working to throw people out of office because you don’t agree with their ideas (such as those who dislike Palin because they want to suck up to the MSM). Throwing people out of office because you disagree with their ideas and actions is what a Republic is all about. Crying “suppression of freedom of speech!” over that is absurd.
I think it should take the form of a decision by a hockey player being blind-sided along the boards to take the number of the opposing player after he gets up and eventually effect payback at a later time.
I already “blacklisted” the Republican Party (switched to “unaffiliated”), because of Republican feminism, disrespect for elders, big government that supports feminism, compromises with Democrats, lack of will to prosecute illegal drug offenders and pimps, globalism and lack of conservatism in general, including lack of good manners.

Heh. :)
Seems to me that it would be a lot wiser to drive the liberals out of the party. The rest will take care of itself without naming Palin as a reason.
What do you mean “this thread”. EVERY thread on FR is like this!
That is one thing that I think Glen Beck has right on his 9-12 project. I don’t recall what they are, but it is based on broad PRINCIPLES that most conservatives, libertarians and many democrats can embrace. Of course one of the top principles is a belief in a “higher power” or whatever he calls it so.....
We’ll never all agree on all things. Liberal’s have an easier time with that because they are brainwashed in so many ways. Conservatives are much more independent. So, we will all have to give and take.
An attorney friend was talking about some resolution of some corporate law thing that he had been working on for a long time. After months of talks, court battles, etc. he said it was resolved and both parties came away with something. But he said something like “Ya know, after all of the battles, all of the work, it’s good to have it done with an acceptable outcome for everyone. The trouble is that with a compromise, it seems like such a, .... well,... a compromise.”
What does “RINOs have 1st Amendment rights too” have to do with the price of eggs? See my previous post.
If we take back our party, they will have no choice but to ride a long.
The people who attack Palin are not the people we will look to for leadership
—Blacklist? Great idea. Freedom of speech is so over-rated.—
Exactly. An idiot tactic like this, would, to paraphrase Grover Norquist, shrink the GOP to a size where it could be drowned in a bathtub.
you can’t compromise with a Palin hater. they are scum.
—pretentious stupid white trash —
That is entirely uncalled for, but, the family life of the Alaskan first family is, sadly, rather tawdry.
Newt Gingrich has been running his trap lately. I thought he would have more intelligence to succumb to the leftist media
The policy should always be to promote YOUR candidate, not to crush his opponent (except the RAT, that should go without saying).
Seems to me that it would be a lot wiser to drive the liberals out of the party. The rest will take care of itself without naming Palin as a reason.
Keyboard political stragetist are fun to watch. Even some that promote the 3rd parties seem to forget what it takes to win on the national level and even at the state level. After all winning is necessary if one is to make changes.
How’s you mom doing on the road these days? Has the economic slow down been that noticeable to her?
*Palin Hater Alert”
As is your comment.
Mitt? Is that you?
Good point.
“Newt Gingrich has been running his trap lately.”
.... lately? LATELY? Newt hasn’t shut up... well, ever. He’s our Biden... and that’s not a good thing.

All that aside, we saw the result of McCain "taking the high road" in his campaign. I say we use whatever methods are both legal and effective to put a conservative in the White House in 2012.
Go troll another thread. or better yet, go back to the DailyKos.
—Mitt? Is that you?—
No. Unlike Mitt, I’m actually AGAINST same-sex “marriage.”
Those kinds of comments are uncalled for and frankly STUPID for any columnist to write. Good grief, what’s wrong with journalists today?
I’m all for taking it to the Dems but I am absolutely not sold on Palin at all. When the Obama admin is over this country will need big time fixes and there are too many better established Conservatives with as good or better resume’s. I like a lot about Palin but I’m not going to commit myself to her for the GOP nod in 2012, now in April of 2009. Way too much can happen.
And, by the way, its pretty insulting to hear anybody, even someone on my side of the fence, threaten to put me or anyone else on a blacklist if they happen to support someone other then Palin. Is this new loyalty requirement something I missed here on FR?
