Terrific voice for his age. I prefer to have this Iranian on TV rather than that mad dingbat Ahmadinejad.

He’s loud, and he can drag those flat notes out a long time, but I couldn’t listen to the whole thing. It hurt my ears.

The ‘X’ factor is the equal to American Idol.

Britain has talent is the equal to America’s got talent.

Picky, I know, But I wish that the professional types writing these articles would get it right, just once.....

I think on the timeline, it goes like this:

American Idol inspires Britain’s Got Talent, which then inspires America’s Got Talent.

I thought that this show was for amateurs. Shaheen Jafargholi has been on tour with a dance troupe.
I thought that the stopping of the first song by Simon demonstrated that it was completely orchestrated.
Fail.

It looked staged to me. They just happened to have another song they cued up??? Maybe they do come in with a couple of songs to choose from but the whole think seemed fake.

But I am a cynic.

As someone who only sees the occasional Youtube (no tv in over a decade), I cn tell you that my impression of this video is that it was clearly staged. “Different” and “surprise” is what ratings are all about.

The first song sucked. Only an utter moron would have chosen that one up front.

"It looked staged to me."

When it comes to pop culture, everything is staged---all the way down to "wardrobe malfunctions".

Turkey has it's own version of this that I think is called "Turks with Talent". Pardon my inability to hyperlink, but THIS is entertainment:

That's almost the same thing I posted when I first saw it. Totally staged!

They all begin in the UK.

Pop Idol begat American Idol.

Pop Idol then became X Factor

Britain’s Got Talent begat America’s Got Talent.

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, Weakest Link and Deal Or No Deal also began in the UK...

Trust me, I was in the UK for a great deal of time beginning in the early 90’s....I saw them all...

Also, Who’s Line Is It, Anyway? wasn’t created by Drew Carey...

;-)

Damn. YouTube is blocked at work.

I figured I'd do a google image search and see if this Shaheen Jafargholi's picture would invoke laughter, but he just looks like some 11 year old Turk kid.

Then, I looked a little further, and saw a whole bunch of screen shots of something called "Torchwood Guide". I had no idea what that was, but it was distinctly unsatisfying.

Then, I did a google image search for "Japanese Bikini Model" and this is what came up:

Sometimes, it pays to just cut to the chase.
