A Juneau reader, and fan of Governor Palin (a rare breed in Juneau, I'm sure), tells me that the man behind the movement to close down Piper Palin's lemonade stand is one Chip Thoma.
Mr. Thoma leads a group of Juneau residents who are just "sick and tired" of the Palins and the tours that are conducted to the governor's mansion (something that has been occurring in Juneau since the first governor took office). It seems that Governor Palin is so popular with tourists that thousands of people are walking from the docks to the governor's mansion in an attempt to catch a glimpse of the first family. Mr. Thoma feels that this -- along with Piper Palin's lemonade stand, trampoline and buoy swing -- is "bringing down the neighborhood." It seems that Mr. Thoma doesn't enjoy the Palin children very much. Grinch.

And I am sure this guy wrote a leter to the Obama’s complaining about the swing set they put up for their girls and the garden they planted on WH property. Speaking of which, we haven’t heard much lately about how their garden doth grow!! Perhaps with silver bells and cockle shells and one damn weed!

Oh believe me..what I would love to do to this guy would get me arrested..so I totally hear ya. Ya think the media will have this guy investigated..HAHA who am I kidding right..they will probably end up investigating to see if Piper reported her lemonade earnings to the IRS. It’s a shame that Sarah has to take care of idiots like this in her state.

I want to know if Piper has a work permit, because I think she’s only 14 or 15? Also, does she have workman’s comp. insurance, does she have the proper business licenses, of course, does she report her earnings, and pay the payroll taxes, and does she have an environmental impact statement for her business, and is she in violation of zoning laws by running a business in a residential area. There are so many issues to be resolved. I hope that the MSM are planning to descend on Alaska again to investigate the Palin family.

(Following the lead of Perez Hilton) you just know that some RAT is looking into the question of whether Piper has falsies and has want to know if she has posed for lingerie ads. And not just for the purpose of destroying her.
She needs to get new sneakers for the next photo op.

The record of the Alaska Public Safety Information Network (APSIN), a computer system which contains comprehensive criminal records, indicates that inquiries were made concerning Thoma's criminal history on May 7 and May 9, 1991. The record does not show who made the inquiries. A printout of Thoma's criminal record was circulated among the governor's aides.
Thoma's convictions are a matter of public record. The court records in Juneau show two DWI convictions in 1979 and a 1985 cocaine conviction. Thoma was convicted of two additional DWIs in Oregon.
