Obama OUT OF TOUCH--->Pushing Immigration Amnesty
American Spectator/The Lid ^ | 5/11/09 | The Lid

A major Issue where John McCain lost support of the American People was Immigration reform. The year before he ran for president, he worked with Ted Kennedy and President Bush to develop a comprehensive immigration bill that included just about everything except protecting our borders. The bill failed miserably because Americans on both sides of the aisle because Americans wanted their government to secure the US borders before they addressed any other issues.

President Obama and his leftist allies that illegal immigration is a racial issue. They believe that those of us who want to protect the US boarders are inspired by racism, trying to keep out Hispanics. Recent cases such as the Hezbollah Mole in the CIA case (Nada Nadim Prouty) and the terrorists targeting Army base after sneaking over the borders, highlight the reasons the United States needs true immigration reform without amnesty. How many others are out there-not to gather information but to launch terror attacks when the time is right. It is more difficult to launch an attack when you can't get in the country

Despite the feelings of the American People, President Obama continues to march this country toward an open border/immigration amnesty disaster:

Obama isn't out of touch... he is just securing future election victories for the Democrat party.

And sadly on the issue of shamnesty the stupid GOP is 100% in agreement.

Just stealing the jobs Americans used to have

You are right about the electoral politics, packing the voter roles with ignorants, Hugo Chavez style. It's the same with everything the progressives do.

Obama voted for McCain-Kennedy in 2007. They have the same positions on amnesty. We were offered an echo, not a choice, on immigration in 2008. McCain will help Obama pass an amnesty bill. They won’t call it amnesty, but rather “getting to the back of the line” and an “earned path to citizenship.” If passed, America will be destroyed with the stroke of a pen.

Sadly, a few on this forum have drank that Kool-Aid.

WHERE DID THE MONEY TO PAY FOR BARRY’S COLLEGE COME FROM?

His mother certainly didn’t have the funds to pay for his college education. At the time Obama left for Occidental Colege, his mother Stanley Ann was unemployed and living in Indonesia.

His grandparents may have been able to contribute some but they were disgusted with “Barry”. He had spent most of his senior year of high school partying, doing drugs and drinking. His grades were not good either. He and his grandparents frequently argued. Barry had told his grandmother that he hated the white side of his lineage.

Tuition, Room and board at Occidental was a little over $15,000 when Barry enrolled. That does not include travel to and from HI which was roughly $200 one way and incidental expenses.

Barry did not work in high school. He had no money saved for college.

His only support was from his grandparents. Stanley Ann could barely support herself and Barry’s siblings in Indonesia.

The Dunham’s income came from his grandmother’s bank job, approximately $24,000 per year and his grandfather’s job at a furniture store which was less than $13,000 per year.

The cost of living in HI is much higher than stateside.

Obama reverses stance on immigration Co-opts policy he once mocked By Stephen Dinan May 8, 2009 On the thorniest of political issues, President Obama has embraced the enforcement-first position on immigration that he criticized during last year's presidential campaign, and he now says he can't move forward with the type of comprehensive bill he wants until voters are convinced that the borders can be enforced.
