Michelle Obama's arms, we determined, were transformational. Her arms are representative of a new kind of woman: young, strong, vigorous, intelligent, accomplished, sexual, powerful, embracing and, most of all, loving.

This is a woman who has the courage to say "I am mom in chief" and make her children and her family -- unapologetically -- her No. 1 priority. She is able to do this because she is so intelligent and accomplished that she doesn't have to prove anything to anyone. She is healthy enough to be able to say, this is who I am, these are my values and my priorities.

As one of the guests pointed out toward the end of the lunch, when the first lady arrived she gave everyone a hug. With those arms. Michelle Obama, whatever her legacy, will certainly always be known as the first lady who made it acceptable for women, in so many ways, to exercise their "right to bare arms."

Sally makes it seem as if a mom putting her children as her number one priority is a rarity. What kind of world do these folks live in?

I've known women who were accurately decribed as having a beautiful face or a cute figure. I've known women who were less glamorous but still correctly and positively introduced as having a nice personality. Michelle Obama may be the first prominant woman for whom they are so desperate to find a positive description that wouldn't provoke laughter at its obvious lack of truth that they had to get creative:

"Not much to go on. Do we settle for nice earlobes or nice arms?"
"Considering Barack's ears, we don't want to go there. Let's go with the arms."

I’m also amazed at how many folks seem to think she has strong arms. I believe David Brooks, weenie at the NYT, commented that she ought to hide her ‘big guns’.

I see toothpick arms. Ann Coulter could beat her in an arm wrestling match.

It is appalling that these DC folks are amazed at a mother putting her kids first, or thinking Michelle does so. Putting them first - like she did campaigning for the last two years and occasionally stopping by Chicago to see them? Who raised her kids for the last 2 years?

Michelle’s own history is one of a restless ambitious unhappy insecure petulant demanding b..ch. The PR campaign is in for a rough haul over the next 4 years, no matter what the promised payola has been to turn Aunt Esther into a stepford wife.

The MSM consider themselves the watchdogs of democracy, yet they give us this worshipful pap about a woman of very slim accomplishments and ordinary intelligence and ordinary looks. They never ask about things like her former $300,000 "community relations" job with the hospital in Chicago, or any number of other things that they would have looked into if she'd been a Republican.

In this photo...

...her forearms look like those of a concentration camp survivor. Look how bony her elbows are, and how the bones protrude. Her arms are actually out of proportion. Her upper arms are much larger than what her forearms should be. They don't match.
