"They were at bmahead’s door last month....marking it with GPS."

Does bamahead live in a city, suburb or otherwise [fairly] populated area?

I'm so far out in the sticks they'd better make sure their gas tank's capped off, and, wearing goulashes.

Even if they did persevere once and fail, would they try a second time under the circumstances? Only a nut would know, granted.

But maybe I wouldn't answer the door? I don't recognize a caller at my door? The caller's not dignified with an answer. Period.

People who live in places such as I do so for a reason, same as my 10 neighbors within the 10 mile radius of our spread live here.
The really rural Wisconsinites, they're like that my friend.

In any event.
IF the nutz really had to they could use Google Earth and charge zerO & Co the full rate.

After all they're nothing more than garden variety thieves. Lying a slam dunk second nature reflex action so billing for services not rendered a behavior that'd come quite naturally. ;^)

I am doing the opposite of ACORN as a census worker (I am inviting conservative fellows I run across out here to after “Tea Party” meeings)..Annonymous.

That’s correct, and if ANYONE asks you anything more than the physical mailing address (and if you are renting with to anyone on your property), then they MIGHT be doing something wrong (unless it’s just small talk) or you run into a conservative census taker like me and get into a conversation!

...Got that question also, they weren't concerned with number of persons in the “house”...

...No worries, been paranoid for 40 years. Justifiably so...

Ted Nugent wrote these lyrics for this song on his debut solo album, released in 1975. At the time, I thought he was talking about Nixon. Doh!

Stormtroopin’

In the early morning hours there’s a din in the air;
mayhem’s on the loose.
Stormtroopers comin’, and you better be prepared.
Got no time to choose.

Get ready. Stormtroopers comin’.

Comin’ up that street, jackboots steppin’ high.
Got to make a stand.
Looking in your windows and listen to your phone.
Keep a gun in your hand.

Get ready. Stormtroopers comin’.
Get ready. Stormtroopres comin’ around.

Two hundred down, and it’s comin’ ‘round again.
Got no second choice.
Where’s the justice and where’s that law.
Raise your healthy voice.

Get ready. Stormtroopers comin’.
We’ll be ready. Stormtroopers comin’.
Getting ready. Stormtroopers comin’.
Get ready. Stormtroopers comin’.

A few years ago I got a census supplement form in the mail. I answered something about it being none of their business and some other choice words in red ink.

Over the next few months I had three personal follow up visits from census workers.

The third time was when I answered my door with my Mossberg 500.

He turned and walked off briskly.

They have not been back since.

Yeah, I live in the Atlanta suburbs. In one of the more conservative, residential areas.

I walked outside and this guy was GPS tagging my front door. He didn’t ask me any questions, but he handed me his little FedGov card that said he was with the Census and that I was bound by law to cooperate. He was an older gentleman, probably mid 60’s, retired, definitely not looking or acting like an ACORN thug, he wasn’t overly pushy or anything.

I just asked what exactly he was doing and if they were doing this everywhere, and he said ‘Yes sir’. I asked him if he knew anything about the purpose behind it, and he just said, ‘not really’, and moved on.

Is there some Constitutional way that the states can curtail some of this nonsense such as gps the houses? Is that necessary?
