Qualye never got to defend himself because the Bushes and RINOs don’t fight. They are big tent uniters aka LOSERS. Palin with a shotgun and bear rug has bigger testes than 99% of the typical RINO loser.

Time will tell about Ma Palin. She has yet to be subjected to a national primary, state by state.

Please don't anyone tell Matthews that Ted Sorenson wrote JFK's Profiles in Courage and that Barack Obama likely had a ghost writer also, one whom many suspect is mad bomber Bill Ayers. It might chill that thrill going up Matthews' leg.

And, don't forget that Hitlery's, "It Takes a Village" was written by, well, a village.

Good article.

Vichy Republican

Methinks we need a new designation behind the names of politicians beyond (D), (R), and (I): (VR).

What's more, a village that didn't get paid...

Sarah Palin is much more..personable? Then fmr VP Quayle was, and that adds a great deal to her appeal, she also has walked the walk on pro family issues even to her own hurt.

In a political landscape full of fakes and phonies, Gov Palin is a bit of fresh, artic air blowing across the lower 48 states.

As for the Vichy Republicans, they can try to destroy her personally, they cannot engage her argument, and they know it.

Even Kennedy’s senior thesis, which was later published was ghost written. Pretty much everything we were told about Jack Kennedy was a lie/half-truth , although there is no doubting his personal charm and intelligence. But, heck, probably George Clooney was as well qualified to be president.

The smear campaign being waged by the left against Gov. Sarah Palin has been a reactive defense, or pre-emptive attack from the moment she made her acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention last year.

The fact that it has continued beyond the election of Precedent Obama is solid evidence that the left considers her the most dangerous politician in America.

I agree with everything said here. However, at the same time, Sarah Palin had BETTER be spending her free time out of sight DEVOUERING briefing papers from every conservative organization she can get her hands on, sleeping with the Encyclopedia, and reading Hayek, Buckley, Milton Freedman, etc. When Palin next emerges on the national scene -- and she cannot wait too long -- she needs to fry the news media's hairdos into a smoking ruin with her knowledge of politics, government, economics, and world affairs.

She was caught completely by surprise by McCain last Summer.

Next time she emerges, she will have the entire nation's attention. If she is prepared to blow people out of the water with her command of the issues, government, economics, and world affairs... the White House is hers for the asking.

If she has been wasting her time frittering around, the liberal "Views Media" will slaughter her.

Watching that video proved to me once again, who had the Gravitas in that fight!

It sure wasn’t McCain!

Excellent post.

We should not make the mistake of thinking the media attacks on Sarah have no effect.

Given sufficient time to work, they become the conventional wisdom and are extremely difficult to overcome.

For some reason I’ve never figured out, such attacks just bounced off Reagan, but they have been quite effective against many other Republicans, notably GW. Although GW was in many ways his worst enemy when it came to PR, there is no question the media onslaught was highly unfair to him and his policies.

Sarah needs to not only get her facts and figures straight, she needs to learn methods of counter-attacking aggressive interviewers. She could do a lot worse than watch Cheney’s interviews over the last couple months. But hopefully she will also be getting some professional advice and training.

Those who question Sarah’s intelligence need to be reminded that the so called “smarted people in the country” got us into this mess. We need leaders with integrity who love our country and will put our country first above their own needs.

"watch Cheney’s interviews ..." - Lynn Cheney's at that! I LOVED watching her smackdown of Nora O'Donnell on MSPUKEBC - she learned well from her dad and not just didn't give an inch - she constantly challenged the premises with authority, clarity and gravitas.

Oh for the day when Sarah smacks down Perky Katie AND Charlie Gibson!! I will sit back and laugh!

Umm, I do believe Lynne is Dick’s wife, not his daughter.

Thanks.
