Thanks to my mother-in-law, commenter VinceP1974 and @JenFidel via Twitter for alerting me to the fact that Rush Limbaugh highlighted this blog post of mine about Colin Powell and Tom Ridge on his nationally-syndicated programme yesterday.
With an estimated 13.5 million listeners a week, Limbaugh is the most popular talk radio host in America. Here's what he said, according to the transcript on his site:
RUSH: Interesting piece - it's a blog - by Toby Harnden at the UK Telegraph. The headline of his piece here: "What Right Do Colin Powell and Tom Ridge Have to Lecture the Republican Party?" Now, these are the questions of a British blogger who reports out of the United States. Who cares what Powell and Ridge think/believe?
It is the medias that are hyping this. Ignore the whole thing. So much trivia of no import whatsoever. MO
He no longer draws 20million a week?
It's a UK Blog.
Maybe he's converted the number to pounds sterling.
I have a sneeking suspicion that most of Rush's "stack of stuff" is discovered on this site.
Time and time again I will be reading an article here when lo and behold, he starts reading it on his show.
As far as I know, this is probably a cornucopia (huh?) of news articles from home and abroad..........
FR is the best site on the internet
Spend the morning on FR and you will, guaranteed, know what Rush will talk about in the afternoon.
It even applies to the little human interest stories from out-of-the-way corners.
Read FR for the news, listen to Rush for the commentary.
FR is show prep for a lot of talk radio.
It’s a UK Blog.
Maybe he’s converted the number to pounds sterling.
LOL, that’s hilarious!
