Really? Isn't Santa Clara Country somewhere up around San Francisco? One would think that that's *real* liberal country...the kind of place where a woman,with or without justification,would be able to pick a husband clean in divorce court.
Yeah we are up north. Since around 1992 Santa Clara County has taken the approach that the house will either be sold ( regardless of state law requiring maintenance of original domicile if there are minor children) or whoever can afford the mortgage gets the house. PLUS California is a community property state there really isn’t much”picking clean” that goes on in divorce court (unless you count the lawyers fees)
