Einstein like breakthrough in Climate Science (Part 1)
Examiner.com ^ | 5-31-2009 | Dianna Cotter

Posted on 05/31/2009 11:17:25 PM PDT by Danae

On May 19th MIT released a report that proves something.

They proved group think still exists. That's all they proved.

How can this be? Their model seems so all encompassing... The key lay in this phrase, "selected so that each run has about an equal probability of being correct based on present observations and knowledge", from MIT's recent publication.

Because they are using mathematical equations that have been found to be incorrect, they cannot get repeatable results that can be applied systemically to the entire Earth’s climate that matches the data actually recorded. They can only get a probability. This is the basis for all of the differing results in Climatology today; no two reports seem to be the same, anyone reading the headlines over the last 45 years can attest to this.

Because the solutions each group comes up with vary so widely, and because their models cannot be applied systemically, only one conclusion can be made: there is an error in the math somewhere. Somewhere basic and fundamental, that all of these learned scientists are using, that all of their calculations depend on as the foundation of their Science.

In 2007, Dr Ferenc Miskolczi found that error and corrected it.

Article includes an interview with Miklos Zagoni, a prominent Climatologist who was once an AGW (Anthropogenic Global warming) supporter, until The math got corrected. Congress is trying to pass legislation on what amounts to a hoax.

That’s because Congress - and zero - care about the legislation, or rather the power it will give them, not about the veracity of the science used to ram it down our throats...

Congress is trying to pass legislation on what amounts to a hoax.

NO NOT A HOAX

It is a CON.

The purpose of Cap and Trade is to collect taxes and funnel money from the trading system to Democratic Party loyalist which will then be funneled back to Democrat candidates.

It is a con on the American People designed to perpetuate Democrat control of the US government.

I thought right away, "This article is an insane mish-mosh." Searched on Ferenc Miskolczi and found this .

What to believe? What to believe?

I repeat my mantra: There's plenty to be skeptical about in the Global Warming agenda without going off the deep end.

I would love for someone to ask Zagoni if he has learned to be more humble when it comes to making 'scientific' predictions. People like him need to have their former belief in AGW thrown in their faces for the rest of their lives.

Based on 'science' that contradicted what can be seen with our own eyes, he was prepared to force people to undergo monumental changes in how they live their lives in order to combat a problem that has never existed. If he has a conscience that is something he should be ashamed of.

Dr. Miskolczi has taken a great deal of heat for being right, mostly because he is the fly in the ointment. His Math is what matters and that’s what the AWG bastards count on, the avergage laypersons lack of knowledge on higher maths and physics. They are playing off of peoples ignorance. Quite deliberately.

I have had a fairly extensive conversation with the man. He is patient, answered every question I put to him, and once he realized his error, he immediately changed the side of the fence he was on. He does conferences now in support of Miskolvczi’s theories. Hes one of the good guys. He found he was wrong, admitted it and went about correcting it! Good for him I say!

Well, try reading the article. What do you make of it?

My adviser in grad school made the same remark about all the scientific journals - "Never believe anything." It's all presented for your consideration. Why would you assume that one Ferenc Miskolczi is absolutely to be trusted?

That’s a monumental mistake he made. A mistake on the scale in other professions would be a career-ender and in some professions, such as airline pilots or the military, it might be a life-ender. Has he learned at all to be humble about the limits of his ‘scientific expertise’?

Science is a profession not a religious order. People are allowed to change their minds when the evidence convinces them. In science, it's okay if you're not right at first.

Hungarian physicist paper that basically claims that there is a natural feedback that puts earth temperature back at its equilibrium level. The mechanism is changes in water vapor greenhouse and evaporative transport that offset any initial displacement from other greenhouse gases. Argues that the water vapor cycle alone would be able to produce run-away warming without any CO2 displacement, if this feedback weren't always there.

It's funny that you mention religion because scientists like Zagoni actually do seem to be acting like religious believers. They went out on a football-length limb in support of their belief in AGW when they didn't even have a repeatable model or a scientific explanation that matched real-world observations.

Excellent post, thanks

Dr Zagoni:"They [IPCC Climatologists] regard one specific parameter (opacity of the atmosphere]) to be infinite in a specific approximation, according to an old and still unrecognized math error in the history of radiative transfer. Miskolczi revealed that error, gave the correct mathematical and physical solution, and the referred quantity became finite [specific] in his hands, and he became able to calculate its value correctly. His calculation proved that with finite opacity (or transparency ... leads to constrained greenhouse effect and constrained greenhouse surface temperatures because cooling (exactly because of this transparency) is possible on the required level.”

Dianna Cotter: In laypersons terms, this means that Earth’s atmosphere is a balanced system at equilibrium. This is demonstrated by the simple and unavoidable fact that we still have an atmosphere. If the system could not find an equilibrium, the air we breathe would have been long gone millions if not billions of years ago when CO2 and other greenhouse gasses were at levels far greater than they are today.

FACTS: 1) greenhouse gases are not evil, they are essential to keeping the earth warm enough for humans; 2) the most common greenhouse gas is water vapor; 3) CO2 is not pollution, it is essential for plants and humans; 4) CO2 is only a trace element in the atmosphere at 380 parts per million; 5) humans and their activities account for only 3% of CO2 emissions each year; 6) the earth has had cycles of cooling and warming about every 1,500 years due to variations in the sun’s activity and our orbit around the sun; 7) these cycles are beyond human control; 8) about 1,000 years ago, Greenland had vineyards; 9) the earth is cooling now, not warming relative to prior decades; and 10) a major reduction of sun spots in recent years suggests a coming mini ice age.

I can hear Ronald Reagan now, effectively communicating the facts to the public in fewer words than I have used above. Many people are very skeptical of the pagan religion called “global warming”; they just need more information to tilt the scales in favor of sanity on this issue.

If more people knew how much damage Cap & Trade will do to our economy, they would be shouting their disapproval. But apparently most voters don’t even know what Cap & Trade is all about.

Here’s how the cap & trade legislation will adversely impact our entire economy and standard of living:

Gerry Browning debunked the modellers years ago.

See “Gerry Browning: Numerical Climate Models”

“Recently (BAMS, 2004), it has been shown that a climate model also deviates from reality in a matter of hours because of the errors in the parameterizations (not unexpected based on result above) and over longer periods of time the effectively larger viscosity causes the numerical solution to produce a spectrum quite different than the real atmosphere unless forced in a nonphysical manner.” http://www.climateaudit.org/?p=674

In other words, the models veer violently into unreality after running for a few hours. The modellers cheat by selection, and by unrealistic adjustments. Frauds the lot of them. Sue me if you dare.

If global warming is true the scientific establishment would be screaming to replace coal & natural gas plants with nukes, to save the Klamath River hydo plants (rather than rip them down), to eliminate traffic snarls especially artificial ones like toll roads, and to encourage telecommuting by exempting businesses from OSHA requirements for home offices.

They don't do those things so we can conclude anthropogenic global warming is not true.

So why the fuss? As Obamamites like to say, "don't waste a crisis", and that applies to phony ones too.

Its called the Waxman-Markley Energy bill and the main premise of that bill is to TAX CARBON and make fuel so expensive that we won’t be able to buy it anymore and thereby reduce emissions. Thats why this is a big deal. Carbon Dioxide cannot repeat CANNOT cause global warming.

They are going to tax something with a specific intent which will never happen, AND is literally the air we breathe and plants need to grow.

This is not gonna just go idly by on my watch.
