DUmmie FUnnies 06-09-09 (DUmmie Complains To Macy's Manager About Running Fox News) IMPORTANT!!!
DUmmie FUnnies ^ | June 9 | DUmmies and PJ-Comix

Posted on 06/09/2009 6:00:13 AM PDT by PJ-Comix

Last week we SAW how the DUmmies were getting all excited about a remote control device that could shut off TV sets that were running Fox News. But what happens when the DUmmie leaves the room? Most likely the TV will revert to Fox News since it is by far the most popular cable news channel out there. Therefore, the DUmmies have to work even harder to keep folks from watching Fox News. One way is what a certain DUmmie did as chronicled in his THREAD, "I just complained to a Macy's manager about having Fox News on their TVs." This censorship matter is of such importance to the DUmmies that it currently sits at the very top of their "Greatest" page. So let us now watch the DUmmies get obsessed that people out there are watching Fox News in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, noting that Macy's will probably now get requests to turn the channel BACK to Fox news is in the [brackets]:

I just complained to a Macy's manager about having Fox News on their TVs.

[Congrats! You just earned your DUmmie Webelo badge for censorship.]

I was shopping on Saturday in a San Diego Macy's and noticed that outside the fitting rooms were small TV monitors and a seating area for -- I guess -- bored husbands waiting for their wives to finish shopping. Fox News was on. I changed the channel to a game show. Apparently, it was programmed so those were the only two choices. I went into a different department and there it was again. I changed it again.

[Can't risk the possibility of even one contrary view entering the public domain.]

I didn't bother a saleswoman about it; there were so few on the floor anyway, and they don't have any authority. This morning I called and spoke with a manager who both agreed with me that it was propaganda, and also said she would tell the store manager about my complaint and try to make sure that Fox News was taken off the channel selection.

[Hmmm... Thanx for the info. Now we know that it was the San Diego Macy's and that they have a leftwing manager who has agreed to censor Fox News from their TV sets. How much you want to bet that your dopey post will end up having the OPPOSITE effect that you intended. Any DUFU fans in the San Diego area want to check out the Macy's there and see if they actually acceded to the demand of a crazed censorious DUmmie?]

Every little bit helps, I hope.

[Your little bit by posting your censorious activity in the open will help us to counteract it. Thanx. And now on to the other Fox-obsessed DUmmies...]

You are fantastic for doing that.

[Yes, thanx for posting out in the open so we can check to see if the San Diego Macy's gives in to your censorship attempt.]

his is par for the course most places... Honestly almost any place I go with public tv's tuned to news channels, it's always fox news. Stores, the gym, lunch rooms at business places....

[DANGER! DANGER! Contrary views breaking out all over!]

When I was working at Cymer in San Diego, ...the TV's in the lunch room where always on the Fox News Channel. All the TV's were being fed off of a DirecTV box that was locked in a cabinet, but lucky for me the cabinet had glass doors. So, I purchased a cheap Universal Remote control, and programmed it for the DirecTV box. Everyday my friends and I would sneak the remote into the cafeteria and find a seat relatively in front of the video cabinet, and secretly change the channel to something other then FNC, usually CNN or MSNBC, sometimes ESPN.

[A member of the Thought Police proudly recounts one of his "accomplishments."]

Same at Wells Fargo ~ I'll complain next time

[Better start a list.]

That is how you do it, talk directly to the store manager, good job. I did this at the local Hospital, why they needed Fox news or any TV on in the waiting room was beyond me, and the next time I took the wife it wasn't on Fox news.

[Talk directly to the store manager. Post it in DUmmieland so it will be DUFUed. Then watch as the San Diego Macy's is forced to return to the Fox News channel once again by a public outraged by them agreeing to be censored...if they did.]

I did the same at a BOFA branch. They play CNN now. Gotta make the noise.

[Please post which BOFA branch so we can complain about them giving in to censorship demands.]

Tell them that you don't approve of pornography -- and Faux News IS political pornography. And thanks for taking action. I have in the past complained, and some businesses have changed the station, at least temporarily.

[Temporarily until the loon walked out of the room.]

Now you are talking....It is this kind of vigilance that pays off...If enough of us do it. When I was in the local hospital the same thing happened to me....they now have cnn on all the time which isn't a whole lot better but its a step.

[The Thought Police have their own Vigilance Committees.]

I complained about Fox News being on in our bank branch. Now they're tuned to CNN all day.

[You too have earned your DUmmie Webelo badge for censorship.]

my partner has done similar, at the Honda dealership. I'll encourage him to post about it...

[Be sure to include which Honda dealership branch. Hee! Hee!]

they play that crap at the Macys in the Los Angeles area also and i have seen it at that waiting room area just outside the dressing rooms.

[I'm guessing that a lot of crybabying DUmmies will turn up at the Macy's in L.A. today.]

My Macy's runs FOX outside it's dressing rooms, too. Do all Macy's exclusively show FOX?

[Uh-oh! I'm seeing a nationwide Thought Police assault on Macy's today.]

It will be interesting to see if FOX is still on their TV's when you go back. It is bad business to risk offending customers with propaganda. They should have known better.

[I want the San Diego Macy's to KEEP Fox News on their TV sets just to watch DUmmie heads explode.]

I just got back from a trip in Missouri and a couple different McDonalds had a big flat-screen on the wall with Fox News blaring. Anyone else ever seen it in a McDonalds?

[GASP! A couple of Mickey D's in Missouri slipped through the DUmmie Thought Police net!]

Good for you! There is enough viewers tuning in without the help of retailers. We do not need to have anymore people corrupted, influenced or brainwashed.

[Note to DUFU fans: DUmmie heads are SURE to explode if the San Diego Macy's continues to run Fox News. Will they fight this censorship attempt? It will be interesting to find out. Here is a LIST of the four San Diego Macy's along with their phone numbers]

Same here. I used to love the Rich's department store in Savannah, Georgia but since Macy's bought them out there's nothing there I need or want. The first year it wasn't too bad but every subsequent time I went the quality and prices got worse. I can find better things at Dillard's or Belk.

You are precisely correct about the "path of least resistance" above because the manager thankfully doesn't even need to do anything. If the crazed DUmmie visits the store again and complains, the manager can simply say:

"...What! That terrible Fox News propaganda is on again? Down with George W. Bush! Who switched the channel? When I find that darn guilty employee, they are in BIG trouble..."

Afterward the DUmmie departs the retailer in a huff, the store manager and employees can have another good laugh at his/her expense. This is a really funny one! :-)

What, no Bob Ross?

The channel I demand on all televisions is the Universe of Mellow Bob Ross Entertainment (UMBRE). Otherwise, I complain, boycott, and picket.

I'm surprised you don't use Twitter.

I have enough trouble keeping up with the technology I already have! I am by nature a Luddite. I try to wait several years after the "next new thing," to see if it "takes," before I use it. I waited till 1987 to get a computer, till 1997 to get the Internet, and till 2005 to get a cell phone. I know how to browse the Internet and send e-mails, and that's enough for me. I don't do Twister or MyFace or Spacebook or any of those newfangled thingies.

Good for you. I joined Facebook a month or so ago because I found a number of friends and relatives on there. But other than posting links to my website, my Kiwanis website, a jazz site and such, I haven't figured out what it's for. It seems kinda silly.

I'm not one to post what I did today, or how many trips to the bathroom I've made (none of your business...), so I really don't see a whole lot of value. But, I'll leave it go for now.

But, there's way too much in-your-face idiocy on the web as it is. I don't need to contribute more.

I hate to tell you this, but there is no such thing as a “Webelo”!

It’s “WEBELOS” in caps, because it stands for “We be loyal scouts”

I was in scouts for like 12 years and a 40 merit badger Eagle Scout, so I am an authority! You can take that to the bank! :)

Otherwise... GOOD JOB on nailin’ them DUMMIES!

Guess what? With the introduction of the new I-Phone, you can now get the earlier version for just 99 bucks. I plan to even though I don't think I can use it with my MetroPCS plan. What I will do is use the Wi-Fi to connect to the web via the I-Phone. I can't wait.

As to Twitter and Facebook, I think you will find them very useful for any future Lutheran uprisings. Quick communication with the people you want to communicate with. Like I said, Twitter can be very boring or a fantastic research tool if you use it right.

I don't post that stuff. Basically I post the DUFUs and my NewsBusters stories. I have some very influential friends on my friends list so the word gets out there.

BTW, did you know that yesterday O'Reilly was quoting from my NB story about the co-founder of CNN griping about Fox News?

Hmmm.... I notice this DUmmie thread is no longer on the “Greatest” page at all. From the very top of the Greatest page to not anywhere on there just hours later. It doesn’t happen that quick so I think Skinner got worried about how ridiculous the DUmmies were looking and removed it from anywhere on the “Greatest” page.

No, but did he give credit?

I don't watch O'Reilly. I really don't watch much Fox News (or other televised news) to speak of. I get my news here.
