No class! No class!
In the Middle East, it's deemed offensive to show the soles of one's shows to a person and the fact that this is an official White House photograph, not a candid press shot, was thought to be a sign of disrespect.
As Don Surber points out, the Israelis have a lot more to worry about from Obama than just this photograph. Obama appears ready to toss them under the bus as he cozies up to the crazies in Iran and elsewhere.
The bigger issue for me is Obama's attitude towards the office of President, which he shows in the Oval Office by putting his shoes up on the Resolute Desk, a certified museum piece and part of the history we share with Great Britain.
A brief history of the desk is here. In short, it was made from timbers of a British ship that Americans rescued in the Arctic and refitted as a gift to Queen Victoria. When the ship was decommissioned the desk was made and presented as a gift to the President of the United States by Queen Victoria in 1888.

Is that a hole in his shoe? And his wife is serving pork and beans to homeless people in $500 shoes?
Hussein and Mao-shelle desecrate the sacred place that is the White House just by their very presense there.
I'm not defending Obama, but I'm sure worse things were put there during Clinton's term.
He is a pig. The self described ‘gifted’ one, our own blue lipped special.
If I didn’t need talk radio and the blogs/internet to get the truth about what was going on with the Boy King, I swear I’d turn them off altogether, because every day, a new outrage that will NEVER be reported.
He is a narcissic, ignorant, affirmative action piece of crap who has never possessed anything that resembles class and that goes for his wife Angela Davis, too.
This is a pretty obvious signal to Obama’s mussie buds about what he really thinks of the Jews.
“Is that a hole in his shoe”
Is that a-hole in the oval office? ;)
Obama deserves to do what he wants since it is racist to suggest otherwise. The “brotha” has got to get what is due to him. 400 planes, 150 million dollar inauguration, appointments to all his friends as “czar” of this and that, Broadway shows...
Here’s another: http://www.chowchow.at/en/breed/the-blue-tongue.shtml
agree, lormand. The libs have everyone cowering and afraid to criticize either Zero or Sotomayor for fear of being branded as racists: White Guilt is a powerful deterrent that the left covets.
LOL-—very cute but the ChowChow is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY to wondrous to be compared to the big eared blue lipped liar.
Is that a hole in his shoe?
No it’s an a-hole wearing shoes.
> “In the Middle East, it’s deemed offensive to show the soles of one’s shows[sic]...”
I was under the impression that this was an artifact of Muslim/Islamic society rather than the Middle East in general. No?
Beat me to it! Funny!
Looks like he stepped in gum to me.
That hole in the shoe is not in a normal spot you’d normally see. Most normal people will have one on the heal or ball of the foot.
His appears by the big toe. Either from putting out too many cigarettes or a flaming twirling ballet session.
oh c’mon! do you honestly think that no other president has ever in the history of that desk proped his feet up on it. it is a desk...just a desk. antiques are only valuable (imo)if they are used for the purpose for which they are designed. what is the point of owning a 200 yr. old chair if you never sit in it. that isn’t a chair its a dusting dammit and should be in a museum. the resolute desk is a DESK where someone works. some guy sits behind that desk and does his job (hopefully) and i bet every one of the guys who have sat there have propped their feet on the thing.
One’s a mangy mutt, one’s not.
