Skip to comments.Do not be taken in by the "Born again American," effort...it's a ruse and false flag

The "Born Again American" campaign, despite a really nice song...and most of the words to it...is a ruse and a false flag operation.
I was emailed their site by a conservative friend who had received it from someone else. I watched the video of the song. A really nice tune, and most of the lyrics...but I was taken back by one phrase in the chorus.
Instead of saying "My Country tis of Thee," they used the term, "My Country tios of Me." This bothered me and caused me to go through the site in more detail before singing the "Plkedge".
I am glad I did.
One of the links on the site, under the "Take the Next Step" section which I wnt to out of order (so note, they do not ask you to do that until after you would have signed their pledge and donated money), is to a place to "Learn more about your Freedoms."
This links takes you to one of the major sponsors and partners of the effort, an organization called, "People for the American Way,".
People of the American Way is a leftist site that is upset over Prop 8 in California, which I supported, is excited about Obama's nomination of Sotomayor, which I oppose, and it dedicated to "fighting and exposing" the right...people with traditional values like me.
So, take note and warning and educate your friends who may be taken in by this effort. It is attempting to gather donations and active support from the very people who would be opposed to its underlying initiatives.
As a result, I have let my friend and other know that I cannot and will not sign on to a delcaration since I view it as a false flag operation funded by people who hold views and promote initiatives that I am diamterically opposed to, who are gathering money from people who (many of them at least) would not be supportinve of their initiatives but are being sucked in by a really neat media campaign, and which effort represent not a return to traditional American vlaues, but a departure from them.
Probably ought to send them this article too:
I ask for something in writing first, too, and they never have a policy of sending out written material without a pledge first.
They lose any chance of getting anything out of me that way. It just screams *scam* at me.
We donate to whom we choose to, not because someone comes by with their hand out.
We have more than enough people...we just need to get direct and stand up, and we need to get those we know to stand with us.
That's the problem and there are more than enough if we will simply stand.
Our forefathers had this same problem and they spent a couple of decades trying to wrangel with tyrants before they ultimately stood.
We are indeed at a pivotal crossroads in our nation's history. A very steep, very hard and dangerous roads leads one way...an abject fatal precipice leads the other.
Thanks for those links. Post #15 and your response were excellent, as were many other contributions to that thread. Good thread. I am beginning to believe, however, that the most important point made was right there in Noumenon’s tag line.
Thanks for the ping!
Nice video. I especially liked the Arab and the Jew at Mt. Rushmore.............
I remember when People For the American Way was created, its sole purpose was to oppose the Moral Majority. Six years later (1986), the Rev. Jerry Falwell dissolved the Moral Majority, saying that it was no longer needed. So why is the PAW still around?
bump to the top
thank you for the heads up
Exactly. I give to 700 Club sometimes, March of Dimes or Cancer Society but not always. Salvation Army, Rescue Mission, and other Christian groups we try to support, esp. around the holidays.
My main answer to my lefty acquaintances who say Christ would have wanted us to do this (whatever it is at the time) is
YES, but as a church or as an individual believer, a good Samaritan... and I will contribute privately to these causes, not via taxes.
He did not advocate the government taking over the roll of the church and the roll of God in our lives. He did not advocate the government becoming God.
“Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar’s and unto God the things that are God’s”
“You cannot serve God and mammon.”
“I am the Lord Thy God. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.”
When you read about the guy who wrote the thing, he indicates that the Bill of rights is meant to be his Bible.
Bottom line...they have put together a good production, good music, catchy tune...and lyrics that at first grab you., and couple it with a pledge that sounds good, but the donations and time you spend are going to be going toward a leftist agenda that is meant to tear dwon traditional America.
When I first heard that line, I took it to mean taking personal responsibility for keeping the country safe and prosperous. Now it takes on a new more sinister meaning. As in it's all about "Me".
Here is another link with more detailed info on the creators.
Oops, that’s not from “America the Beautiful”, but simply “America”.
