Bill O'Reilly Vs. Joan Walsh: the Shootout
The Provocateur ^ | 06/13/2009 | Mike Volpe

Posted on 06/13/2009 5:36:19 PM PDT by fiscon1

Ms. Walsh was one of the chief critics that accused of having some responsibility for the killing of Dr. George Tiller. Most O'Reilly critics would never actually criticize him to his face so she definitely gets credit for coming in and facing the fire.

The debate started with a critical question from O'Reilly. Does Ms. Walsh believe that a fetus in the third trimester have any rights? It took her a long time to answer the question but ultimately she believes that no fetus has any rights at any time.

His arguments on this topic are getting really old IMO. If it’s legal, it’s legal. You can’t say “you should’ve stopped because it was wrong” if it’s legal. He’s wearing out that mantra to the point that I’ve started changing the channel.

Slavery was legal. Should we not have stopped it?

Of course you can say that, as people have said that in the past. There is a difference between wrong and legal.

That’s not his argument. That’s Joan Walsh’s argument. He didn’t say that “you should have stopped it”. He said that everyone should condemn it. One reason why this process is still legal in some states is because not enough people are speaking out against it.

Slavery was also legal at one time, was exposing it as the horror it was wrong?

Abortion is murder, murder of the most defenseless, is exposing the horror that is late term partial birth abortion wrong because it is legal.

More Americans oppose abortion than support it. They should speak out against it with their votes.

Arrogant something or other. He was in his prime on inside edition. Very poor representative for most things conservative. He loves it and the check I’m sure.

Your argument happens to be immoral.
That is what the Nazis and the Communists and the Fascists always say!

Our country has become illegal, in many ways.

The laws themselves, are not legal, if you apply the Constitution to them.

I am NO fan of Bill O’Reilly, but he is right on this one.

Even a broken watch is right twice a day.

O’Reilly did say that he respected Walsh for coming on the show to face him, even though he completely disagrees with her.

I saw the interview, and the woman kept trying to talk her way around giving a direct answer.

I heard part of the “anecdotal evidence” the Walsh talked about. Cold hard numbers say she’s lying.

Walsh also tried to claim her “experts” disagreed with the expert O’Reilly brought in. Odd thing was, though, Walsh didn’t name her “experts.”

Walsh also talked about keeping abortion “rare.” Well, several million abortions later says that Walsh done very little to make abortion “rare.”

Also, I watched the exchange, Ms. Walsh was very uncomfortable trying to defend her self, she could not answer the questions, only bable her talking points and try to talk over O'Reilly.

Actually, when it comes to actual LEGISLATION, the majority has ALWAYS supported:

Bans on late term abortion.

Parental involvement in the abortion decisions of minors.

No crossing of state lines, for minors, without parental consent, to obtain an abortion.

NO taxpayer funding of abortion, at any time.

Yes, the public has ALWAYS supported those limits, in ever single State, ever since Roe.

Also, the majority would support a complete ban on abortion, except for rape, incest or to save the life of the mother. This has ALWAYS been the case.

She admits to favoring NO protection for babies in the womb right up to delivery. She also admits that she thinks Dr. Tiller was an American here.

Well, Joan, 56,000 were killed in Buchenwald...and the world justafiaby, and understandably condemns the holocaust and hunted down and executed the perpetrators.

By his own admission, Tiller butchered 60,000 and more, and yet a corrupt law, that has protected the practioners in this gruesome holocaust, protected the man from the true rule of law.

Anyone blind to the sick, evil irony of that have accepted a deparved set of circumstances and strong delusion.

I mourn Tiller's family at the loss of their father and grandfather. I doubt seriously that they knew the full and graphic nature of what he was involed in.

But I absolutely refuse to mourn the fact that he, Dr. Tiller, a bloody, gruesome killer of fully formed babies...who were alive, who could FEEL THE PAIN of being literally ripped asunder, will himself murder no more.

THE GRUESOME TRUTH OF THE ABORTION HOLOCAUST & THE DEATH OF DR. TILLER [Warning: A graphic photo of death & dismemberment]

“It is the grimmest of ironies that one of the most savage, barbaric acts of evil in history began in one of the most modernized societies of its time, where so many markers of human progress became tools of human depravity: science that can heal, used to kill; education that can enlighten, used to rationalize away basic moral impulses; the bureaucracy that sustains modern life, used as the machinery of mass death, a ruthless, chillingly efficient system where many were responsible for the killing, but few got actual blood on their hands.”–Barack Obama April 24, 2009, Holocaust Remebernce Day, Chicago Sun Times.

I’m not a BOR fan and most of the time I think he’s pretty much of a pin-head.

But he won this round against this baby killer witch.

My sister, wife, and daughter, have all remarked in conversation unrelated in any way to the issue of abortion that they noticed a big difference in how they thought of being pregnant around 90 days into the pregnancy. I don't know how common it is, but all three of them say that the fetus became more separate from themselves somehow at that point, and that's when it started setting it's own schedule for exercise, inducing famine, demanding oddball food, etc.

Though male, I'll never understand how you have things like that going on with your own body and waddle in to an abortionist to "solve" the "problems". A large part of it may be the huge mood swings that I've witnessed close up with all the women I known during their pregnancy. All of a sudden the woman is just as happy as possible and half an hour later depressed doesn't even describe it. I wonder if anyone ever did a study of how those mood swings influence a woman getting an abortion and how much those are played upon to induce someone to have one? Regards

You are right in more ways than one. These abortionists do nothing to counsel these women that they may suffer the consequences of their abortions for the rest of their lives. Many women are tortured for life about a decision that they make on the quick. The abortionists collects the money and tells them they will take care of “it”. It is only after that a woman may know that she has killed her child. They are a disgrace and the truth is most abortionists are in it for the easy money.

This woman is a radical vampire. She claimed in the interview she is a “pro-choice catholic”. When O’Reilly repeatedly asked her if she thinks these babies have any rights it reminded me of the guy pulling a crucifix from his jacket pocket and flashing it in Dracula’s face. She recoiled and tried to turn the subject away from the real point.

This sick, demented woman actually claimed to O’Reilly she is a catholic while defending this monster Tiller. We who are catholic need to purge these pro-abortion radicals from our church. Still no backlash on the Obama Notre Dame disgrace either.

Walsh also talked about keeping abortion “rare.”

It's always curious to me how pro-choice advocates always want to keep abortions "rare." But, if the fetus is not a baby, or has no rights, why would they want to make abortion rare? It seems to me that with the "keep it rare" argument they are tacitly admitting that a fetus is a separate, individual human being.
