In the famous Agatha Cristie novel And Then There Were None a group of people on an island mysteriously begins to die off due to accident or foul play.
Thankfully, this is happening in real life today with state bans on carrying concealed handgun guns for lawful purposes in alcohol serving restaurants. Last year Georgia repealed its ban on concealed carry in restaurants, and today Tennessee's ban died as well after an historic veto override by the legislature. . . . But unlike the world of novels, onerous restrictions on gun rights don't just mysteriously disappear. Gun control laws tend to have great inertia and it takes a lot of work to repeal.

Sooner or later we must get to zero. The people must once again secure the right and means to defend themselves.
Yeah, just reveal the piece.
Unfortunately, Arizona is one of the nine, and I haven’t heard anything about an effort to get that law repealed.
The state Senate just approved a bill removing the ban. I believe it goes now to the house and it is expected that Governor Brewer will sign it.
The bill states that you cannot drink alcohol while carrying, you must have a CCW, and proprietors have the right to ban concealed firearms in their establishments.
A companion bill provides clarification on what is meant, legally, by criminal brandishing of a firearm.
I’d provide the senate bill #, but have since deleted my e-mail alerts from the NRA.
SB1113, introduced by State Senator Jack Harper (R-4), would enable concealed weapons permit holders to carry concealed handguns in restaurants that serve alcohol, provided they are not consuming. Senator Harper, the restaurant industry, and NRA have worked to craft new language that will be used in place of the previous proposed posting requirements.
SB1243, sponsored by State Senator Russell Pearce (R-18), would clarify the statutory definition of defensive display of a firearm. This clarification of defensive display of a firearm is a valuable addition to your right to self-defense.
Which is an advertisement to others that the people in there are unarmed. What are they going to do? Pat everyone down or install a detector? I'd carry one in anyway.
On June 12, 2009, the Senate Committee of the Whole (COW) held a rare Friday session. Both SB 1113 (Restaurant Carry) and SB 1243 (Defensive Display) were debated on, and passed out of, the COW. Next step for both bills is a Third Read vote by the full Senate (expected on Monday, June 15,2009).
I'd urge you and anyone else in Arizona interested in gun rights to join Arizona Citizens Defense League (AzCDL)
They send out alerts and action requests to help advance 2nd Amendment rights in AZ.
That's not the title of the novel
Alchohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
Good recipe for a party.
I’ll bring the chips.
All right, I bow to your expertise. What is the proper title?
I was asking about the Agatha Christie novel. Could you give me the proper title for that one?
The original title was not exactly polite, even in 1939 when it came out.
