The Iranian Crisis: Barack Obama has failed the 3 a.m. test
Telegraph Blogs (U.K.) ^ | June 22, 2009 | Nile Gardiner

Ten days on from the fraudulent Iranian election, President Obama still looks like a deer in the headlights without a coherent strategy. His response has been weak-kneed and utterly lacking in conviction. When faced with his first real test as a world leader Barack Obama decided to press the snooze button rather than take decisive action.

It is hard to imagine Ronald Reagan sitting on the fence while a revolution took place before the eyes of the world against one of the most oppressive regimes on the planet. Obama finally issued a half-hearted statement over the weekend calling on Tehran to "stop all violent and unjust actions against its own people", only after coming under intense criticism from critics at home for his softly softly approach. By that time dozens of demonstrators had been murdered by the barbaric “security” forces and their proxy militias and thousands of protestors, including women had been brutally beaten.

The president did not though question the legitimacy of the Iranian election result, directly criticize Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, or outline any change in America’s policy towards Iran. As far as the Obama team is concerned, the demonstrations are an annoying inconvenience getting in the way of the new policy of “engagement” with rogue regimes, also known more commonly as “appeasement”. Every impression is given that the Obama White House is largely indifferent to the plight of the Iranian people and their suffering.

The most powerful man in the world is acting as though he were the leader of a small neutral nation, rather than the head of a global superpower. Barack Obama has a clear choice between siding with millions of Iranians who are clamouring for greater freedom, or aligning himself through passive acquiescence with a brutal Islamist tyranny. Just as the United States openly sided with

I guess that’s what heppens when a President surrounds himself with a bunch of gutless, latte-drinking, Kumbaya-marshmallows-around-the-campfire, pantywastes for advisors.

His problem is the Muslim thing. I'm sure he learned throughout his youth that Mullah's were boss and NOTHING will change his mind!!

He shouldn't be President!! He got there because of ignorant people.

He failed the 3 p.m. test - where you meet for 6 hours (including a working lunch) with your chosen advisers and come up with a considered response.

Nope. Time for custard.

If your advisers s^&@ you can always get new advisers. When you s^&@, well that's a problem.

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Eyewitnesses say riot police are attacking hundreds of protesters with tear gas, and firing live bullets in the air to disperse a rally in central Tehran.

He bowed to an Arab dictator. He placates the dictators. He wants to be the Supreme Leader. The riots in Iran must be disturbing to the status quo in all of the dictatorships in the area. They can put up with Al Qaeda, the Taliban, Hamas, etc., but these dictators, to whom our president grovels, cannot tolerate a civil rights movement in their midst.

Sounds like it’s time for Obama to do another photo-op with his kids. It won’t drive the Iranian story off the news entirely, but would allow the media to spend 50% of their time on that excursion.

Its probably time for another pubbie scandal to break. Rat scandals come in dribs and drabs, though they are torrential, but pubbie scandals are always released when rats are feeling the heat.

How can Obama have any kind of Conversation with the puppet Dictator Ahmadinejad ever again ?
In Public discourse via the State Run Media.......they cannot report it anymore for obvious reasons.
It would make BHO look really bad.
Another Campaign promise take back.

Same thing. Nope.

Ignorance is merely not knowing any better and being clueless.

The media knew exactly what they were doing as they led the ignorant to vote for the Marxist.

You are crediting the Media with knowing information - but that does not make them intelligent.

I did not credit the media with intelligence. I said that they are fully aware of what they are doing when they deliberately twist and distort the truth in order to mislead the American people.

And I stand by that.
