I am always amazed that the pro-abortion types don't slip up and tell the truth more often. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg just did. In an interview with the New York Times on Sotomayor Ginsburg opined that what she originally thought (read hoped) that Roe would result in Medicaid funded abortion:
Q: Are you talking about the distances women have to travel because in parts of the country, abortion is essentially unavailable, because there are so few doctors and clinics that do the procedure? And also, the lack of Medicaid for abortions for poor women?
JUSTICE GINSBURG: Yes, the ruling about that surprised me. [Harris v. McRae in 1980 the court upheld the Hyde Amendment, which forbids the use of Medicaid for abortions.] Frankly I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we dont want to have too many of. So that Roe was going to be then set up for Medicaid funding for abortion. Which some people felt would risk coercing women into having abortions when they didnt really want them. But when the court decided McRae, the case came out the other way. And then I realized that my perception of it had been altogether wrong. That is right. A sitting Justice on the Supreme Court of the United States just lamented that Roe did not mandate funding of abortion through medicaid in order to reduce "populations that we dont want to have too many of."...

Unbelievable ... and what’s even more unbelievable is that it will never see the light of day in the MSM.

She’s a liberal. This is what liberals think.
Maybe Ginsburg should start wearing white robes instead of black.
Buzzy’s off her meds - telling tales out of school!
As I understand it, that’s the same reason Planned Parenthood was started all those years ago — it was an attempt to limit the reproduction rate of the “undesirables”.
“populations that we dont want to have too many of.”...
True racism on display.
Its in the NYT... it will be noticed.
This if funny stuff...first the libs give money away to single moms (not all a bad thing), broken homes, and deadbeats and now they want to kill them in the womb. They brought on a big part of the welfare state and those that Ginsberg would probably deem “undesirable”.
Who the heck would vote for these people? There wouldn’t be enough elite liberal snobs to carry them to victory any more!

Margaret Sanger quotes
Founder of Planned Parenthood
Margaret Sanger founder of the International Planned Parenthood Federation, was a proponent of forced eugenics, segregation, abortion, birth control and sexual immorality. Here are some of her quotes.
“The most merciful thing that a family does to one of its infant members is to kill it.”
Margaret Sanger (editor). The Woman Rebel, Volume I, Number 1. Reprinted in Woman and the New Race. New York: Brentanos Publishers, 1922.
“Birth control must lead ultimately to a cleaner race.”
Margaret Sanger. Woman, Morality, and Birth Control. New York: New York Publishing Company, 1922. Page 12.
“We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We don’t want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population. and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.”
Margaret Sanger’s December 19, 1939 letter to Dr. Clarence Gamble, 255 Adams Street, Milton, Massachusetts. Original source: Sophia Smith Collection, Smith College, North Hampton, Massachusetts. Also described in Linda Gordon’s Woman’s Body, Woman’s Right: A Social History of Birth Control in America. New York: Grossman Publishers, 1976.
“Eugenic sterilization is an urgent need ... We must prevent multiplication of this bad stock.”
Margaret Sanger, April 1933 Birth Control Review.
“Eugenics is
the most adequate and thorough avenue to the solution of racial, political and social problems.
Margaret Sanger. “The Eugenic Value of Birth Control Propaganda.” Birth Control Review, October 1921, page 5.
“Birth control itself, often denounced as a violation of natural law, is nothing more or less than the facilitation of the process of weeding out the unfit, of preventing the birth of defectives or of those who will become defectives.”
[no source available at this time...]
As an advocate of birth control I wish ... to point out that the unbalance between the birth rate of the ‘unfit’ and the ‘fit,’ admittedly the greatest present menace to civilization, can never be rectified by the inauguration of a cradle competition between these two classes. In this matter, the example of the inferior classes, the fertility of the feeble-minded, the mentally defective, the poverty-stricken classes, should not be held up for emulation....
On the contrary, the most urgent problem today is how to limit and discourage the over-fertility of the mentally and physically defective.
Margaret Sanger. “The Eugenic Value of Birth Control Propaganda.” Birth Control Review, October 1921, page 5.
“The campaign for birth control is not merely of eugenic value, but is practically identical with the final aims of eugenics.”
Margaret Sanger. “The Eugenic Value of Birth Control Propaganda.” Birth Control Review, October 1921, page 5.
“Our failure to segregate morons who are increasing and multiplying ... demonstrates our foolhardy and extravagant sentimentalism ... [Philanthropists] encourage the healthier and more normal sections of the world to shoulder the burden of unthinking and indiscriminate fecundity of others; which brings with it, as I think the reader must agree, a dead weight of human waste. Instead of decreasing and aiming to eliminate the stocks that are most detrimental to the future of the race and the world, it tends to render them to a menacing degree dominant ... We are paying for, and even submitting to, the dictates of an ever-increasing, unceasingly spawning class of human beings who never should have been born at all.”
Margaret Sanger. The Pivot of Civilization, 1922. Chapter on “The Cruelty of Charity,” pages 116, 122, and 189. Swarthmore College Library edition.
“The undeniably feeble-minded should, indeed, not only be discouraged but prevented from propagating their kind.”
Margaret Sanger, quoted in Charles Valenza. “Was Margaret Sanger a Racist?” Family Planning Perspectives, January-February 1985, page 44.
“The third group [of society] are those irresponsible and reckless ones having little regard for the consequences of their acts, or whose religious scruples prevent their exercising control over their numbers. Many of this group are diseased, feeble-minded, and are of the pauper element dependent upon the normal and fit members of society for their support. There is no doubt in the minds of all thinking people that the procreation of this group should be stopped.”
Margaret Sanger. Speech quoted in Birth Control: What It Is, How It Works, What It Will Do. The Proceedings of the First American Birth Control Conference. Held at the Hotel Plaza, New York City, November 11-12, 1921. Published by the Birth Control Review, Gothic Press, pages 172 and 174.
“The marriage bed is the most degenerative influence in the social order...”
Margaret Sanger (editor). The Woman Rebel, Volume I, Number 1. Reprinted in Woman and the New Race. New York: Brentanos Publishers, 1922.
“[Our objective is] unlimited sexual gratification without the burden of unwanted children...”
Margaret Sanger (editor). The Woman Rebel, Volume I, Number 1. Reprinted in Woman and the New Race. New York: Brentanos Publishers, 1922.
“Give dysgenic groups [people with ‘bad genes’] in our population their choice of segregation or [compulsory] sterilization.”
Margaret Sanger, April 1932 Birth Control Review.
“As we celebrate the 100th birthday of Margaret Sanger, our outrageous and our courageous leader, we will probably find a number of areas in which we may find more about Margaret Sanger than we thought we wanted to know...”
Faye Wattleton, Past-president of Planned Parenthood
Margaret Sanger, Founder of Planned Parenthood, proposed the American Baby Code that states, “No woman shall have the legal right to bear a child without a permit for parenthood”.
Margaret Sanger, Founder of Planned Parenthood, proposed the Population Congress with the aim, “...to give certain dysgenic groups in our population their choice of segregation or sterilization.”
Did somebody slip her some sodium penethol? I thought that was one of the more closely guarded open secrets.
No surprise it's coming out of her own mouth....
Ask her about the “Schvartzies”.
If a normal person had said that, it would be all over the media.
What "populations" are you talking about Ruthie...BLACKS??? CHRISTIANS???? Certainly NOT JEWS!
I assume that the Anything-But-Honorable Lady is an atheist (like so many of her fellow "progressives")and, thanks to that, isn't particularly disturbed by the fact that Hitler, for example, didn't want to have "too many" Jews around. But she's gotta be deeply troubled by the fact that he didn't want too many Communists around either.
So I'd suggest to Mrs Ginzburg that she be *very* careful about what she's prepared to tolerate in this world.
Liberal thinking (nonthinking that is) makes me sick.
Communism/Marxism/Hitlarism all have eugenics at their base. Not so surprising, unless you are an enabling "elite", in which case it makes perfect sense that they would deny and be "shocked" at such a revelation of themselves. Commie's first rule, don't let your real intent be known, to yourself or to others.
As EternalVigilance points out, Margaret Sanger was the first President of planned parenthood and was a big believer in eugenics. Of course it’s always stated that she was not truly a racist. She just wanted to see all the undesirables exterminated. In her view, the undesirables were the minorities and the poor.
One other thing of note that EternalVigilance did not point out. The Nazis did not invent eugenics. They got the ideas from people like Margaret Sanger who were espousing it in America in the 20s.
That is an amazing admission about racism.
Sinister, however, it also is solid evidence that there are those who consider themselves more than a ruling class (which is bad enough), but as actual "OverLords" of lesser sub-humans than themselves.
See article and #25
*THIS* is why Madge is so deeply adored by "progressives" from Cambridge to Berkeley to Malibu.
BUMP.

Well said.
My goodness, and here I was doing some research this morning trying to get some genealogical information on Martin Bormann and this thing pops up.
He couldn't have said it better.
Looks like the masks are coming off the "Wise Latina's" eh?!
They usually hide it, but it's always been there. Racial "purity."
I just read a little more of this piece....and what I read reveals in pretty clear terms what a truly despicable individual she is.
Ginsberg is a racist. Sotomayer is a racist. Obama is a racist.
How much longer, as God-fearing Americans, are we going to put up with this crap!
“sodium penethol”
should be used for confirmation hearings, political debates, oath of office, etc. in conjunction with polygraph.

“So who gets to decide who is “undesirable”? “
whoever is in charge
I’d like to see random drug and alcohol testing for all members of the Congress.A breathalizer before every important vote would be a nice touch too.
Then email it, tweet it, send it to whoever you have to. Who said you can’t report news? We can’t fix the MSM but we can sure as hell go around ‘em.
I wonder if she’s related to Margaret Sanger??
I think the more pressing question is how long is a holy and just God going to put up with us!
This would be another nice entry of that new game “What if Bush had said.....”
Communism/Marxism/Hitlarism all have eugenics at their base.
BINGO...
...and throughout the 20th century this group of peoples number one method of Eugenics was STARVATION!!!
1) Ukraine
2) Cambodia
3) China
.....just three of the most well known examples...
“And near that place I saw another strait place into which the gore and the filth of those who were being punished ran down and became there as it were a lake: and there sat women having the gore up to their necks, and over against them sat many children who were born to them out of due time, crying; and there came forth from them sparks of fire and smote the women in the eyes: and these were the accursed who conceived and caused abortion.” Apocalypse of Peter
“will never see the light of day in the MSM.”
+++++++++++++++
There is no light of day in the MSM. That is an oxymoron - like ‘efficient government.’
populations that we dont want to have too many of....
True racism on display.
+++++++++++++++++++++
Is this Maragaret Sanger, or Ruth Bader Ginsburg...hmmmph...and they call us names? Wow...!
“Its in the NYT... it will be noticed.”
+++++++++++++++
But if it were a conservative, you’d see wall to wall coverage for two weeks or more, all over the cable channels...etc...it won’t get that kind of coverage...they are bigots. They are the enemy.
Funny (not) that the killer of Jews and a Jewish “intellectual” think the same way, eh?
“What “populations” are you talking about Ruthie...BLACKS??? CHRISTIANS???? Certainly NOT JEWS!”
+++++++++++++++++++
That’s sooooooooooooo 1920s...what was she thinking....really!? Another idiotic Clintong legacy...
