Oh I meant the Gadsen flags - EBay has dozens of them for cheap.

Are Matt's books the ones about the Missouri Earthquake and resultant societal chaos? I read an excerpt last week that was fascinating but forgot to Bookmark it on FR.

Yes, that's the third book, Foreign Enemies and Traitors.

The first one deals with a mini-war that breaks out between the BATFE and some gun owning patriots after "assault weapons" are banned following the massacre of maybe 20 or so at the Super Bowl and the resulting death of hundreds as they try to flee the stadium.

The second deals with what happens to Ranya Bardiwell, one of the main characters from the first, as she tries to recover her son who was taken from her at birth, while she was in "preventive detention" as a potential terrorist. (Think Nappy's memo)

The books loosely follow the same story line, with a lot of characters unique to each book.

E-Bay. Dozens of them.

Yes.

I personally know a conservative, family run business that sells them, and offers discounts to FReepers. FReepmail if you want more info.

By the way, the trend has been greatly increasing since the election, and when Glenn Beck chose the Gadsden Flag as his symbol, the demand has been tremendous!

Here

Then you would think my books would interest him. He's mentioned "enemies foreign and domestic" lots recently, just not in the context of my first novel.

Check out this t-shirt rendition of the Gadsden snake/rifle design. It’s pretty kick-a$$. I’m getting one.

The cover alone should make it a "Best Seller"!

Love the shirt.
FReepers should get those to wear at the National Tea Party Protest in Washington.

Listening now. The entire 2 Hours of his show. Wow. That is very unusual. He usually has people on for maybe 30 minutes at best.

For that don’t know, Peter Boyles is THE morning drive time AM radio show in Denver.

Cool - that is the snake flag?

It's one of them.

Gadsen Flag

Here's another.

First Naval Jack

020911-N-4397B-001 Naval Station Pascagoula, Miss. (Sep. 11, 2002) -- Operations Specialist 2nd Class Michael McKenna from Providence, R.I., raises the “Navy Jack” for the first time at morning colors, on Sept. 11, 2002, aboard the guided missile cruiser USS Thomas S. Gates (CG 51). Under direction of the Secretary of the Navy, Gordon R. England, all U.S. Navy ships will fly the “Navy Jack” in place of the “Union Jack” for the duration of the war on terrorism. The “Navy Jack” is a flag consisting of a rattlesnake superimposed across thirteen horizontal alternating red and white stripes, with the motto, “Don’t Tread on Me.” Gates is undergoing a maintenance availability at Naval Station Pascagoula. U.S. Navy photo by Stacey Byington.

Before 9-11-02, but after 1980, it was only flown over the commissioned ship in active status with the most time in active status. (The actual "first Jack" probably did not have the snake.. but what they heck, they do now.. until The One finds out about it anyway).
