"Two cracked out [girls] try to pull a beer run on me for about $70 worth of beer. The gun i carry is a Ruger P345D .45 ACP. I opened the door for em and told em to have a good night... cause I'm nice like that :)"

funny
Works for me. I used to work in a store across the street from the worst housing project in Nashville, Tn. I understand completely.
Don’t know why, but most of firearms are Rugers. Pistols, rifles and scatterguns.....
That’s awesome.
Should have made them put the beer back.
Hope he doesn’t get in trouble.
Chivalry is always important. Your mother raised you right.
I have a Glock... and a S&W, and a Traus, and a Savage, and an FNH...
Sweet. But too bad they weren’t arrested.
Or Dead!!!!!
We'll see....taking it out Saturday to run a hundred or so rounds through it.
I opened the door for em and told em to have a good night... cause I’m nice like that
Outstanding way to show kindness to people- both you & the Ruger. Great job!
I have two glocks, love ‘em. I have two Smiths for hand use and two for waterfowling. More Rugers than I can count without taking my pants off....
;-)
I think it’s a little excessive to feel it is “too bad” the two girls aren’t dead for being idiots and trying to steal beer. Don’t you?
You really want to lump them in the same category as hardened thugs that would kill you for just being there? Or the same as thugs who’d pull a home invasion on you and slaughter your family?
Get a little perspective before posting crap like that. We are pro second amendment here, that doesn’t mean we can’t wait to blow someone away. Geez.
LOL - Cool beans.
CRACK HOES WOULD CUT YOUR THROAT IN A NY MINUTE!
Right you are, Secret......
Bah! We just want an excuse to use all the ammo we’ve been hoarding and stockpiling!
;)
Not to hijack this thread...but, there are some gun folks around here on this evening....
Spotted this Cabela’s ad in the AM paper. I know, it’s a cheap rifle.
Anybody have any experience with Hi Point?
It’s a 9mm rifle under $200. ten shots. Can’t seem to link directly to the gun in the ad....
Hyperbole, to be sure, but it’s not like they were stealing bread for their poor babies. Don’t deserve death, of course, but they sure looked at ease. Stupid little thugs. They need their hind-ends tanned.
I’ve a P85MKII
She’s big and beefy and somewhat difficult to conceal...
But, she goes bang everytime and MN law doesn’t require me to carry it concealed....
I have one in 45 Auto, works as advertised. Total was $192 for the gun and a box of ammo and the paperwork if you know where to shop.
BTW - Another video on the site, two thieves were not to lucky in China. Even I felt sorry for them...

Good deal...I have to love Mississippi law...my car is no different then my home and my property...I can carry concealed or carry wide open on my seat...It is my property.
Thanks....
Are they really junked up crack whores or stupid idiot college girls? I can’t tell from the video. And yes I would definitely agree with you and say those are two very different categories, requiring different levels of defense.
Even so, no pro-gun person worth anything revels in the idea of ‘oh it’s too bad they’re alive’, that the guy didn’t get an honest chance to blow them away. Life only gets more complicated and unpleasant for you AFTER that. Guns may solve certain problems but for the law abiding they create others.
Hi-point rifles are fine for short distances in urban areas and even better you can probably use your handgun ammo in them. Lightweight. And you can for $60 bucks get a much nicer synthetic black stock so you end up with something that isn’t so butt ugly.
You just reiterated my point. I agree.
Thanks. I’ve never cared about ugly, just does the tool serve my purpose....
Well, it won’t be the biggest or accurate at distances outside 100 yards, and it won’t fire the most penetrating rounds, but yes, you have to consider how and where it will be used. With some things you don’t want to overpenetrate and possibly hit innocent people. Maybe you don’t want a round that if you miss, it travels for half a mile and could hit somebody you never intended to hit. Maybe it’s in your best interest to have a rifle that can use the same ammo as your handgun so it’s one less caliber to worry about lugging around or running out of. If you have a hi-point handgun the magazines might even be interchangeable between the two, so it makes your life that much easier too. Both can probably handle +P (9mm plus pressure) rounds, so you will have a hotter round coming out of the barrel, which is good, you need it for 9mm.
There are pluses and minuses to everything.
Not quite following you. Did you leave out a word? Like most of YOUR firearms are Rugers? or Most of [insert description here] firearms are Rugers? Not trying to be a needle nose, just can't quite figure out what you meant.
So very true, I would not shoot someone over a beer... now over my life or theirs is another story.
What did they try to take?
please elucidate on that (MN law not requiring concealment). I thought only licensed people (whatever that means) could carry open in MN.
Yeah it is a Ruger, so when you run out of bullets you can beat them to death with it and it will still work...
With a permit, in MN, one can carry either open or concealed.
Yes, sorry.....MY.....
DOn’t know if I would agree that most firearms are Rugers, but indeed very many are. Rugers are inexpensive, and they generally work. Hence their popularity.
In PA, one needs a permit to cary concealed.
However, in PA, ANYONE can open carry.
Most of MY firearms are Rugers. Sorry for the typo....
Ruger makes a .327 revolver that is the ultimate point and click CGC handgun. Almost as much punch as the .357 (and a lot more than a .38 or a nine) with only 2/3 the bulk and half the recoil.
If I understand correctly, then you need to get a concealed carry permit to be able to carry concealed or open?
Seems typical of the bassackwards legislation in this state...
It’s a permit to carry. “On, or about ones person or clothing.”
Is this even feasable? I would think that a round that does both things would do neither well. I have heard of rifles that employ a .44 or .45 magnum, but that would be way too powerful for a handgun in my wife's little paws. Me too, for that matter.
I'm ignorant of ballistics, but I assume a .44 magnum load would have a lot of drop when shot from a rifle, as opposed to a true rifle round.
OK, then is it a ccw permit, or something in addition to? I’m interested in this so I can be covered either way.
Again...it is a permit to carry...anyway you choose. The word “concealed” isn’t anywhere in the law.
Perfectly clear now. Sorry for dragging you through that!
Much appreciated :)
It would have less drop than from a handgun (longer barrel) and it would have more velocity (longer barrel). It would also be more accurate the longer distance you were aiming for (assuming you can aim).
As far as feasible, there are plenty of 9mm carbines out there. Ruger made one, in 9mm and 40 caliber, with magazines that were interchangeable with their p85/89 series handguns. Beretta makes a 9mm carbine that uses 9mm magazines that might work in their handguns. Hi-point does. Others do.
Granted 9mm isn’t a very strong round compared to others, when you put it in a rifled barrel, it comes out with more velocity/energy, and will generally stay on target better, for a longer distance because of the longer barrel. So it should perform better out of the rifled barrel than your short handgun barrel.
Glad to help.
“Open carry:
If you can own a firearm, you may lawfully openly carry it on foot without a license. Except in a City of the First Class(1 million residents), you are required to have a license. Philly is the ONLY First Class city in PA, the next largest city, Pittsburgh, is about 550,000 residents away from being one.
You also need a LTCF to open carry in a vehicle, and to carry any gun during a declared state of emergency.”
I know you know this.
you wuss...how dare you not cowboy up and join the pitchfork glee club here
just looked at the vid
this could have been cooked...
