From a continuing story at Ohio.Com and my post on Freerepublic.Com, "This Is A Black World!" 50 Black Teens Shout, Then Attack White Family In Street"

'John Alchier said he was frustrated that an injury barred him from helping his brother. He has been paralyzed below the waist since a motorcycle crash 11 years ago. ''I couldn't do anything and I just yelled out, 'Help us, Jesus' and when I did that, they all just kind of went away.'

Akron looked like a neutron bomb had gone off last time I was there. Acres of empty buildings, closed downtown shops, four lane thoroughfares pass once lovely homes with unmowed lawns.

It’s past time for a “divorce”.

Lefties, leftist policies, and the results of those policies over on that side of the line,

the rest of us will be on this side of the line.

And don’t you DARE try to come over here bringing your ideology that caused the problems you’re escaping from.

The PS90 and 59 rd magazine (shown above), would have been nearly ideal for self defense in such a situation... too few rounds in a [typical] shotgun, too close for a 40mm M203 round, but the PS90 has none of those restrictions.

This case is proof that high-capacity magazines ARE valid for self-defense.

....last year “Gun Digest” ran a article recommending a second clip for concealed carry licensees....this was based on the higher volume of fire now occuring in public gun fights.

Wow... back in the early 70’s my girlfriend and me were sitting in NYC at a local park. A black young man came up to me and said, ‘Get up against that tree’. I said what? he repeated it again.... I just stared at him and deep inside me I sensed the name of Jesus just flowed out of me and yet I remained in silent stare at him.
The kid slunk away like a crazy loon screeching “Capone MF, Capone MF”. There IS power in the name of Jesus.

This incident makes me re-think the telling of the aftermath of the EMP attack in William D. Fortschen’s novel “One Second After”. If you have not read that novel, I recommend that you do as soon as possible.

We have argued back and forth here at FR about the likelihood of an EMP attack, but if we have this kind of mob violence going on right now in urban areas like Akron, one can only imagine what it would be like if what’s left of Civil order finally dies along with the electricity for an extended period of time.

Those black teenagers who were shouting “It’s a black world” and “It’s our world” as they were beating every white person they could find, would not survive the first real food riot in Akron, and would probably either starve to death or die fighting each other to see who gets eaten first.

Too dangerous to your rights.
Get caught doing it and you’ll never be able to legally own the means to protect yourself again.

I would, however, carry if I knew I was going into a dangerous area - it’s simply a risk analysis.

We need to change our state laws to make it the NORM to be able to carry, not the exception.

Yup, a second (or third magazine) is definitely the rule of thumb these days. It's not a bad idea to consider an inexpensive and reliable long gun for your vehicle either.

Ironically the democratic mayor (a white man) called on the FBI to investigate this as a hate crime when the local PD went turtle. Even fat al sharpton spoke out against this attack, but in the end it will probably be swept under the rug. Then Akron will continue its slide as whites and others who tire of the uncivility leave.

When greater than 97% of the black community still strongly endorse Obama the support cannot be about policy or party politics, it is about race. There is something very disturbing at the acceptance of black racism and the tolerance by the media and law enforcement of violent black racists. I worry that when a violent backlash comes it will be the excuse this administration needs to “temporarily” set aside portions of the constitution and elections until the crisis is over.

Mr. Sig,

I went through the mandatory 8 hour “course” to obtain my CCW about 6 weeks ago. My instructor, an ex-cop actually scared me about the legalities/complications of obtaining such a permit.

I teach at a mid-western landgrant university (Kansas State) where it is absolutely prohibited to possess a gun in my office much less my pickup while it is parked on university property. I asked my instructor the question “what if some perp started shooting people on campus like Va Tech, could I lawfully retrieve my weapon and protect myself and students if the situation was warranted?” He basically told me “that if 5 lives were saved I would be a hero” or “I could be hung out to dry by the local law and lose my position”. He simply didn’t have a clear cut answer. Hell, he told the class how many of his fellow officers were afraid that their superiors would not support them if a weapon was used in the line of duty.

So, the quandry for me is do I really need a ccw if I don’t intend on carrying a weapon on my person but instead will keep a weapon in my pickup in the event I find myself in a situation to protect my life?

I am really conflicted by this. With our 2nd amendment rights, why the hell do I need a ccw in the first place?

I would appreciate it if anybody would help me think through this before I go to the local LE office, get finger printed and pay the $150 dollars to obtain this license.

Thanks,

MFO

If any of them had pulled out a gun and used it to defend himself, he would have been accused of a hate crime against blacks and arrested on the spot.

If he had shot anyone, then he would have been a "crazed gunman" shooting at a bunch of innocent teenage blacks who were just having a little fun.

This society has become so corrupted by Liberals and this culture of victimhood that I doubt is will ever recover. Too many "rights" have been given to criminals. Imagine if this had happened in the 50's. Cops would have been out crackin heads until they found the criminals and they would have been punished. Now we just apologize for them and say that they are the "true victims" of an oppressive society.

Carter, like all liberals who claim to be Christians,
has been taken captive by the hollow and deceptive philosopies of this world.

He, and they, choose “liberalism” as truth instead of God’s word as truth. The two ideologies are incompatible. Some are fooled, some are blind, some are willful.
