The Three Big Lies of ObamaCare
Real Clear Politics ^ | 07/21/2009 | Michael Tanner

In making his case for a government takeover of the US health-care system, President Obama is going far beyond the usual Washington truth-stretching. Take a look at just a few of the most common claims:

"If you like your current health-care plan, you can keep it." Even White House spokesmen have said that Obama's oft-repeated pledge that you can keep your current insurance isn't meant to be taken literally. The reality is that millions of Americans - perhaps most Americans - will be forced to change insurance plans.

Just calling it a “health care plan” is a LIE! It is a “PLAN FOR POWER AND CONTROL” over a socialist state placing a radical government in control of your life and existence, and a HUGE amount of spending and debt, and a massive REDISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH program at the same time.

“The reality is that millions of Americans - perhaps most Americans - will be forced to change insurance plans”

***

The only plan available for me may be the government plan. I understand that when my COBRA benefits run out, if I don’t get into an individual plan before ObamaCare kicks in, I will have be forced to go with the government plan. There will be no choice.

Here's how you can know they are lies...

1) Obama said it.

2) Obama promised it.

3) Obama supports it.

Therefore you can know that everything said or promised about it is a lie and a ruse so that he can implement another unconstitutional power grab.

I don’t know which thread to post this in.

Is being forced into a “health care” plan run by the gov’t even CONSTITUTIONAL??? What gives them permission to even plan this for us? !!!!

Why are republicans saying things like “well we have to slow down, the cost is too high, let’s see what else we can do” as if ANY kind of plan like this in any modified state
is ACCEPTABLE??? Is there anyone saying “HEY BACK OFF!! WE DON”T NEED NO STINKIN HEALTH CARE REFORM!” Why does it seem to me that the pubbies are just going to either go along with this crap or pass another piece of crap that is STILL bullshit?

What are the insurance companies saying?

Are they doing this to finally push people over the edge into madness so they can declare marshall law and never hold another eletion again? THAT”S what I think this is really about!

I’m losing my shit here, please pardon my language but that’s how it is. Like so many, my nerves are shot and my my anxiety level is in hyperdrive. Looking for the next best country. It won’t be as good as America was, but I’ll be damned if I give one ounce of effort to support this bastard imposter.

No Wife of D it is not Constitutional. The 13th Amendment, while being famous for ending Slavery, also contains a “Contracts Clause”. Whereas the government cannot coerce you into entering a contract. In the SCOTUS case United States vs Reynolds, the court described a “Wheel of Servitude”. Buying insurance is entering a contract.

What say the AMA now?

Contrary to popular myth, the AMA today doesn't represent any more than a small minority of American physicians. It's been hemorrhaging membership for decades, largely because it has tilted to the left and has developed a symbiotic relationship with government. An online cooperative of physicians conducted a poll of the nation's doctors and reported that 89% of them agreed with the statement: "The AMA doesn't speak for me."
