Here is video of Dick Morris talking with Sean Hannity last night about Democrats planning to try and pass Government Health Care with only 50 votes (plus VP Joe Biden as tie-breaker) after they return from the August recess. According to Morris, Senate Dems plan to use rules in the "Reconciliation Process" that will allow them to avoid having to get the 60 votes needed to invoke cloture.

Morris and Hannity urged listeners to use August to attend town hall meetings and forums on health care and let their voices be heard, in addition to writing letters to Senators and Congressmen.

The video also has the two talking about the Health Care bill and how it will mean rationing of care, particularly for older people. Morris shared that his father is 99 years old, and that under ObamaCare he would not be approved for the procedures he has needed to stay alive. Morris says Republicans must explain to the public that ObamaCare will mean the end of Medicare and seniors being able to get the care they need.

I doubt it. The dems could not have forgotten what happened when they were the minority party and they could rely on Senate minority voting rules. They would be the ones who destroyed minority rights and would have nothing to whine about if the repubs took over fully in 2012 and rammed everything up their asses.

Given Chuckie "The Footstool" Schumer's comment yesterday that the Dems will pass the bill without Republican support and, if necessary, via a procedural move to make an end-around the Energy and Commerce Commission, it is extraordinarily clear that there is an "Us vs. Them" mentality in Congress. These people are so out of touch and so wrapped up in their power that they have forgotten who employs them.

NEVER, in the last 100 years has it been so clear that the only way to fix the problems with our government is to have a complete and total House (and Senate) cleaning, starting next year. NO incumbents, PERIOD!!! Not one. I don't care if they DID get your Aunt Mabel's teeth fuxed, NO INCUMBENTS!!!!

IF Zero and his administration lasts long enough, let's show folks like Chuckie the door and introduce him and all the rest to the wonderful world of unemployment benefits.

I agree. IMO, we're already seeing the early stages of it with the heckling and jeering the politicians are getting all across the country at the townhall meetings.

You would think it would make some of them think twice, but too many of these arrogant a$$hats are convinced that we just don't know what's good for us!

I beg to differ and, by tossing their butts out of office starting next year, we'll show them that we know very well what's good for us.

The downside of that is that the Republicans will reap the benefit of the left's self-destruction without having to lift a finger or change a thing to appeal to their conservative base!! So, the country may ultimately win, but Republicans and conservatives will end up the big losers!!

Democrats can count on at least some Republicans to stand on principles when the Pubs are in power, so Dems are safe to ignore them when they are. And the Democrat leadership can retaliate aganst members who don't play ball by removing them from committee positions. The Pub leaders can't, due to their party rules. So the Dems have unity and the Pubs are fractured.

Here is a link to the full House Democrat Health Care Plan in PDF. In Section 1233 E & F, pages 426-433, you find the part about mandatory end-of-life counseling for anyone over 65 years of age. Section 152 Page 50: All healthcare services will be provided without regard to "personal characteristcs" which is not defined within the document but is understood to include immigration status.

Section 224 b Page 125: The Secretary shall design and implement the payment mechanisms and policies under this section in a manner that — (1) seeks to (B) reduce health disparities (including racial, ethnic and other disparities).

A lot more provisions now being documented at that site.

Donwload it, read it, study it, then hammer your reps over it and pass it on to all you know asking them to do the same.

They can try to do this but I suspect a few moderate senior dems won’t go for this type of power play. Payback will suck at some point and the repubs will have the health care push through to point to.
