Wow! Christmas, er, Chanukah came early this year. Back in June I wrote this post castigating pseudo-intellectual comedian Jon Stewart, who on his Daily Show declared that Fox News watchers were “extremists who view the world through s**t-colored glasses.”

This is ostensibly in contrast to the moderate, intelligent, tolerant, and enlightened folk who call themselves “liberal” and vote Democrat.

Lo and behold, this morning my comment box contained this tirade from “Samantha” from Canada (hence the “humour” spelling):

Two tiny problems with this: First of all, intelligence tends to be very subjectively defined and inconsistently applied. By Samantha’s standard, Barack Obama’s Harvard degree is enough to earn him respect. But by the same logic George W. Bush’s Yale degree should as well (Oh yeah, I forgot: W’s Daddy got him in, so it doesn’t count.)

Agreed, but if GW's dad got him into Yale, then I suspect Obama's race got him into Harvard. Also, doesn't GW hold degrees from both Yale & Harvard?

Either way, that poster is out of her mind.
